The Can Opens Wednesday At 4PM On "EXPRESS YOURSELF"

Starting this Wednesday January 2,2008 "Express Yourself"radio talk show goes to 2 hours daily from 4-6PM on AM 990 KWAM. This afternoon drive time program will be the most controversial radio program on the air in Memphis.

The show will have the wattage of 10,000 watts and will give a daily shocking volt daily. There is no subject that is off limits,and no public figure that has a safe haven. This program is not a non bias program,because I will daily show my bias when it comes to local issues,and push political candidates that I think need to win.

There will be surprise calls made to political figures and persons in the news,along with remote broadcast all over the so call crime war zones. The program will take a special interest in Black on Black crime and will do not only in studio shows but will set up forums in the community.

This Wednesday my guest will be the young lady who witnessed the murder of DeAunta Farrow whose apartment was firebombed, you will be very interested in her story. On Thursday The Shannon Street Massacre remembered with family members of Lindberg Sanders. Hear for the first time what really happened 25 years ago when then mayor Dick Hackett ordered the death of 7 Black men.

Rev. Al Sharpton Will Lead March In Little Rock For Judge Victor Hill's Right To Convene Special Grand Jury

On January 24,2008 a march will be held on the outside of the Arkansas Supreme Court in Little Rock, led by the Rev.Al Sharpton. This march is "The Call For Justice" from the high court as West Memphis Circuit Court judge Victor L. Hill goes before the court to seek to be allowed to follow the laws of the state and convene a Special Grand Jury in the murder of 12 year old DeAunta Farrow.

There will be 10 luxury buses leaving from Memphis and West Memphis at 5AM on the 24th of January carrying 500 people on what's being called "A Freedom Ride". There is no need for Erik Sammis or the West Memphis police to think that the quest for justice is over,Its only just begun.

Did Memphis Police Officer Cover For Her Boyfriend In The Killing Of Her Other Boy Friend Whose Also A Cop?

It is my firm belief that Officer Jeremy Kyles was murdered by his girlfriend's other boyfriend Justin Davis, on Sunday June 3,2008. In reading the official statements given to Sheriff Department homicide detectives and reading the autospy report it's clear that Justin Watson and Teresita Watson had to be at two separate location or they didn't get their stories together.

One must also wonder why a police officer who has been shot and has a dead body laying on her floor would not allow the police to enter. This story is based on the official statements that both Watson and Davis gave to the Shelby County Sheriff's Department.

Teresita Watson Version: her statement was given to Sgt. R.W.Sides and Sgt Chris Harris also in the room was attorney Ted Hansom and MPD officer Ms. Jones Park this is report # 0706000246SH which was typed by Diane Moore.

In her statement Watson states that Justin Davis was supposed to be coming over to her house because she told him that she wanted to see him, She states "I told him I wanted to see him,so we was going to spend time earlier that morning cause we had been out and I said when I get home he's going to come over to my house". She goes on to state that she laid down roughly around "5:00 maybe 5:40" when she heard a knock at the door, She goes on to say that she got up to see who it was and when she looked out the window she didn't see anyone. she says that she got up because she thought it was Davis.

After not seeing anyone at the door she states that shre laid back down. ( Are we to believe that a police officer hears someone knocking at her door and lays back down after no one is at the door). She goes on and states that "I laid back down and I could hear somebody in my backyard, so what I did was i got up and I looked like cornerwise through my blinds and I seen Jeremy looking through the window, so I got up.(How was she able to look out the blinds in bed when there's space between the bed and the window) I immediately got up and went to the door."

She states that Jeremy is her ex-boyfriend and that he is dressed in his full uniform. She also states that he is on duty and even takes a call while at her house. She also states that his shift is from 11:30 pm-7:30 AM. She states that Jeremy says " i know somebody been over here and that you're going to tell me the truth,why you just want tell me the truth about you and whoever you're dating"( I don't think that the word dating is the word he would have used).

Here's where her statement gets interesting, the detectives ask her what happened after he checked his call with the dispatcher where she replies " And so we was talking and ah and I finally I was like well you know gone LEAVE,you know,I'm fixing to lay back down because I'm sleepy cause I had just got in late, SO HE LEFT." If this statement that was given and is recorded is true how does what happens next take place if he LEFT her home as she states?

This is where her story takes a change, even though she's already stated that Kyles left her home she goes on to state that she told him to leave but Kyles just sat there for a minute,she tells him to wait a minute and goes into her her bedroom and calls Davis on his cell phone and tells him to hold up for a minute because jeremy has popped up at her house.

Watsons tells the investigators that she made the call to Davis from her cell phone number 517-2034 to Davis's cell at 337-7189 but does not remember what time it is. Watson states that she told Davis to hold up because she was trying to get rid of Jeremy before Davis came over. (I thought he had left).

She states that Davis said "Okay" and she hangs up the phone. She then states " I went back in there and I started back talking to Jeremy,just try to get rid of him because I knew he gets crazy So i was like you need to go on and leave,I'm fixing to get ready and lay back down and go to bed. So when I saw that he was fixing to get ready to leave I went back in my room again and called justin. I was like Justin just come on.Cause I knew I had Justin waiting. I told him to come over,so I had him waiting." Now why didn't she just wait until Kyles was gone before calling Davis? But then again I thought she said he had already left.

Watson states that davis came on over got out of his Jeep and stood outside her front door for a minute and that Kyle was sitting on her table. She's asked where was she standing and she replies "I was standing in front of the door". She goes on to state that Jeremy was sitting on the table but couldn't see Davis until Davis said something and jeremy looked around the door and saw Davis. She states that Jeremy says nothing to Davis, then she states that jeremy says to Davis "Can you give us a minute?"

The investigators ask her what did Davis say and where did he go,she states that Davis says "Okay" and "he just stood right where he was at first standing in the middle of the walkway. Watson then states something that is very hard for me to believe "jeremy said he didn't want to go outside because he didn't want to feel embarrassed. So i said well Jeremy I'm going to let you out my garage. So we ended up,I told Justin to come on in,but at the same time me and Jeremy was walking to the garage and I had let the garage door open and everything,and we were just sitting there,we was talking while justin was sitting in my living room." (What where they sitting on in the garage according to pictures there were no chairs).

Watson goes on to state that while the two of them were in the garage jeremy asks her if Davis is making her happy and why is she treating him like this.she replies " Yes he makes me happy I'm not doing you like this cause it's been over between us and I don't know how many times I'm going to stressed that that we're over" she states that Kyles replies "I'll go kill that nigger right now".

Watson states she tells Kyles that he doesn't want to do that, she states that he was reaching for his holster trying to get his gun out but he states to her "You really do like him don't you?" then she states that he left. My question is how many times did he leave? if what she says is true in the beginning of her statement to the investigators that Kyles Left when she told him she was sleepy prior to Davis arrival how did all the rest of this happen

As Watson continues with her statement she goes on to state that her and Davis talked for a minute after Kyles left in the living room. she states that they ended up going to the bedroom laying in bed talking. She states that she does not know what time it is but its daylight,but in her very next sentence she states "I know it was pass his shift hours because I know I looked at the clock and it said 7:35 (Which was only 5 minutes after Kyles shift ended) but at that time we was laying in bed,and we was talking,joking and stuff like that" then she states "And all of a sudden I heard a big , old loud bang I already knew who it was,and so I jumped up out the bed and Justin jumped up too, and when I went around my corner in my hallway I could see him with the gun in his hand> I was like what you fixing to do,what you doing,. I said Jeremy you don't need to do this,its not worth it,and I kept pushing him back and he pushed me out the way".

Watson states to the investigators that Kyles pushed her the sleigh couch in the living room, she states that she jumped up real quick cause "this boy is fixing to get ready and shoot this boy". She goes on to state that Kyles says " I'm fixing to kill me a motherfucker,I'm fixing to kill both of y'all" My question is if this is true why didn't he kill her in the hallway,if his intent was to kill her why push her away, knowing that she may have a weapon close.

She states at this point "while I was hollering ON THE GROUND, I got up and I immediately ran in there I could see Justin standing against my window and Jeremy standing at the doorway and Jeremy had his gun out like this and I seen Justin had drew his weapon too, and it just just shots went fired" Why was Watson on the ground hollering when she stated prior that when Kyles pushed her down she got up quickly?

She states that Kyles pushed her and kept walking and that both men had their guns up and she heard a bunch of shots she states that she doesn't know how many but felt a burning sensation. She states she sees Kyles fall just like she was falling. according to her Justin runs over to both of them and both of them were checking on Kyles,and while she had Kyles she tells Jeremy to call the police and to get an ambulance. She tells Davis to go across the street and call somebody when he comes back he's talking to somebody on his cell. She states it was the 911 dispatcher and he was talking to someone else on her house phone .

She states while she's taking care of Kyles Justin was calling 911. She goes on to state that because Kyles was still moving she immediately moved his gun away from him cause it was still near his hands because some people get up and start shooting.( In Justin's statement he claims that he's the one that removed the gun) Then she states that Davis took both the guns and placed them on a table.

At this point the investigators ask her about Davis's gun, she states that earlier she had seen the gun. she states that he had it in a holster and placed it on her dresser,then she tells the investigators she's not sure whether the gun was in a holster or not. She also states that she does not know why kind of gun it was, just that he had it. She's asked if she's ever seen the gun before she says no,and never noticed him with a gun before.

If you think there are holes in her story wait until tomorrow when I give you Davis's version. i intented to post it tonight but this story got much longer than expected. but there are a few more important details i must add to this article. according to the autopsy report Jeremy Kyles was shot twice, once in the chest and once in the neck. The report states that the shot to the neck was from back to front, which means that Kyles was shot from behind.

This is very interesting in that Kyles was facing forward when he entered the bedroom, so how did he get shot from behind and which shot hit him first? Is it possible that if the story of Kyles having a gun is true did he enter the door see Davis with a gun turn to leave and was shot in the back of the neck and when he fell Davis shot him in the chest?

This story will take several days due to the number of reports and statements including the 9 year old son's statement that will totally contradict everything that Davis has to say including the fact that the shooting took place in the hallway and not in the bedroom.

Also tomorrow I will show where Justin davis had an intent to kill Kyles based on the report of Sgt Chris Harris where it says in his report: " When Justin arrives in front of the residence he states that he observes a Memphis Police Car in the drive way. Justin then gets out of the vehicle and puts the loaded Ruger 45 caliber in his waist band and approaches the front door where Teresita is standing in the front door."

On Sunday June 3,2007 after he killed Policeman Jeremy Kyles, Justin Davis the other boyfriend of police officer Teresita Watson made two separate statements to Shelby County Sheriff's department investigators Raymond Sides and Christopher Harris. One statement was given at 2:28PM and the other at 5:08PM

Does Sis. Lou Want The Saints To Pay Rent?

Sources within Temple of Deliverance,which was lead by Bishop G.E. Patterson until his death state that his widow, Louise Patterson wants the church to pay her rent. The source states that the church building located at 369 G.E.Patterson sits on property that is owned by her,and since she was not made c0-pastor of the church she wants rent or plans to take the church to court.

Bountiful Blessings Ministries was a separate business from Temple of Deliverance owned by G.E Patterson which controlled his Broadcast ministry, along with various holdings around the world. BBM made Patterson a very wealthy man with some within the church stating his worth at his death well over $100 million dollars, which makes Sister Lou a very rich woman.

BBM owns many properties in Shelby County including the property the church was built on, in fact BBM which is not controlled in any way by the Church Of God In Christ International owns all the property adjacent to the church,including the old church building.

The sources within the church state that Sis Lou is upset over the fact that she feels as though she should have been made Co-Pastor of the church that her husband started. But the by-laws of the church does not allow for female pastors and the only person that can set aside that rule is the Presiding Bishop,which in this case did not happen. Milton Hawkins the nephew of G.E. Patterson is now Pastor of Temple Of Deliverance.

With the death of the Bishop all the holdings of BBM become the property of Sis Lou,so does she have the right to ask for rent from the church that sits on her land, or should she take her millions and go somewhere and buy a island? C.O.G.I.C. is stated to have the title to the building as in most of their church buildings but the building they may own sits on her property. What should the saints do?

Coming Tonight: Did Female Police Officer Cover Up The Murder Of Her BoyFriend Cop By Other Boyfriend?

On June 3,2007 Memphis Policeman Jeremy Kyles was killed by Justin Davis,who was the other boyfriend of Memphis police officer Teresita Watson who was seeing both men. The Shelby County Sheriff's Department states that according to both Watson and Davis that Kyles kicked in the back door and was shot twice by Davis,once in the neck and once in the chest while a third shot gazed Watson in the stomach.

The Sheriff's department rule the shooting as a justified shooting based on being told that Kyles kicked the door in. I had problems in June believing this story,and now that I have a copy of the autopsy report and copies of pictures taken at the scene by the Sheriff's department,along with the official statements given by Watson and Davis,I defiantly don't believe that Watson didn't play a leading role in the death of her boyfriend who is also the father of at least two of her children.

Tonight I will questioned why Watson refused as a police officer to allow the Sheriff's department to search her home,and what may have happened in the 5-6 hours that it took to get a search warrant signed by then judge Fred Axley. I will also question why according to their own statements why Watson and Davis tell two different versions of what happened.

I also wish to know how if Kyles was killed on the inside of the house,blood got on the outside gate(I have Pics of the blood on the gate). It is also a concern as to why Watson told Davis to come to the house knowing that Kyle was there,and telling him that everything was okay with her and Kyle. According to the statement that Both Davis and Watson's 9 year old son,Shamus Bennett After Kyle was shoot Watson held him in her arms telling him to die,WHY ISN'T THERE BLOOD ON THAT WHITE ROBE?and remember she was shoot to.

The son also states in the statement that he gave that Jeremy was Watson's boyfriend,along with "That man" in reference to Davis. In fact when asked "do you know who Justin is?" the 9 year old replys "I think my momma other boyfriend".

There were reports of domestic abuse,but Lafrancine Bennett the grandmother of Teresita 's son and also a police officer states in her statement that she has no knowledge of abuse, only that she had been told by the grandchildren that there parents argue, but only verbally. the mother also states that Jeremy Kyles had never displayed jealous behavior as far as she knew.

Other points: How if Kyles kicked the door open did a trash bag remain on the door and the glass table behind the door was not damaged.

The statement of the 9 year old is that the shooting took place in the hall how did kyles body get in the bedroom door.

In Davis statement he states he was cornered in the room with no where to go while Watson was in the hall with Kyles,but there's a door that leads outside in the bedroom.

Davis states that he removed the gun from Kyles hand after he was shot, but Watson also states in her statement that it was her that removed the gun.

Is the reason that there is blood on the gate that leads to the street that either Davis or Watson went to Kyles trunk and got his off duty gun, which is the reason that Watson wouldn't let police enter her home because she needed time to set the stage?

The autopsy report states and shows that Kyle was shot in the neck from back to front, so how does kyle get shot from behind? And why would Kyles need to kick the door in when he had keys to the house?

Also if he kicked the door in (Pictured Door) why didn't the glass in the door break and wasn't wood found on the outside? There was a broken butter knife found at the gate where the blood is, is it possible that the butter knife was used to pry the door loose on the inside to make it appear as though the door was kicked in?

Has Nikki Been Around long Enough To Represent Or Does She Just Want To Tinker Around With The 9th Congressional District?

Nikkie Tinker registered to vote in Shelby County on May 13,2002 and according to the records of the Shelby County Election Commission has only voted 5 times. So what qualifies this newcomer to represent the citizens of the 9th Congressional District?

Tinker who is an attorney for Pinnacle Airlines and served as campaign manager for four years for Harold Ford Jr. has no history of service to this community,so why is she running for congress? Are we to think that the idea of running for congress was Tinker's idea,or is she the pawn of the airline industry that needs it's own puppet in the halls of congress?

Why if Tinker is concerned about service to this community didn't she run for another office first so that citizens could see her true concern and efforts? Whats her real reason for moving to Tennessee,and why is she receiving funding from republicans? She Tinker be elected without any history of service just because some want a black face in the seat? And should the citizens of the 9th Congressional District be the instruments of pleasure for the airline industry who owns Tinker?

  In a packed County Commission chamber African Americans celebrated day one of Kwanzaa. Kwanzaa celebrates 7 principals of the culture of Africans who now are Americans in this country. Day one celebrates UMOJA (UNITY) which is the goal of African Americans in this city and county.
  
  Thanks must be given to Chris Thomas for causing so much attention to the celebration. Without his evil plan to destroy that room more than likely would not have been as full. But there was a determination among the blacks present that the racist thought of Thomas would not prevail or deter the Kwanzaa Celebration.
  
  Dr. Raymond Winbush,Director of The Institute of Urban Research,at Morgan State University in Baltimore Maryland was the featured speaker,who spoke on racism. He even discussed one of the greatest lies of so called American History, that Columbus discovered America. He spoke of the fact just as blacks don't understand St. Patrick's day, whites don't understand the celebration of Kwanzaa.
  
  County Commissioner Speaker Pro-Tempore Deidre Malone and her husband Dr. Patrick Malone were presented as the 2007-2008 Kwanzaa King and Queen. County Commissioner Sidney Chism,and The Honorable Judge Rita Stotts were among those who gave greetings.
  
  Present is the crowd was State Representatives Joe Towns, Barbara Cooper, and G.A.Hardaway. Notable citizens present were 5 time World Kickboxing Champ and local business owner Anthony "Amp" Elmore, Dr. David and Yvonne Acey,Rev. Ezekial Bell a local Civil Rights legend. Also present was West Memphis Circuit Court Judge Victor L. Hill who will battle the Arkansas State Supreme Court on January 24,2008 to covene a Special Grand Jury in the death of 12 year old DeAunta Farrow.
  
  Special thanks must be given to County Commissioner Henri Brooks who put this celebration together,and did not give in when again racism raised it's ugly head in the person of Probate Court clerk Chris Thomas. But what Thomas who had no sound argument in Chancery Court before Chancellor Walter Evans as to why the observance should not take place other than the fact that he couldn't have his Christmas program didn't understand was that what he meant for bad,God meant for good.
  
  Thomas needs to also understand whatever his political ambitions are he just killed any black support he might had have. Any person who blatantly takes a stand against blacks and there right to observe that which makes them a race of people is a person who will receive the wrath of that people.

The Only Juice Issac Ford Has Comes Mixed With Gin

Sir Issac Ford,who was named after Issac Hays, and yes his first name is Sir, and is the little brother of Harold Ford Jr. has proven to be a drunk. Ford was arrested about 4AM Wednesday morning and charged with with DUI,disorderly conduct,and public intoxication.

Upon arriving at 201 Poplar is a drunken cussing rage he had to be placed in a holding cell as he continue to tell jailers that he was a Ford. Ford driving his 2005 Mercedes 500 failed all the drunk tests and registered a 0.115 on the breath alcohol test, when in Tennessee 0.08 is considered to drunk to drive.

One thing is for sure the Ford name has lost it's juice, there was a time that all Issac would have had to do was call daddy and Harold Sr. would have made sure the fact that his son is a drunk would have never been known. But it seems the only juice that Sir Issac has comes in a bottle mixed with gin.

Tinker Seemed Out Of Place At Kwanzaa Celebration

Nikki Tinker wants to be the congress person from the 9th Congressional District,but seemed to be out of place on Wednesday night at the Kwanzaa Celebration.

Tinker who spent the night at the rear of the County Commission chambers probably didn't want TV cameras to catch her among the common people. Will republican donor and her boss Phil Trenary question her as to why she was at the celebration, or will he tell her don't let this black thing go to far.

Tinker who has only been in Tennessee for 6 years and is attached to Harold Ford Jr. might as well get ready to battle for votes and prove that she who has republican support is not the house negro for white power brokers who only want to use her as their representative for the airline industry. And passing out baskets want be enough.

Memphis Police Need To Get Their Story Right Concerning Timothy Jones

On Wednesday December 20,2007 the CA reported and I'm sure such a fine outstanding newspaper got their information from the City of Memphis Police department, that Timothy Jones who police say was shot by officer Frank Hannah while chasing him as he fired shots at police ran out of the side door at 874 Claybrook.

The CA goes on to report that as officers were questioning Terry Bowen who the report says had 3 dime bags of marijuana in his car who is a resident of 874 that Jones at 10;00 at night ran from the house with a gun in his waist. First of all Bowen does not live at 874,but 872 Claybrook. Secondly Bowen states that he only had a blunt in his car,and since his release sheet shows that he was released on a $100 misdemeanor bond I believe him because 3 dimes bags would have gotten him a felony with a much higher bond.

But the biggest problem with the story is the fact that the door that police state according to the CA that Jones ran out of is nailed shut from the inside and has been for a period of time, Which I saw today after going in. Not only is just the wood door nailed shut but the iron door as well. The house which has no MLG&W or meter, is under repair and has a guy whose working on the house spending nights there.

Here's something else that's important when Bowen and his passenger were pulled from the car the officers that were first on the scene call for back up, which means that the corner of Claybrook and Henry where the house is located was full of police,and none of the officers there ran after anyone. Plus you ad the fact that at 10:00 at night it was impossible to see someone in the back yard with a weapon in his waist.

The police need to get there story together because this one is shot to hell. Timothy Jones did not run from 874 Claybrook and maybe no where else, plus while the police is putting there story together they can come up with how the police SUV ended up on Jones.

SIDE NOTE: Tomorrow I will reveal a series of text messages I received today from someone in the police department stating that Timothy Jones should be dead, even if it was in cold blood. How do I know it was from the police or someone high up in local law enforcement? They were able to text me from the centrex used by Shelby County and the City of Memphis. The centrex is the switching number that shows up from when you're calling from one of the local government numbers 545-3030, but what really made me know that the person was in law enforcement was the fact that the texter want me to ask my sources to use the VISION program to give me some info.

The VISION is a data program that police and the Sheriff's department and the AG's office uses to place reports that the public never sees. But VISION is also traceable to the person that uses it. I know that this is an attempt to find out who on the 12 floor is my choice. But to the person who sent the email the VISION can be tapped into from any computer and cannot be traced if the person goes to a public place like the library where many persons use the same computer. Guess how I know.

Chris Thomas Pull Your Head Out Your Ass

Many in the black community that know of probate Court Clerk Chris Thomas knows that he is a racist beyond compare, who uses blacks as pawns,as he did a female administrator last year when he ran for office claiming on flier sent to the black community that she was the highest ranking female in County Government appointed to her position. I prove by pulling her employment record that Thomas was a bald faced liar using this woman to get votes.

Now the Grand Wizard of local racism has pulled off his mask and is boldly showing his bitterness and hatred by knowingly claiming that Kwanza is a religion,and that it should not be observed in the Shelby Community Commission Chambers. Kwanza which is observed from December 26-January 1,2008 is about the heritage and culture of Black people, the same people who pay county taxes and have the right to use the building for non religious purposes.

Thomas took it upon himself to file a lawsuit in Chancery Court has just sealed his fate if the rumor that he has plans to run for County Mayor happens to be true. Any one with common sense,which may exclude Thomas knows that the celebration of Kwanza has no religious theme at all. But maybe to secure a base vote from whites this common day hangman thinks that he can put a noose around blacks and kick the chair out from under this observance of a heritage of a people that he would choose to oppress.

The hearing is to take place Wednesday morning in Chancery Court, It's not know now whether Arnold Goldin, Walter Evans, or Kenny Armstrong will get the case. But I'm sure the two black Chancellors will not betray a culture of their own when it's real clear as to what Kwanza is all about,and I'm sure Goldin who is white does not want the case. Here We Go Again, Doubt Over The Shooting Of a Black Male By A White Policeman

On Thursday night December 13,2007 as always if home I was watching the news when I saw the story about a young black male killed in a shoot out with police after running from a drug sting in North Memphis. I remember looking at the TV and thinking why is that man laying under that truck. It was never stated who the truck belonged to or why it was a part of the story.

I didn't think much more about it until last week when Norman Redwing a community activist who about 10 years ago was a eyewitness to Memphis police killing a man by the name of Carl Perkins called me on air telling me that he thought there was something wrong with the killing of 18 year old Timothy Jones who he knew and had worked with in North Memphis. And after receiving several more calls and e-mails I decided to look into what was not being told by the police.

On Friday morning I begin reading up on the events of January 13th and making calls to several of my sources within the police department. I was told that the 12th floor was concerned as to the shooting being ruled justified so soon,and that there was a hush hush going on about the shooting. I was also told that Frank Hannah the shooter was white and that his record was not the best and that there was a concern that this shooting didn't turn into a "DeAunta Farrow Case",which really made me begin to wonder about the case.

I made contact with the mother of Jones, Tecora Porter who according to reading statements from the CA"s site called her a crackhead who had raised a thug for a son. I drove to South Memphis and found Ms. porter to live in a modest well kept home,and as you can see from her picture at the top she is not a crack head but a lovely woman working to raise a family.

While speaking with Porter she showed me an article in the CA written by Chris Conley that really made me believe that all was not well with this matter. The report that had been heard on the news was that Jones was running from the police and as he ran he turned and fired at the police, which is what the article dated December 2oth also said. But in the very next paragrah states "He fired his weapon when he saw Jones at the window of a squad car pointing his gun at the officer inside" .

So my question became how could he be doing both, how could the paper state that he was shot running from the police and that Hannah shot him at a squad car. This will become more puzzling later in this story. I contacted witnesses on the phone and asked them to meet me at the scene of the shooting, they agreed.

Upon arriving at Randle and Vollentine I was greeted by several witnesses including the person that reports state was the person detained by police for having "3 dime bags of marijuana" Terry Bowen, which I know for a fact he did not have.

All the witnesses who live close to the location state that they heard 4 shots, including the 75 year old resident of the yard and porch where Timothy Jones died. But the report of witnesses are much different than that of the police and the news paper.

Terry Bowen states that on the night in question just prior to not being stopped but harassed by police he had just dropped Timothy Jones off at his girlfriends home in the Saint Courts apartments,at Watkins and Vollentine. If you look at the pic that shows the duplex you will see a apartment complex on the other side of the fence at the address where Jones died. Jones girlfriend lives on the other side of the fence.

Bowen states that he was not stopped, because he was parked on Claybrook. Bowen also states that police in a white Ford Explorer and a green Intrepid had been driving the area placing the spotlight on persons in the area. Bowen states that he was parked talking to a friend out of his car that pulled up in the middle of Claybrook. The Explorer and the Intrepid came up the street turned the lights on the two cars and got out and ordered him out of the car.

According to Bowen he asked the officers why they wanted him out of his car and what had he done since he was parked correctly on the street. He states that he was told that he "appeared to be selling drugs". The police officers did not see any drugs pass hands but because they saw black men talking they were profiled as drug dealers.

When Bowen refused to get out of his car the officer on the drivers side pulled Bowen's passenger out the car,at which time Bowen got out of his car. The police search his car and find only a BLUNT in his car not "3 dime bags" I stated earlier that I know this to be a fact because I have a copy of his release papers that show a simple possession charge (As in having only a blunt) and registration charges. his release papers where he was released from Jail on December 14th show that he was released on a misdemeanor bond of $100. If Bowen had had "3 dime bags" the charge would have been a felony and he surely wouldn't have gotten out of jail for a $100. Plus as of this moment the December 13 th charge does not show in the General Sessions Court site, now this is strange.


Bowen states that a white officer was driving the Explorer and a black and white officer were in the Intrepid,and while he was sitting in the back seat shots rang out from Alma street and he and the police ducked. Alma Street is the next street west of Claybrook.

Bowen states that the report of Timothy Jones running out of a house on Claybrook is a lie made up by police because he had dropped Jones off and from the time that police rode down on him and the time that he had dropped Jones off it was impossible for Jones to be on Claybrook.

Timothy Jones has been described as a violent thug with a long criminal record,this is totally untrue. According to the General Sessions Court site Jones was arrested earlier this year for simple possession of a blunt and released on a misdemeanor bond of $250. Also earlier this year he was charged with assault on a police officer after he was beaten by them and sent to the Med after police were called to his aunt's home after someone called from the house stating that someone was shooting at the house, the police were told that shots were returned from the house that had several people in it.

When police arrived they found several men including Jones hiding from police,Jones and police got into a scuffle and Jones was beaten and taken to the Med. Pictures of Jones and his bruises do exist which I have seen. When the matter went to court all charges were dropped,I wonder why?

But back to the shooting Jones had a warrant on him for missing court on his misdemeanor charge, so there is no way you can make me believe that a man that knows he has a warrant is going to run pass the police with a gun when the police is not looking for him. You must remember that the police actions with Bowen was all taking place outside not inside of a house, so what reason would Jones have to run from the house? And why would you run from inside the house with a gun tucked in your pants but with no shirt on exposing a weapon? Remember Bowen who is outside the house states that he had drooped Jones off and that he was not inside the house or on Claybrook street. By the way before you say that the bruises on his feet come from running his girlfriend states that he had on his Air Force One's at the death scene.

Now lets look at what the police state happened, they state that after 10 that night Organized Crime Unit officers saw what appeared to be a drug transaction in front of 874 Claybrook. They stopped and detained Terry Bowen who they state live at the address, but actually he lives at 872. A man fixing up 874 lives there using a cord from Bowen's address for electricity. police went in the house and found no drugs, I guess they forgot to report the information,that the occupant allowed them in.

Bowen states that the police were looking for who fired the shots coming from Alma and never saw anyone run from the house on Claybrook. But the police state that Jones run out a side door with a pistol tucked in his waist. It's 10:00 at night and the police are in front of the house with Bowen,so how it it possible to see Jones come out a side door? And what really makes it hard to believe is the fact that the side door was boarded up from the inside and still remains that way, Hmmmm.

The TV news reports that night claim that Police were questioning a group of men when Jones took off running, so which story are we supposed to believe? Police say that Jones who ran out of a side door that he could not have gotten out of was running through backyards and between houses to Vollentine and Randle shooting at them, they state that when he got to a church parking lot(Which is Friendship Baptist Church) he fired several more shots.

Instead of continuing to run police want us to believe that Jones stopped to confront a police officer driving through the church lot by placing a gun in the squad car window. If Jones is running and the squad car is chasing him through the church lot that would mean that the officer has Jones in his sites, so how does Jones get the chance to stop running and place a gun inside the window of the squad car?

For Jones to be pointing the gun at the officer through the squad car window,that means that the chase has stopped and both the squad car and Jones are standing still.so how does Jones die across the street 50 feet or more from the church parking lot? Are we to think that Jones was shot on the parking lot and allowed to go another 50 feet?

Witnesses state that when they arrived at the scene after hearing a loud crash and 4 shots Jones body was laid under the Explorer belonging to the police. How did the SUV get into the yard of 1374 Vollentine at least 20 feet from the street? What was the need for the SUV to jump the curb if Jones is already shot?

If police have Jones in there sites, they should have seen where he dropped his alleged weapon, instead of searching all around the resident of 1374 Vollentine looking for a weapon as the 75 year old resident states that police were doing immediately after the shooting. The resident also states that police would not let her out of her house but she saw Jones laying under the SUV without a shirt.and looking through her kitchen window she could see police searching for a gun.

This case may have already been ruled justified, but there are to many holes in the events that took place, and a grand jury should hear the statements of Bowen and other witnesses. this case is not as clean as police want this community to think it is,and perhaps we see another case of Police covering up for a fellow member of the blue.

Remember the side door that police say he ran out of was boarded up from the inside which makes it impossible for the police story to be true

Did Memphis Police Run Over Timothy Jones Part 1

Tecora Porter the mother of Timothy Jones entered the morgue at N.J. Ford and Sons Funeral Home and took the posted pictures of her son and released them to me. As you can see the body is badly bruised in the neck and back area,along with the legs and feet. Jones also has bruises on his side, all inconsistent with just being shot and falling to the ground.

A source within the Memphis Police department agrees with me that Timothy Jones was ran over by the SUV driven by police that his body was found under. The mother alone with her boyfriend who accompanied her to Ford's funeral home state that there are at least 3-4 bullet wounds to the body, so my question is, if witnesses only heard 4 shots and 3-4 shots hit Jones when did he fire a weapon, and if he was shot and fell dead why was he ran over and why did the police have to search for a gun?

Witnesses at the scene and the first TV news picture showed Jones under the SUV how could he be under the SUV unless he was ran over?

500 FREEDOM RIDERS PREPARE TO HEAD TO LITTLE ROCK

The National Action Network Memphis and West Memphis chapters have allotted 10 buses to carry 500 people to Little Rock on Thursday January 24,2008 to support Judge Victor L. Hill as he goes before the Arkansas State Supreme Court. Hill in accordance with Arkansas has called for a Special Grand Jury to be convened in the killing of 12 year old DeAunta Farrow,and because state prosecutors know that their is evidence in their 800 page report has holes in it, that are against a grand jury being convened.

I will broadcast my radio show live from Little Rock on January 24th as hundreds maybe even thousands convene on Little Rock so that Justice can be rendered. For the Arkansas Supreme Court to deny Judge Hill the right that he has under the laws of the state would not look good for the court.

Harold Ford Jr. & Nikki Tinker Try To Secure Black Votes By Passing Out Baskets At Funeral Home

Nikki Tinker who wants to be in congress by any means possible join George Bush's greatest democratic fan Harold Ford Jr. on Saturday at N.J.Ford and Sons Funeral Home to pass out Christmas baskets. The event which was only promoted on WDIA radio was a signal to the black community that Ford is endorsing Tinker for Congress against the present Congressman,Steve Cohen.

Ford whose greatest accomplishment in 10 years in congress was to give out baskets,seems to want a republican dressed in democratic clothing in the seat presently held by a congressman that has done more in a year than Ford Jr. did in his 10 years. The idea of the basket give away with Tinker present was to make those receiving the baskets think that Tinker played a role in feeding them for a day.

Tinker who is heavily financed by republican money and airlines is the pawn that the airlines need to have their person in congress to pass favorable laws for the industry.

Tinker will need more than just Ford to win,she'll need votes and a plan that can out due the service that is presently being rendered by Steve Cohen. Tinker is not the best candidate for the 9th Congressional district, this former aid to Ford has no history of service and has only lived in the district 6-7 years. I will be spending the next year blowing the horn for Cohen on both this site and on my radio show, because Cohen has done more for a district that is heavily populated with blacks then Ford ever did,and what Tinker hopes to do.

Maybe another reason she was at the funeral home was to line up votes

Coming Sunday Morning: West Memphis Is Not Alone In How Black Males Are Gunned Down

Timothy Jones was killed by a white City of Memphis Police officer, On Friday I visited with the mother, went to the scene,and interviewed witnesses, including the 75 year old woman whose yard he died in. My conclusion is that some very similar acts took place in this shooting as in the shooting of DeAunta Farrow in West Memphis, only difference Timothy Jones was ran over by a white Ford Explorer driven by the police.

And the person that the CA reported had 3 dime bags of weed only had a blunt, and was charged with a misdemeanor charge of simple possession. How do I know? I have his bond sheet where he was released on a $100 misdemeanor bond. Sunday Morning I'll tell the real story of what happen to Timothy Jones.

When I reveal what I was told and what I saw you will think that White police officers in Memphis and in West Memphis must be attending the same classes on how to kill and cover it up.

Coming Sunday: What Law Did Lee Break?

This Sunday I will discuss the weakness of the federal case against former MLG&W president Joseph Lee. In the separation of his case from Edmund Ford Sr, what does the Fed's have? What crime can they prove he committed? What statue says that a customer of MLG&W can't receive an extension on a bill? Didn't Edmund Ford have a right as a customer to be treated like any other customer?

Will the Fed's file charges against major corporations in Memphis, including city hall and many properties belonging to Memphis Housing Authority who had hundreds of thousands of dollars in unpaid utility bills, but continue to maintain their services?

Will the Fed's bring in Herman Morris and make him explain his VIP list and how he didn't want to upset the editor of the CA who he allowed to pay a back bill over a 10 year period? Will the Fed's indict every council member that voted for Lee, are we to think that they or their businesses never got an extension? I predict that all charges will be dropped or that the government will lose to a jury.

NO JUSTICE,NO PEACE

In this week's meeting of the West Memphis City Council, black members walked out preventing a Quorum thus preventing a meeting of the council. These members are proudly intend to fight for justice for DeAunta Farrow if it means shutting city government down. The city's fiscal year starts on January 1,2008 but he budget for the new year has not been approved by the council.

Sources in West Memphis state that the council will not have a quorum until Chief Bob Paudert resigns or is fired by mayor William Johnson. This move is to let Paudert and Johnson know that there will be no peace until there is justice. And that the council has the power to shut the city down.

The move by Paudert to bring Erik Sammis back and then have him resign was to show black council members that they would not have the say so on how Sammis was removed from the streets of West Memphis, but what Paudert failed to understand was that it didn't matter how Sammis was removed as long as he was.

There is no need for Johnson or Paudert to think that since Sammis is gone that the fight for justice is over or will quieten down. THERE WILL BE NO PEACE WITHOUT JUSTICE. when the statement "NO JUSTICE,NO PEACE" is made does not at all mean criminal unrest or rioting,but means that there will be a continious resounding call for justice in the murder of DeAunta Farrow at the hands of Erik Sammis.

The 800 page report submitted by state prosecutors is full of holes,and all the evidence and witnesses need to be presented to a special grand jury. The question must be asked if the prosecutors are so sure of the innocence of sammis why are they fighting so hard to keep a grand jury from convening. They also know that according to the laws of the state of Arkansas that Judge Victor Hill is within his rights to convene the special grand jury,and for the State Supreme Court to deny the order of Judge Hill is to defy the laws of the state.

For those who think that my intent and the intent of many others is to get Erik Sammis indicted, you are correct. Those of us who have read the 800 page report want to know how according to the report Farrow was able to keeping raising the gun towards Sammis when Sammis states that after firing three time, the second shot hit the child in the chest,but he kept raising the gun so he fired again striking Farrow in the back of the leg. Are we to believe that this 5"3 120 pound child was able to keep raising a gun after being hit in the chest with a 40 caliber bullet?

We also want to know how is it that there were no fingerprints on the alleged toy gun when the report says that Farrow was walking holding the gun down gripping it tightly. we also want to know why there were bite marks on the gun, are they human bite marks or dog marks, like the ones that Sammis trains. Are police dogs trained to grab the weapon from a suspect?

We also want to know why the commander of the TACT unit states that in the Steeple Chase apartments he could not see the Flash Market that he had under surveillance, and that he had no binoculars or night vision equipment. how can you have a business under surveillance and not be in a position to see?

We also want to know why Arkansas state Police in their reinactment of June 22,2007 state that they could not see a gun plainly from the distance that Sammis states that he saw DeAunta carrying a gun. Those same state investigators state when the officer protraying Sammis jumped out and turn his gun with a flashlight on top on the officer protraying Farrow, the officer protraying Farrowmstates in the report that he could not see who was behind the light. So is it possible that Farrow didn't know who had jumped out on him with a gun?

We also want to know according to the report why Felicia Smith a clerk at Flash market had told fellow employees that she saw farrow and his cousin in the store just moments before he was killed but later changed her story and why the survelliance tape in the store had been taped over.

We also think that a grand jury needs to hear from the several people who state they saw DeAunta with a Coke and Chips including the woman's apartment that was firebombed. We need to hear also from the West Memphis city employee who states that he saw the police move Farrow's body.

There's much more holes in the prosecutor's report but I think you get the message. The death of DeAunta Farrow at the hands of Sammis is nothing short of murder,and a murder that is being covered up by Arkansas law enforcement. Just the information that I have presented in this story which all comes from the state report leads room to doubt that this case has been handled correctly. So Paudert and Johnson need to know that "THERE WILL BE NO PEACE UNTIL THERE IS JUSTICE".

SIDENOTE: While state police reports show that they have 2 shell casings from the shooting. Erik Sammis states in the report he fired 3 times, where is the other casing. Plus it has been reported that Jimmy Evans the officer with Sammis never fired a round, but on page 9 of the report in the bottom part of the first paragraph it states " Sammis stated that he felt that his life and Jimmy's life was being threatened with deadly force.Evans stated that he turned his attention to Farrow and observed Farrow raising his gun. Evans stated that he then began aiming at Farrow and squeezing his trigger when Sammis fired twice". But in this same paragrah Evans states that Sammis had already fired twice when he turned his attention on Farrow. DeAunte must have bee a hell of a strong kid to keep raising his gun after being shot so many times and still standing.

Erik Sammis Bows To Pressure And Resigns, All I can say is GOOD RIDDANCE

Erik Sammis the killer of 12 year old DeAunta farrow finally caved in to the pressure being placed upon him for shooting down a child resigned on Wednesday from the West Memphis police Department. The one day return to work by Sammis and the announcement by Police Chief Bob Paudert was a smoke screen by Paudert to be able to state that the critics of his department and Sammis,, didn't force him out.

Paudert would have people belive that Sammis returned for oneday to train someone to be able to take command of the TACT UNIT. If thats all it takes to train an officer to command a TACT Unit ,we can look for more killings in West Memphis by police officers.

Sammis stated in his letter of resignation that he was leaving the department for the financial benefit of his family and due to the healing in which the community needs following the Farrow shooting. I agree that leaving for financial benefit was a smart idea, because he will forever be marked as the killer of a 12 year old

Sammis did not state what his future plans are or what job offers he has., but anything that takes him off the streets of West Memphis with a gun is great. Sammis attacks black city council members as un rational because of their belief that he murdered Farrow, he states that he hopes that there is a move to replace council members Lorraine Robinson, Marco McClendon from the counil. he also mentions Javier Bailey, and Grag Grant as those who have deserved the racil harmony of the city

Even though Sammis has resigned his problems are not over, because hopefully after the State Supreme Court meets on Jan 24, 2008 a Special Grand Jury will convene and an indictment is brought forth that indicts Sammis for the murder of 12 year old DeAunta Farrow. Sammis needs to know that there are those in the black community who will continue the quest for justice for Farrow based on evidence and holes in the report as submitted by the state.

There are plans to take at least 500-1000 persons to Little Rock to show support for the action judge Victor Hill made when he ordered a Special Grand jury to convene. You will find out more info about this on this website and on my radio show

Chief Paudert stated that with the resignation of Sammis the West Memphis Police Department has taken a major hit because Sammis was known for his ability to really de-escalate any situation. But if thats the case why is DeAunta Farrow dead.

Why do Christians find the need to lie to their children about this guy named Clause?

For the customs of the people are vain for one cutteth a tree out of the forest,the work of the hands of the workman with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold,they fasten it with nails and with hammers that it move not".

Is there a Santa Claus?


1. No known species of reindeer can fly. BUT there are 300,000 species of living organisms yet to be classified, and while most of these are insects and germs, this does not COMPLETELY rule out flying reindeer which only Santa has ever seen.

2. There are 2 billion children (persons under 18) in the world. BUT since Santa doesn't (appear) to handle the Muslim, Hindu, Jewish and Buddhist children, that reduces the workload to 15% of the total - 378 million according to Population Reference Bureau. At an average (census) rate of 3.5 children per household, that's 91.8 million homes. One presumes there's at least one good child in each.

3. Santa has 31 hours of Christmas to work with, thanks to the different time zones and the rotation of the earth, assuming he travels east to west (which seems logical). This works out to 822.6 visits per second. This is to say that for each Christian household with good children, Santa has 1/1000th of a second to park, hop out of the sleigh, jump down the chimney, fill the stockings, distribute the remaining presents under the tree, eat whatever snacks have been left, get back up the chimney, get back into the sleigh and move on to the next house.

Assuming that each of these 91.8 million stops are evenly distributed around the earth (which, of course,we know to be false but for the purposes of our calculations we will accept),we are now talking about .78 miles per household, a total trip of 75-1/2 million miles, not counting stops to do what most of us must do at least once every 31 hours, plus feeding and etc. This means that Santa's sleigh is moving at 650 miles per second, 3,000 times the speed of sound. For purposes of comparison, the fastest man-made vehicle from Earth, the Ulysses space probe, moves at a poky 27.4 miles per second - a conventional reindeer can run, tops, 15 miles per hour.

4. The payload on the sleigh adds another interesting element. Assuming that each child gets nothing more than a medium-sized lego set (2 pounds), the sleigh is carrying 321,300 tons, not counting Santa, who is invariably described as overweight. On land, conventional reindeer can pull no more than 300 pounds. Even granting that "flying reindeer" (see point #1) could pull TEN TIMES the normal anoint, we cannot do the job with eight, or even nine. We need 214,200 reindeer.

This increases the payload - not even counting the weight of the sleigh - to 353,430 tons. Again, for comparison - this is four times the weight of the Queen Elizabeth. 5.353,000 tons traveling at 650 miles per second creates enormous air resistance - this will heat the reindeer up in the same fashion as spacecrafts re-entering the earth's atmosphere. The lead pair of reindeer will absorb 14.3 QUINTILLION joules of energy. Per second. Each.

In short,they will burst into flame almost instantaneously, exposing the reindeer behind them, and create deafening sonic booms in their wake. The entire reindeer team will be vaporized within 4.26 thousandths of a second. Santa, meanwhile, will be subjected to centrifugal forces 17,500.06 times greater than gravity. A 250-pound Santa (which seems ludicrously slim) would be pinned to the back of his sleigh by 4,315,015 pounds of force.

In conclusion, if Santa ever DID deliver presents on Christmas Eve, he's Dead now.

Sammis May Be Back On The Job But It's Only Temporary

Erik Sammis the killer of 12 year old DeAunta Farrow is back on the job in West Memphis,but behind a desk. Sources out of West Memphis report that Sammis is back on the job to train his replacement as the Commander of the TACT UNIT. It's stated that Sammis is considering taking a job out of law enforcement.

Some think that the only reason that Sammis even returned was to not give satisfaction to those of us that stated he should not be allowed to return to the West Memphis Police Department.

But Sammis's troubles are not over yet,on January 24,2008 the Arkansas State Supreme Court will covene to decide whether or not a Special Grand Jury can be called,and whether new prosecutors can be used if a special grand jury does convene. The law in Arkansas gives Judge Victor L.Hill the right to order a grand jury,so the Court will be fighting it's own statue.

It is felt by myself and others that if a grand jury is convened and ALL the evidence is presented along with showing the holes in the 800 page report submitted by state prosecutors that Erik Sammis will be indicted.

The local chapter of the National Action Network will attempt to carry 500 persons to Little Rock on January 24th to march on the Supreme Court and to show a sign of Blacks wanting justice in this matter. Pastors and those owning buses will be asked to use their buses to carry the hopefully massive number of people to Little Rock.

Good Bye Guys, It Wasn't Personal Just Politics

Over the years I have attended many City Council meetings where afterwards I always had fuel to burn a negative fire against many of the members. I have written about most of the members and discussed them on air concerning how many of them should not be on the council and was not serving the public need. While I feel that most of what I've said about these poli-trick-ans,I have to admit today I will miss some of them who are leaving the council.

Out of all I've had to say about Tom Marshall and Jack Sammons they always took my remarks as politics and not a personal dislike, And to them I say I will miss you guys you always gave me a topic of discussion. Brent Thompson and I discussed today how now he will return my calls when I call his home,and I must admit that E.C. Jones has been a great source of information over the years even when I couldn't get answers from black council members.

I never really got the chance to know Marilyn Cooper and my only memory of her will be the pic I posted of her sleeping on the job the first day. Secret Service agent Henry Hooper who attached himself to some political low life's in his re-election bid earned my respect after the election when he spoke up for the salvation of the Lorraine motel. As for Ed Ford Sr, I really will not get a chance to miss him because I"ll see my friend him often at the funeral home,and with Ed Ford Jr. on the council there will be memories of daddy Ford. As for Carol Chumney I'm sure we'll see her again soon in local politics

So to the leaving members congrats and Godspeed,and to the remaining and new members I'm sure your name will appear here and I'll get a chance to jump on you on air, that's just the way of Memphis politics so get use to it.

Christians used the date of December 25th to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. But many Christians also celebrate the occasion by telling their children about a fat man in a red suit that flies all over the planet in a matter of hours in a tiny sleigh that can hold all the toys for every child in the world pulled by flying reindeer's.

So why do men and women of faith tell this lie to their children? Why not just celebrate the birth of Christ without the use of a pagan god? Some will say so the children can have pleasure,so is it a pleasure to tell your child a lie?

Ricky Peete Will Join Michael Hooks Jr. In Prison

Former City Councilman Rickey Peete who pleaded guilty to accepting a $12,000 bribe,will join fellow poli-trick-an Michael Hooks in Montgomery Ala. at the federal prison at Maxwell Air force Base. Peete who was sentence to 51 months starts his term on January 3,2008.

As for Michael Hooks Jr. He's probably not finish giving info to the Feds concerning the going on's at Memphis City Schools.

It's Not Over In The DeAunta Farrow Case

The fat lady has not song in the case of the killing of 12 year old DeAunta Farrow.Arkansas Circuit Court Judge Victor L.Hill several weeks ago ordered a Special Grand Jury to be convened to hear and see evidence in the matter of Erik Sammis gunning down the child in the SteepleChase apartments in West Memphis.

After the order was given by Judge Hill,state prosecutors filed a writ of prohibition to keep the jury from convening.But the matter is not over on Jan 24,2008 a hearing will take place in Little Rock before the State Supreme Court. Judge Hill by Arkansas own laws is permitted to take the stand that he took and to overturn his decision would be overturning a state statue.

If the state Supreme Court allows the Special Grand Jury to convene and all the evidence that both the state and the legal team that's in place for the Farrow family comes forth you could very easily see an indictment come down against Erik Sammis

Was Charges Brought Against Marcus Mosby Because Sarah Gibbons May Be A Relative Of Bill Gibbons?

When the two counts of sexual battery and the two counts of official oppression were presented before Judge John Colton in Division 3 against TACT officer Marcus Mosby he wondered why the Attorney General's office headed by Bill Gibbons had brought charges against Mosby.

The judge stated that there was no evidence to back up the claim of Sarah Gibbons the prostitute who had flagged down Mosby in his TACT van not knowing that she was flagging down the police of any sexual assault. Her witness who at the time of the incident about to be her latest trick of the evening was found not to be credible due to his long record and the changing of his story.

Prior to the case going to court Sarah Gibbons had stated that she had made the story up and had to hunted down to appear in court. Judge Colton was also amazed at how the Memphis Police Department had "spotlighted" Mosby in a lineup by placing him in the lineup in his uniform with his name plate and badge on, while the other men were all in plain clothes. The judge knew that with Mosby being a police officer and Sarah Gibbons and her witness wanting to pick him out in a lineup that placing him in a lineup in uniform was easy picking for the two.

The judge did not allow the case to even go to the jury but dismissed all the charges from the bench and cleared the record of Mosby. The judge knew that Mosby had been indicted wrongfully and rendered the only decision that could be rendered in such an incident.

But why did Bill Gibbons insist on this case with no evidence going to court, could it be that the prostitute who shares his last name may just be a relative? there were two prosecutors from his office working on the case,and I'm sure that he was surprised that Colton took the position that he did in not allowing a jury to render a decision.

So I must ask what was the motivation behind sending a case to court with no evidence unless Bill Gibbons wanted to protect the honor of Sarah Gibbons who just may be a long lost relative. It's one of those things that make you go hmmmmm, and if Bill Gibbons is related to Sarah is that misuse of his office? All Larry Godwin had to do was the right thing and none of this would be an issue

.While I don't know (YET) if Bill Gibbons and Sarah Gibbons are related it does place a new spin on the issue of why charges were brought forth doesn't it?

Where's The Gold Going At "Golden Gate"?

Well, it's Sunday so here's some Sunday news from a former member of Golden Gate in North Memphis. This church is pastored by Edward Stephens a owner of a million dollar home here in memphis and one of the ministers that was able to cower WLMT down from a story they had reported on "Pimping in the Pulpit".

The station bowed to the pressure of this minister and others reported in the story including Frank E. Ray and Bill Adkins who threatened the station with boycotts of their advertisters,and the threat of pulling their church programs from the station.

Here's the comment from the former member:

I've never had the opportunity to voice my opinion on this site; however, after having received an e-mail about this "alleged" scandal, I feel that my voice must be heard. The television network was merely doing A GREAT job by revealing information that we should all already know. So often we suspect but never do a single thing about getting down to the actual truth.

There are so many pastors whose only jobs are to "pastor" one particular flock. They have no other visible means of support. Now, doesn't that appear shady? How can he afford a million dollar home when the only salary he draws is from a relatively small church. That is what I asked myself at my last church before I left.At this particular church in Memphis where I was previously a member ( I was a "leader" as a matter of fact), the pastor does nothing. He has a chief financial officer who makes all decisions, basically. All the pastor has to do is preach. (There have been times when I have noticed how his sermons "mimicked" Dollar, Long, Olsteen and Meyer -- televangelists.

There was one situation where he definitely plagiarized a sermon.) He has a secret Board of Trustees. The church body as a whole does not know the identities of these people. However, they make the financial decisions for the body, including the Pastor's salary (which is also a secret.) He has a million dollar home which he never told the church body that he'd purchased. Usually people are happy about a new home, so that struck me as odd.

He usually has a annual Christmas party at his home where he invites the leaders of the church. He hasn't had one since owning this new home. People have suspected both the cfo and he of mishandling the church's funds but no one will say anything because he has people excommunicated if they ask questions. The ministries of the church operate on the money of their own members, almost never receiving any financial benefits from the church. Even the children's ministry has to take offerings from people outside of the church's membership because the administrative office is so tight in doling out any cash even to its own ministries.

But this is not the worst part of the whole story, the church only gave 3% IN BENEVOLENCES FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR OF 2004! (They gave us this information in a pie chart.) That's pathetic. I know that the church raises about $50,000 every Sunday. That's 2.6 million dollars a year. Of that only 3% was given to the poor, the needy (so many MEMBERS were turned down for help on their electric bills), the elderly, the widows of the church, etc. You'd think that the church would give at least 10% back to the kingdom. Where is the money going? Certainly not to a building fund.

They bought a property some years ago. So many plans have been made and no church has been built yet. And get this. The entire office staff was fired by this cfo after some "firm" was hired to cut excess in the church. But the word from "the powers that be" is that there have been no financial difficulties in the church. There has NEVER been a disclosure of the churches finances, eventhough people have asked how the tithes and offerings are spent. It is all a secret. This is not right! When I asked these questions before I left, I was put off time after time until, finally, I was shunned.

Isn't it the law that the church must render full disclosure of the churches finances upon a member's asking? Isn't that what that court case involving the Mississippi Boulevard church taught us when their preacher was threatened with jail for not revealing finances to their membership? I wanted to take my old church to court, however I have many close friends who still attend. I have fully discussed these issues with them. They agree with my views but still attend. Some don't tithe but do give offerings and love gifts. "Benchwarmers" they call themselves. Others are officers and leaders of the church and therefore tithe.

I feel so sorry for them. I don't know how they can continue to give. But they will have to give answer to the Lord one day.I really don't understand how the membership can continue to give their tithes and offerings to the tune of $50,000 a week to a preacher who owns a million dollar home, a new mercedes almost every year and has done nothing but borrow sermons from other preachers and collect their tithes and offerings since his self-confessed last job which was 20 + years ago at the airport making close to minimum wage!If this all sounds horrific to you, then you should recognize the importance of the WPTY/WLMT news story about these pimping preachers because all of this occurred at one of the churches which was highlighted in that story - - GOLDEN GATE.Although every church is not like that, I know that one is.

Mr. Mayor It's Time To Return The Favor

Just a few months ago I stood in a room full of Black Police officers,all members of the Afro American Police Association. These men and women where all there for one purpose and that was to endorse Willie Herenton in his bid to make history as becoming the first mayor in the history of this city to be elected to a fifth term.

There were speeches from men and woman who stated that they supported and believed in a man who had stated that he was a strong black man who knew what racism was all about. The mayor stated that day of how white power brokers wanted him out just because he was black,and that no matter what he would never forget from whence he came. He asked for the support of the black officers and they gave it to him.

But many of those same men and women now state that they can't understand how he's allowing Police Director Larry Godwin lower the morale of the department and at the same time mistreat black officers who lay their lives on the line each and every day just like white officers do. They wonder if now that the election is over and the mayor has won has he turned his back on them.

The mayor owes this group of black officers his support, the memphis Police Association made up of a majority of white officers gave their support to Carol Chumney so the black officers have a right to ask him " Have you forgotten about us?".

Many black officers are concerned about the very unfair and harsh way that Marcus Mosby is being treated. Mosby was accused by a prostitute by the name of Sarah Gibbons and a john named Kenneth Brandon of sexual assault. Bill Gibbons found cause to bring charges against Mosby based on no evidence at all. Sarah Gibbons changed her story several times, she stated that she had been inside the TACT UNIT van that officer Mosby was driving, but no prints of hers could be found. She stated that the van had snakes printed on the outside,which was totally untrue.

The City of Memphis police department set up a lineup of six men so that she and Brandon could pick out the officer that they state sexually assaulted the "lady of the evening". In the line up Mosby was wearing his uniform with his badge and nameplate while the other 5 men were in plain clothing. Doesn't this appear to be a setup, who else would be selected if you're looking for a police officer.

When Mosby's case went to Criminal Court Div.3 Judge John Colton scolded the state prosecutors for bringing the case to court. The judge stated that the state had no evidence and that Mosby had been spotlighted in the lineup. also Sarah Gibbons recanted stating that she had made up the story against officer Mosby. Judge Colton didn't even give the case to the jury, he gave a direct dismissal of all charges from the bench.

During the 33 months of the plight of Mosby Godwin had directed the city to request the state that Mosby's certification to carry a firearm as a police officer be terminated,which the state did. The Civil Service Commission ordered Mosby back to work with his 33 months of back pay and all his benefits. City Attorney Gerald Thornton called Mosby and told him that Godwin had stated that he didn't want him back on the force and that as long as he was director he would never return to the field,and that he had been told by Godwin to appeal the Civil Service decision.

After losing the appeal the city entered into an agreement with Mosby to give him his job back. But Thornton being a stooge for Godwin joined in in the plan to defraud Mosby of all his back pay by telling him that if he didn't take just 15 months of the 33 months owed that the city would appeal again and this time the case could take up to four years. Mosby needing to provide for his family agreed to the 15 months of back pay. Thornton stated to Mosby that since the the city had worked so hard on the matter that he would throw him in a extra month, wasn't that might white of him?

Mosby was given back his uniform, his bullet proof vest, his gunbelt, his pepper spray, but no gun and badge. After losting his certification he needed Godwin to sign his certification paper work as director for Mosby to return to the streets of memphis. But Godwin has refused to sign and travelled to Nashville on Friday with a city attorney and members of his Internal Affairs unit to tell the panel that he didn't want Mosby back on the job. Godwin even stated to Mosby's attorney in his presence that the only way that he would sign the paper work was if a judge or arbitrator demanded that he do so.

Larry godwin has no legal reason not to sign the paper work. Mosby was falsly accused and has been cleared of all charges. So Godwin's refusal is just a low down act by a power hungry God complexed racist. Godwin in several cases involving white police officers who have been fired have not requested that their certification be terminated so why is he really refusing to sign off on Mosby?

But a judge is not needed to order Larry Godwin to do the right thing,Mayor Herenton has the power to order Godwin to sign the paper, in fact as the mayor of the city who appoints the police director Herenton most likely could sign the paper work himself.

The mayor knows about racism, he says he knows about whites in power,and for this reason herenton should do the right thing and order Godwin to put this officer back on the streets of Memphis and return him to his position as a TACT Unit officer. The mayor can not depend on Godwin to do the right thing,or the right thing would have already been done. Mr mayor if you remember the promises that you made when you ask the black officers to support you you will also remember that a debt is owed, so pay up return this officer to the streets and get rid of Godwin.

Is Larry Godwin A Racist Or Does He Have A God Complex

On Friday morning Marcus Mosby travelled to Nashville knowing that he had been set up by Police Director Larry Godwin to be fired because Godwin has refused to sign his certification papers with the state so that he could again carry a gun as a commission officer of the City of Memphis Police Department.

Mosby had already been told by city attorney Gerald Thornton that Godwin had stated that as long as he was director Mosby would never return to the field. So Mosby knew that the stage had been set for his firing by going to Nashville without the director's signature and that once he returned to Memphis he would be fired due to the fact that you can't serve as an officer without certification.

It's hard to understand what Godwin has against Mosby other than his being black. The officer was cleared of all charges against him, Judge John Colton even questioned why the case ever came to court seeing that there was no evidence against the former Tact unit officer. It must also be questioned as to why with a signed contract with the city stating that Mosby would return to the department as a patrolman Godwin is breaking that contract and could cost the city millions in a potential lawsuit.

Mosby was very surprised when he arrived for the hearing in Nashville that Larry Godwin was also present with a City Attorney and members of his Internal Affairs bureau. This hearing was for the sole purpose of Mosby receiving his certification not for a hearing on a dismissed case which could not be heard by this panel.

Godwin stood up in the meeting according to Mosby and stated that he did not want the cleared officer on the force. The city attorney and Godwin stated that had they known that Mosby had lost his certification the city would have have entered into a contract giving Mosby back his job. A member of the panel told them that there was no way that the city and Godwin didn't know that Mosby had lost his certification,seeing that it was the city through Godwin that made the request to the state to terminate Mosby's certification.

Godwin also stated that it was he as Deputy Director that fired Mosby, so how could he give him his job back. After the hearing in the presence of Mosby Godwin made the remark to Mosby's attorney " The only way that I sign the form is if a judge or arbitrator tells me I have to".

Is Larry Godwin a racist? why is it that Lt Mike McCord who is white was fired several months ago for falsifying a overtime payslip and was involved in a case of police brutality received his job back through Civil Service without his case being appealed as in the case of Mosby and no request was made by Godwin or the city to have his certification terminated?

Why is it that officer Phillip Penny was fired by former Director James Bolden for his role in the beating death of mental patient Denvey Buckley, but through Civil Service was given his job back,and Godwin who became director at the time that Penny was ordered back on the job didn't appeal or request that Penny's certification be terminated?

Larry Godwin has no reason not to sign the certification papers of Marcus Mosby other then his God complex and the hatred he has for black men as stated by black officers. The only reason he grinds and hangs around Willie Herenton is to keep his job.And how with the mayor stating that he is a strong black man can allow Godwin to treat another black man the way he's treating Mosby is beyond me.

City Council members take note,Larry Godwin is about to cost this city millions by willfully breaking a contract between Marcus Mosby and the City of Memphis that was signed by City Attorney Gerald Thornton.

Prayers Not Politics

State Senator Ophelia Ford is very ill in a local hospital here in Memphis and needs the prayers of not just those who live in District 29,but all those who believe in the power of prayer.

There have been various reports that Ford was at the point of death,and was under hospice care. This is totally untrue,while Ford is very ill no doctor has given her an allotted time to live,in fact her life is not in the hands of any doctor or any man. While members of her family are at her bedside no bedroom vigil has been called to wait for her death,but family members are present for support.

According to her brother Edmund Ford Sr. who had a milk shake with her just several days ago,Ophelia is alert but weak. Forget about your political feelings for her and members of her family and remember her in your prayers,

Godwin Again Abuses His Power

Police Director Larry Godwin in his continuous attempt to play God has again decided to try and willfully destroy the career of a police officer. In this case Godwin is refusing to sign the certification papers for a officer to carry his fire arm who he fired who has been cleared of any wrong doings, who the civil service commission has ordered reinstated,and who has a contract with the city to return to work as a patrolman.

The officer Marcus Mosby was cleared a year ago and has been doing desk duty at the South Precinct because Godwin has stated to City Attorney Gerald Thornton "That has long as I am director he will never see field work again". This comment was passed on to Mosby by Thornton. the question must be asked why does the director have it out for the officer who was given back his uniform, gun belt, pepper spray, bullet proof vest, but not his gun and badge but yet receives the pay of a patrolman while only being allowed to answer the phone instead of out fighting crime.

Marcus Mosby who was cleared of charges of sexual contact with a known prostitute has been with the City of Memphis Police Department since May 15,1995 working his way up to the TACT unit from a PST to a patrolman to take the rigorious training to become a member of the elite team of TACT officers.

On February 24,2004 Officer Mosby was driving down McLemore near Lauderdale in an unmarked TACT UNIT van when he was flagged down by a white female by the name of Sarah Gibbons who was thought to be a prostitute. Mosby pulls over and attempts to get in the van when Mosby tells her he's the police. Instead of arresting her the officer who is also a minister tells her that she should not be on the streets,she agrees and walks on.


Mosby makes the block and sees the young woman being picked up by a black male. Gibbons is still outside the car about to get in. Mosby turns on his blues and stops the car driven by Kenneth Brandon. Mosby ask Brandon if he knew Gibbons and the man states that he had just met the young white female. replies that he had just met her.
Mosby returns to his van and while sitting there Gibbons in the street tries to talk her.

Mosby tells the woman to get out of the street,at this point Gibbons goes around to the passenger side of the van,the window is broken so she opens the door which makes the interior lights come on,his inside curtain is open so he can see how to back out,But the lights being on allows the woman to see all the weapons inside the TACT van.

During this time the John Kenneth Brandon states that he becomes worried about the woman and dial 911. Brandon who has a arrest record several pages long tells the 911 operator that he fears for the woman who he says has been in the van for over an hour. But what he does not tell is that he knows officer Mosby's baby Mama and makes a call to her about being stopped by the officer. Mosby and the baby mama have a very bad relationship,and has been told by the woman that if she could she would make him lose his job.

To make a long story short the prostitute accuses Mosby of making sexual contact with her which is believed to be made up by Brandon for the purpose of pleasing the baby mama. I must state that even though Brandon states that Gibbons was in the van for over an hour according to the event chronology that I have a copy of, Brandon made the 911 call at 10:14 pm. Officers arrived at 10:29 and Mosby was not on the scene.

Gibbons stated that she had been inside the van,and that she had touched various items in the vechicle. the van was dusked for prints the very next morning and no prints belonging to Sarah Gibbons was found.

Larry Godwin who was Deputy Chief at the time fired Mosby six months after he was indicted by the grand jury on charges brought by a known prostitute and a known and convicted criminal.

When the case went to Criminal Court Gibbons had admitted that she had lied about the incident but had been told by the police not to change her story. When placed on the stand both Brandon and Gibbons botched their stories and could not get their lies straight. Judge John Colton stated in open court that he didn't understand how the case ever got to court seeing that the state had no evidence to back up their charges of 2 counts of aggravated sexual battery and 2 counts of official oppression.

The judge was also surprised at how the police department had apparently set one of their own up to be accused by placing Mosby in a lineup with 5 other men so that Gibbons and Brandon could pick out the officer that they say sexually assaulted the woman. In that lineup the five other officers were in plain clothing while Mosby was in the lineup with his police uniform on with his badge and nameplate showing. The judge told the state that they had put a spot light on the officer.

Judge Colton didn't even allow the weak and senseless case go to the jury,he himself gave a direct verdict dismissing all the charges and placed an order of expungement of criminal charges from Mosby's record.

Marcus Mosby took his firing before the Civil Service Commission who stated "Mosby should be reinstated to his frormer position of employment with the city,with full back pay and benefits to be determined after imposition of the above two suspensions,and without penalty for delays contemplated by Section 9-43 of the Memphis City Code". This order was signed and given October 20,2006.

Mosby has yet to return to the streets of Memphis even though he signed an agreement(CONTRACT) with the city months ago. In fact the director's refusal to sign Mosby's Post certification papers is a breach of Mosby's contract with the city that gives him back his job as a patrolman. It's kinda hard to patrol the streets of memphis with a gun.

It is believed by Mosby and many of his fellow officers that Godwin is setting him up to be fired again. Mosby on this morning has to appear in Nashville to get his certification that allows him to carry a gun as a policeman in the state of Tennessee. By going without the director's signature Mosby is just making a trip that will serve no purpose.

As you can see from the certification form posted that Godwin has not signed off as the head of the law enforcement agency that Mosby will be working for. Gerald Thornton has told Mosby that he does not want him back in Tact or in the field. Godwin knows that without certification from the state that Mosby will be out of compliance which means that he can be fired.

I must ad that during the time that Mosby has been given a gun carry permit by the state of Tennessee which he has used to be able to do security work to feed his family. The City of Memphis has not worked in good faith with Mosby and Thornton working in the interest of Godwin has told Mosby that eeven though he has a contract with the city, the city can't force Godwin to sign the certification.

Also Thornton who is black and the husband of Tv reporter Stephanie Scurlock has aided in taking food out of the mouth of Mosby and his family. The city was ordered by The Civil Service Commission to reinstate Mosby with his full back pay. The city was to pay for 33 months of back pay,but Thornton told Mosby that if he didn't except pay for just 15 months he had been told by Godwin to appeal.

Mosby who had been off work for months and has a wife and children to feed was pressured into accepting back pay for just 15 months, and was told by Thornton that since he had to work so hard on the case he would throw in a extra moth of back pay. So to be able to maintain his family Mosby accepted $68,000 instead of $150,000. This is a totally unjust pain that has been brought against Mosby and his family and Thornton should be ashamed of himself for being a lap dog for Godwin.

Mosby was decertified but other officers have not lost their gun carrying power as police officers. A officer Penny who was involved in the brutal killing of mental patient Denvey Buckley, who was fired by then Director James Bolden was given his job back, never lost his certification and is a member of the TACT Unit. Officer Jason Webb who is reported by sources within the department to have tested postive twice for crack cocaine has not lost his certification or his job. Lt. McCord who was fired just several months ago for submitting false pay slips and was involved in police Bruatality at Nappi By Nature was fired but he never lost his certification and on last week was reinstated to the department by the Civil Service Commission.


Tommy Turner then President of the Memphis Police Association told Mosby that he was going to send a letter to the state several years ago asking them not to full his certication until his matter was settled in court, but when Mosby's certification was pulled and he asked Turner about the letter he was supposed to send he denied ever telling Mosby that he was going to send a letter. but why should anyone be surprised at what Turner would do for the man who he has been in business with, who he served as best man for in his wedding,and was his former patrol partner.

Marcus Mosby is fearful for his job and cannot understand why Godwin wants to end his career. Mosby was cleared of all charges and has the right to have his job back. Gerald Thornton a City Attorney is not forcing Godwin to abide by a signed contract between the city and Mosby. Marcus Mosby wants the public to know what is happening to him so that Godwin will have to fire him out in the open insted of in the shadows.

Even Though Godwin wants to play God he still has to answer to the mayor who has the power to direct Godwin to do the right thing and give this officer back his job. It's bad enough that the city used the sad plight of Mosby's family to swindle him out of his back pay but it's even sadder if the mayor allows Godwin to abuse this police officer.

Marcus Mosby is making a blank trip today to nashville and Godwin knows it and is prepared to fire him for his own selfish reasons. Mr. mayor you have the power to tell the man with the God Complex to go to hell. protect this officer and save his family from financial ruin. It's the right thing to do.

How West Memphis Police And Apartment Complex Are Liable In The Death Of DeAunta Farrow

According to some of the comments that I have read concerning the new lawsuit that has been filed by Attorney Javier Bailey for the Farrow family,most people don't understand how the Steeple Chase Apartments can be added to the lawsuit. Its very simple and a common law called "Premise Liability".

The Steeplechase Apartments is private property and the police cannot just endanger tenants because they are the police. The mere fact that they state that they were watching for would be robbers sets the premise for danger. For officers to patrol or stakeout on private property there must by a order of agency signed by the management of the rental property. There had been no violation of the law that would have allowed Sammis and his team to come on the property bypassing the "Premise Liability" Law.

The tenants of the apartments under the law have the expectation that the property will make sure that everything in there power will be done to protect them from danger. The fact that SteepleChase has allowed the police to use the property in the past is a violation if the tenants were not informed. The West Memphis Police should have informed the management that there was a stakeout going on on the property,thus SteepleChase should have informed the tenants that there could be a dangerous situation to occur. If the police did not inform the management they violated the law.

Premises Security Liability
Landlords and property managers have become the target of what appears to be a legal trend called premises security liability. Premises liability is a civil action where a plaintiff will attempt to hold a landlord or property manager liable for money damages for injuries inflicted during a violent criminal attack committed on their rental property. The damages sought can be for both physical and psychological injuries suffered following an attack. The allegation is usually that the landlord contributed to the plaintiff’s injury because of a failure to provide adequate security on the property. In recent years, insurance industry statistics have shown that the highest premises liability jury awards have been for sexual assaults and deaths on apartment properties.

High Profile
The word of multi-million dollar jury verdicts against landlords has been spread by the media and in legal trade journals. This negative coverage has created a rush of new lawsuits around the country against landlords and property managers. The litigation rush has become so widespread that both plaintiff and defense bars now hold regular seminars for this area of law practice. The Association of Trial Lawyers of America meets annually to offer training programs on how to successfully sue an apartment landlord for premises liability.

To prevail on an inadequate security claim, the plaintiff must prove that the landlord breached their duty of care by failing to provide reasonable security measures, under the circumstances. Typically this is done, for example, by demonstrating that door or window locks were defective and not repaired or lights were not functioning for weeks prior to plaintiff’s assault. The focus could also involve an employee of the landlord. The negligence allegation may focus on the methods used for hiring, training, and supervising the apartment manager, the leasing consultants, the maintenance personnel, or the security officers.

Until you have been sued for over a million dollars in a protracted litigation, you may wonder what all the concern is about. More than one, litigation-free, landlord has told me, that’s why I have insurance when describing their indifference to being sued. They just don’t believe that taking proactive steps will make any difference in their tolerance to be sued or ability to defend should they be sued. They just don’t understand the problem.

Punitive Damages
One big problem, not often considered, is the possibility of being sued for punitive damages. Punitive damage awards are designed to punish a landlord or property manager, not merely compensate the plaintiff for their injuries. Punitive damages are awarded when the jury believes a landlord or property manager acted with malice or with a conscious disregard for the safety of the plaintiff, prior to being injured. An extreme example might be when a landlord knowingly hired a maintenance man, just paroled from prison for child molestation, and provided him with a uniform, free apartment, and access to a property filled with children. Punitive damages are not usually covered by liability insurance and therefore are expected to be paid out of the personal assets of the person being sued.

Business Records Exposed
A frustrating litigation problem arises when your property is viewed under a judicial microscope, in a very public forum such as a trial. A landlord or property manager must answer detailed questions about their private financial statements, business holdings, and methods of operation. Even your most confidential business records and damaging in-house reports must be produced, if so ordered by the court. I know landlords who have spent hundreds of hours researching records in preparation for trial. I’ve seen management offices literally turned upside down looking for documents and attempting to organize five-years of files that had never been organized before. Worst of all, after the trial is over, these records may be passed on to other plaintiff lawyer during the course of a subsequent lawsuit.

Manager Under Fire
In high exposure litigation, it in not unusual for management employees and staff to become involved as percipient witnesses. I’ve also heard many resident managers say that they felt like a gun was to their head during their testimony. They feared repercussion, if they didn’t respond correctly or in a manner consistent with others. Careers have been ended or altered because of the outcome of an intense litigation. The process has a way of bringing out the worst flaws in property management because of the focus on the negative issues and imperfect decision making. These newly discovered flaws have been the basis for job demotions and terminations. Sometimes, when the focus is on the qualifications or credibility of a resident manager, the plaintiff hires a private investigator to examine the background of that employee. Too often, these investigations have turned up fraudulent backgrounds, criminal convictions, and even current arrest warrants.

On last night on my radio showWest Memphis City Council members Lorraine Robinson and Maro McClendon spoke of an effort that could remove Johnson from office. There are persons getting together to consider a RECALL of the mayor.

The city has a provision that calls for 35% of voters who voted in the last election to sign a petition that would call for a vote to take place to oust Johnson. The same group is also considering putting together a massive voter registration drive to add voters to the role for the RECALL.

it also seem that Sammis may just do the smart thing an not return to the streets of West Memphis as a police officers. It's strongly rumored that Sammis will resign from his job as a West Memphis Murder, oops I mean police officer.

Farrow Lawsuit Refiled For $275 Million Includes Apartment Complex

The wrongful death civil lawsuit that was dropped last Friday by a Federal judge in the case of DeAunta Farrow was refiled late Friday night for $275,000,000. The lawsuit was dismissed because the judge stated that all the heirs of the 12 year old had to be included.

Even though Robin Perkins the father of Farrow had retained a separate attorney then that of Debra Farrow, this mother and father have closed ranks and have decided to work together.

Also the SteepleChase hasbeen added to the lawsuit. Attorney Javier Bailey states that the apartment complex should have told the residents that police were on a survillane mission and by not informing the residents their lives were placed in danger

Elkington's contract is with Beale Street Development Corporation solely. Also submitted is the portion of Elkington's contract with BSDC that shows that is to collect the rents take out his percentage and turn the rest of the funds over to BSDC who in turn, turns the balance of the funds over to the city. Police Officer Involved In Police Brutality Case And Fired For Stealing Time Returns To MPD

I wonder why the so called main stream media has not reported that Lt. Michael McCord who was suspended for police brutality to several black men at Nappi By Nature a local hair salon and fired for an unrelated cause has returned to the Memphis Police department after civil service overturned his firing.

McCord and two other officers -Steven Grigsby and Billy Gray were punished after a MPD investigation into their actions during a May 30 Nappi by Nature incident on Elvis Presley. Five peolple were intially arrested in the case, the charges were later dropped by Bill Gibbons,who also added that no criminal charges would be filed against the officers.

While McCord was not fired for the pepper straying and brutality of Sefu Uhuru,his wife and three other people Through my sources within the MPD I have been made aware of what the unrelated issue is.

I am aware and have the documentation where a fellow female officer Glynetha Davis feels as though McCord intimidated because she caught McCord stealing time with overtime blue slips used to pay officers when they appear off duty in court. I have documentation that shows that because she didn't want to partake of an illegal act by a police officer he called her a "Snitch". Davis felt as though she was being intimidated by McCord and talked with Deputy Director Dobbins who gave her the okay to file a memo of complaint against McCord.

I also have documentation showing Director Larry Godwin's reaction at a July 10, meeting after officer Davis filed a memo complaining of harassment and intimidation tactics by McCord. in fact there is documentation that shows that Godwin had her filed checked to see if anything negative could be found,and a Lt Loris Hopkins advised her that Godwin wanted to charge her administratively for not following the chain of command.

But the policy and procedure manual shows that since she was given the okay by deputy Director Dobbins he could not go forward with charges because a order by either Godwin or Dobbins supersedes any other by any other supervisor. This is to inform the 12th floor that I am aware of why McCord was really fired and to protect Officer Davis from retaliation from Godwin who proved on last week how vicious he can be,and also from McCord. I have all the documentation on this matter and will be posting it throughout the rest of the week. The mayor needs to realize there is a serious problem withe the MPD and Goodwin's cronies.

Is the reason that WPTY did the soft shoe story tonight about church security and how pastors and churches need protection because of a meeting on Saturday at the home of Bill Adkins ministers with multi millionaire life styles met to tell the mangement of how the station invaded their privacy and endangered them?

On Sunday one of the managers of WPTY was present at World Overcomers to apologize for running the story last month on the million dollars homes of local pastors. Why did this news station coward down to these pulpit pimps? There was nothing in the story that was a lie, so why is it that the station now doesn't want the community and the members of these churches to know where their money is going?

Have we reached a point now where the so called main stream media can not be depended on to inform this community about what's going on? If this TV news department will coward down to black preachers, who else have they coward down to? What other power brokers have been able to call them and they refuse to report a story?

Is it possible that WPTY thought that their cowardice would remain a secret,and that there ass kissing to Bill Akins, A,R. Williams, Edward Stephens, and Frank E. Ray would go unnoticed? Pastor A.R. Williams believes that the best way to teach on sex in marriage is to put on live show with him dressed in his robe and pajamas and parading his wife around the church in a sexy gown with red feathers, but what this this live sex show have to do with the word of God?

Thaddeus, I am a member and I was there on yesterday. Our pastor has been on this series of sex and marriage for about 6-8 weeks. As a single person, this has been too much on me and some of my friends in the church. While I highly respect our pastor, I think he has went a bit too far with this oral sex, anal sex and marriage.

Pastor Williams whose Sunday morning freak session is designed to save marriages tells the women in the congregation "This is how to keep your husband so the Hoe don't get him".

In my opinion A.R. Williams has gone to far, the pastor who spent $260,000 to build a statue that reminds you of the Statue Of Liberty has lost his God focus and now become an entertainer willing to do anything to keep fleecing his flock of their money so that he can continue to live his luxury lifestyle.

In a time that people in the community need the Word of God for deliverance from their plights by allowing the word to get them up and motivated to make changes in their lives, this fool wants to hold Sunday morning sex classes. What about salvation and the saving of souls? I guess with New Directions Church being less than a mile away Williams is losing members which means that he is losing dollars.

So what will Williams do next Sunday, Show the men how to please their wives by performing oral sex on sister Sherrilyn, or maybe he'll give a course on the various positions of lovemaking. "Express Yourself" Is Moving To Evening Drive On January 2,2008

Starting January 2,2008 "Express Yourself" will be moving to daytime on AM 990 KWAM. The move is to maximize my audience by being able to daily broadcast at 10,000 watt. The show which will air from 4pm -6pm will be more of a force this time of day, than at it's present time. The show will continue to be "No holds barred" and very controversial. I will be stepping up the program with more controversial subjects and guests.

The management of KWAM wants to be able to compete in the market, and feel with the number of calls I receive at night on low power where many have to strain and listen that the listening audience can only grow even larger. Many have wondered why my present program has not been listed on the KWAM website. the answer is two fold first I've never submitted a picture to be placed,and secondly I didn't want to be listed until my program was ready to take over a daytime programming slot. But I will be submitting a picture next week to go on the site.

With my show being an independent program of KWAM there are some things that my show can do that others cannot. I am able to endorse and push openly on air any candidates I so chose,which by it's self will make the show a force. I will use the show to promote candidates and their platforms if I think that she or he is the better candidate, For example I strongly support Congressman Steve Cohen for re-election as the congressman from the 9th Congressional District and will use all 10,000 watts to help make that happen.

"Express Yourself" has always had a very large audience when aired in the daytime,so I don't expect anything less this time. It makes me no difference who is on the radio from 4PM -6PM on any other radio station, daytime radio is really about to get hot.

With Such a Bad Record Why Does Bob Paudert Want Erik Sammis To Remain On The Force?

Why is it that Bob Paudert Chief of Police in West Memphis wants Erik Sammis the killer of 12 year old DeAunta Farrow to remain on the force. It can't be because he such a great police officer,seeing that he has been written up and suspended numerous time while a policeman in the city plus the fact that he was fired in 1194 from the Little Rock Police Department for lying and falsifying reports.

He has been written up for violation of police policy and for total disregard for a supervisor even though that supervisor,Inspector S. Ball stated that he had done everything he could to work with Sammis including his personal life and problems. Inspector Ball asked that Sammis be removed from his shift, in fact he felt that Sammis was the cause of moral and attitude problems from other officers.

I have also submitted a report where Sammis refused to wear his normal uniform as ordered by another supervisor,and became combative and offensive to the supervisor telling him, "If you don't like what I'm wearing send me home",Which the supervisor did releaving Sammis of duty.

On April 9 of this year Sammis received a letter of reprimand for stealing two swords from a person he arrested in November of last year. After stopping Johnathan Crawley and arresting him for resisting a arrest two swords in Crawley's car was found. Instead of following policy and reporting the swords to the Property and evidence department of the West Memphis police, Sammis became a thief and kept the swords for himself.

On March 3,2007 Assistant Chief Mark Allen was contacted by West Memphis City Attorney David Peeples advising him that Crawley's attorney Marc Baretz informed him that there was never any official report or documenation made of the seizure of the swords from Crawley when he was arrested. Even though Crawley did get his swords back Baretz stated that the arresting officers would have kept them hadn't he asked about the swords.

So with the record of Sammis,why should he remain on the force, what is the relationship between Sammis and Paudert,that he has publicly stated that he is not concerned about his past?

Side note: The federal judge who dismissed the civil lawsuit that The Farrow family had against the city of West Memphis was unaware that Robin Perkins the father of DeAunta Farrow had filed his own separate lawsuit with a Little Rock attorney. The lawsuit was refiled late Friday night with Debra Farrow, Robin Perkins, and DeAunta's brother all being parties to the suit.

John Elkington Has No Contract With The City Of Memphis

For 34 years Randel Catron has been a fixture on Beale Street. Catron a former song writer for STAX has had to fight to preserve a black heritage to once what was the only street in Memphis that Blacks could entertain and call their own. Catron alone with other members of Beale Street Development Corporation are the true developers of what is now the number one tourist attraction in the state of Tennessee. It was BSDC that secured the funding of the redevelopment of Beale, and it was the Federal Government that made sure BSDC received a 52 year contract to become the holders of the leases in the Historic district.

Even though BSDC is connected at the hip with the City of Memphis as co-grantees of the leases for the last 25 years the city has refused to protect their partner,by refusing to fund the budget of the organization,and by allowing John elkington and his company Performa Real Estate and Entertainment to defraud the city out of millions of dollars. The city which has no contract with Elkington has met behind close doors with him trying to cut deals for the street which includes trying to cut BSDC out.

No matter what the city wants, the Herenton administration has no power to destroy the contract that was made over 25 years ago with the Federal Government. One of the reasons that BSDC was given such a long contract was so that the interest of the street would maintain it's historic flavor and not just become a toy for poli-trick-ans and power brokers.

One would think that with a black mayor and black City Council members that the heritage of the street would have been protected and the organization that made Beale Street possible again would be secured,but this has not happened.

Elkington to save face with the other cities around the country he's building projects in based on his lie about developing Beale Street continues to state that he has a contract with the city,which is a lie. Elkington only has a contract with BSDC not the City of Memphis.

When Elkington signed on in 1982 the street had already received it's funding and the street had been redevelop. It was Elkington's job to go out and find businesses to lease the buildings. it was also his job to collect the rents and manage the street. But Elkington is a liar when he says that he developed the street.

Elkington has also stated that he invested $1.7 million dollars of his own money into Beale Street but has never supplies any documentation to show what the so called investment was spent on. But the biggest question that would have to be asked is,If the street had just been developed what was needed that Elkington would have to spend money on?

In today's article Elkington speaks of placing money in an escrow account, This was only done last month after Catron, merchants from Beale Street and myself went before the City Council to ask the council to get involved in finding out why Elkington has not paid the city one dime in 25 years which was to be paid through BSDC. Elkington has placed only $10,000 with the Chancery Court who ordered him in 2004 to place all monies into an escrow account, which he did not do until I made his contempt of court public.

Elkington speaks of How Willie Herenton stated last year that he was doing such a great job, But why is Herenton now telling people that Elkington has to go,and that he has become an embarrassment. It is no doubt that City Attorney's in the Herenton administration have worked in cahoots with Elkington allowing him to violate a court order and having meetings with him knowing that he has no contract with the city.

I have a letter in my possession that shows that Elkington sent the mayor a letter trying to convince him that the street should be sold. I also have letters that the mayor sent out his first year in office trying to find other companies to manage the street. So it is no doubt that the mayor is aware of the happenings on Beale, but it's time for the mayor to act and join with BSDC to remove Elkington from the street.

Taxpayers have invested $22 million dollars in Beale Street but Elkington is the only person that has benefited from the investment. Elkington has worked with the Herenton administration to cut the watchdog of the money invested out of the deal. Why would the city offer BSDC $175,000 to give up control of the leases,and not force Elkington to pay the city? The answer is simple, you get rid of BSDC,and the city and Elkington become partners with no accountability to the citizens of this community.

Maybe the mayor needs to go back and read the agreement with the Federal government and BSDC so that he can fully understand what the government's intents were when the grant money was allotted, If he can't find a copy, I'll let him read the one that I have. To allow John Elkington to get away with not paying the city any money when the street produces over $30 millions dollars a year is criminal,and the city is contributing to that crime.

Randel Catron who marched with Martin Luther King Jr. has no plans of selling out the heritage of the street to the city or to Elkington,which is the reason that he is taking the city and Elkington to court next month. Catron knows that if the city tries to silence him with money so that Elkington and the city can continue to defraud the city, his marching and standing up for the rights of a depressed people would have been in vain.

The mayor should remove Elkington, take over the management themselves in connection with BSDC and move the street forward. Anything else would be a crime that the U.S. Justice Department and the FBI would need to look into,because I'm sure the Federal Government would be interested in an accounting of the funds it gave and why city officials refused to demand an accounting.

Blacks Owe Clintons Nothing,So Why Not Vote For Obama

While Mega celebrity Oprah Winfrey uses her status as the most famous woman on the planet to endorse Barack Obama to become this nation's first Black president,political pundits and some media sources want to discredit him stating that blacks should not give him their vote because he can't win.

But why can't Obama win the support of blacks in this country,and why shouldn't he? Obama is as prepared for the office of President as Hillary Clinton. Obama who does have a margin of white support could win the nomination with strong black support.

Black America does not owe either Hillary or Bill a debt of gratitude,nor is Black America indebted to the Democratic party, a party who takes the black vote for granted without having an agenda to benefit those who they just know will give their support and votes to the party.

Black America now has the chance to see if those whites who state that racism in this country is a thing of the past will support a black man for President of The United States. Blacks in this country finally have a chance to create history of it's own in this country instead of living the history of White America.

Since Tuesday afternoon Mike Fleming and WREC has been taking credit for breaking the story about the problem between Police Director Larry Godwin and the Memphis Police Association. He spoke of the feud between Godwin and the new president Gene Hully as he was revealing a news break. But everything he reported on Tuesday was broke here on this site MONDAY NIGHT.

The raid by the Security Squad on the offices of MPA was reported here in detail on Tuesday night. While yes he did receive a call by a caller on air, he didn't have the details at the time as I was being spoon fed info from officers at the scene who started calling the moment I got off air on Tuesday.

Today on his show Fleming came on with what was to be earth shattering info about the feud, stating that Hully had recorded his conversation with Godwin when they met. Sorry Mike I reported that on Monday night also. I'm flattered that the so called journalist,who has attacked my blog on his show,and has stated that I am in no way a journalist has to use my site to do his show.

Mike get ready, we'll see at the first of the year whose the best,when I move my show to daytime,up against your show.

West Memphis Police Chief Bob Paudert Shows His True Color

While West Memphis Police records show that Erik Sammis has had numerous reprimands and suspensions for such things as a 1998 5 day suspension without pay for a accident, a 1999 one day suspension for conduct unbecoming an officer, a 2007 letter of reprimand for stealing from a person he arrested, Police Chief Bob Paudert states that he going to stand behind his man to the end.

In fact when the issue has been brought up about Sammis being fired in 1994 from the Little Rock Police Department for lying and falsifying reports, Paudert states that he's not going to hold his past against him.

Paudert today in an interview with WREG makes it plain as to why some of his officers are racist fools who are out of control, because he came across as the perfect example of the "Old South" where white law enforcement ruled supreme and wanted to beat the heads of blacks.

Paudert attacked the City Council who voted to ask for his resignation as "The worse City Council he ever worked with", even though he stated that "The white half of the council has been supportive".

He called the black members of the council and those blacks who have spoken out against his department as "Black Vigilantes"wanting Black justice. But he also states that he's going to "run the idiots out of town "and that he's going to shut the loud mouths up.

So what is his plan to shut the loud mouths up? does he plan to have a mass killing of Blacks in West Memphis? Will he now have his officers harass blacks on the streets of West Memphis? He made a point of stating that his officers can handle themselves. Yes we know that his officers can handle themselves,ask the family of DeAunta Farrow.

Paudert wants the public to believe that just because the Justice Department, State Prosecutors, and his office have cleared Erik Sammis and Jimmy Evans that that brings this issue to an end. But nothing could be further from the truth. There are persons as we speak preparing to bring national attention through media in other parts of the country that have a national audience so that America can see the injustice of West Memphis.

The local media and Paudert would have you think that because the Arkansas Supreme Court has a stay in place on the order of Judge Victor L. Hill to convene a grand jury, that the higher court has said no to the order. But the media has not explained that it's a normal process when a higher court has been ask to review an order or writ,that the order in question in placed on hold while the higher court reviews. This is called injunctive relief while under review. This stay in no ways state that it's all over.

Yes the order now is in the hands of the Arkansas Supreme Court, and even with the strong views of Judge Hill the process of calling a grand jury by a judge is the law and can be used. While I don't expect Mayor Johnson of West Memphis to ask for the resignation of Paudert or the officers involved in the killing of DeAunta Farrow, I hope he knows that the fat lady has not song,in fact she hasn't even tuned up yet.

Could The Rumors Be True?

Over the last year there has been a rumor around 201 poplar that Police Director Larry Godwin will be a prime witness in the murder of Ashley Scott, whose husband is accused of killing her after going into a jealous rage after finding text messages in her cell phone.

I am told by high ranking officials in the police department that the text messages in the phone of Scott came from Godwin and that he is using Lt Joe Scott a long time friend and former head of the homicide unit to cover his involvement with Ashley Scott.

It is believed that Jeffery Scott struck his wife and caused her death because of text messages in her cell phone of a intimate nature. I'm told that when Joe Scott checked the cell phone he recognized the number that produced the messages to be that of Godwin, and sought out to protect his boss and friend.

Some police officials believed that to reward Lt.Joe Scott for attempting to cover his involvement with Ashley Scott he was given the job of being in charge of " Crimes Against Persons" which is normally lead by an inspector. Joe Scott was also given an 5% "Out Of Rank" pay increase. This has angered majors and inspectors who now take orders from someone with a lesser rank. The new positon that Lt. Scott holds covers Homicide, Robbery, and Sex Crimes. I must note that Scott received this new job after the Thanksgiving death last year of Ashley Scott.

Larry Godwin who at the time was my next door neighbor,lived within walking distance of Ashley Wood,in fact the walk from his home to where she was living can be walked in less than 3 minutes, So is it possible that Godwin could have known Ashley Scott? I reported in an article last year that the information of the text messages was also known to Attorney Leslie Ballin who represents Jeffery Scott the husband and accused killer of Ashley. I spoke with Leslie several days after I wrote that story last year at 201 Poplar, who mentioned to me that that very morning Larry Godwin approached him as they were walking in the building and told him that he didn't know Ashley Scott.

Why would the Director of Police tell an attorney that he's not guilty of sending text messages to Scott. I relayed to Ballin that I have also been told that the messages were erased from the phone, but that the carrier of the service would still have those messages. If Godwin bears no guilt or involvement in the death of Ashley Wood why would he go to Ballin?It must also be stated that if what is being said about Lt.Joe Scott he could come up on charges of obstructing justice.

There's an old saying that says " If you throw a stone into a pack of dogs, the dog that gets hit hollers first". It seems that the director has barked.

Pull Out Mr Director And Be Fair To All Your Officers

Police Director Larry Godwin says that under his watch police officers will not be allowed to get away with doing wrong, but does he mean that his desire to make sure that no policies and laws are violated by officers only cover those who are not his cronies? If the director is a fair leader why did he allow close friend and former Memphis Police Association President Tommy Turner to get away with theft? here's what I'm talking about:

On April 7, 2006 Hulet T. Gregory went by a house he owns at 8542 Essex Court Cv. and noticed that some items had been stolen out of his back yard. In the police report Gregory states that he had been by the house on April 6, and all was well. What he noticed was missing was a wooden swing, a metal chair, stone walkway pieces, and plastic flower pots,all valued at $500.00.

The report goes on to state that a neighbor told Gregory that a gray pickup was parked in his drive on April 6,in the evening. the same neighbor showed him the truck that had been at his house at a nearby residence located at 2074 Kings Cross. That residence belongs to Tommy Turner,the Memphis Police Association President. The gray Tacoma with FOP tags TN-6936 belongs to Turner.

Police were called and the slate stones taken from gregory home were found in Turner's driveway.The other items listed as stolen was piled up in front of Turner's garage. The Lt. that made the scene called Turner,who agreed to return the items the next day. A CSI unit was called to the scene to take pictures and to verify the location of the stolen items. There were 23 stolen items found at Turner's home.Why hasn't Turner's face been on the front of the CA for being a petty thief?

So is Larry Godwin selective in who on the force he wants to abide by the law?

West Memphis Says it's Okay For Killers To Return To Work

The West Memphis Police department has cleared the way for the killers of 12 year old DeAunta farrow to return to work. Jimmy Evans returned on Tuesday,and Eric Sammis is set to return soon,But is it safe for these killers to return to the streets of West Memphis?

The West Memphis Police Department must know that there is bad blood between the community and these officers and that returning them to duty could cause them harm. Or is the department setting up another killing to take place?

Members of the West Memphis City Council will vote on a resolution on Thursday to ask mayor Bill Johnson to request the resignation of the two officers. The mayor has the power to make the request or deny the request of the council. The mayor must know that Sammis and Evans patrolling in black neighborhoods is not safe for him or the community. plus the mayor needs to know that with the pending convening of a grand jury its premature to return these officers with guns out in the community

Police Officers Have Their Guns And Badges Taken By Godwin's Henchmen

A little after 7pm tonight (Tuesday) Officers of the Internal Affairs Bureau of the Memphis Police Department after being tipped off by the Security Squad stormed in the offices of the Memphis Police Association offices on Jefferson. Where 9 on duty officers from the moter division had stopped by.

These officers who are supporters of the new President of the Union Gene Hully had there guns and badges taken,and were taken to the IAB office for questioning. Even though the officers were on duty I'm told by other officers that it's a common practice for officers to stop by the union hall for coffee or cokes, or to just use the rest room.

It is believed that this raid on officers was a continued move by Police Director Larry Godwin to bust the MPA since his long time buddy Tommy Turner was defeated as president. Turner is a former patrol partner of Godwin and a business partner in a fence building company.

As first reported on this site Gene Hully was called into the director's office and told very sternly that the director didn't want him in charge of the union and that he would either have to give up his rank as Lieutenant or give up the position of president. Sources state that Hully recorded his conversation with Godwin and has turned over the tape to the FBI.

Many believe that Godwin is out of control and is on a power trip. They also believe that he has something on the mayor that makes him think that the mayor has no choice but reappoint him,which some think has to do with the accident that Andrea Herenton was in that took the life of a man on the interstate.

Sources are also saying that Hully has plans to ask for a forensic audit of the books of the union to see if all the funds are accounted for,and that if they're not he will turn those findings over to the FBI. There are those members who think that Godwin wants to cover for what may have went wrong under the tenure of his friend.

I'm told that on today the Security Squad went to the precinct that Hully works out of and pulled his file,made copies and left his file on the copying machine for all to see. It's stated that Hully has no plans to be pushed around by Godwin and wonders if the mayor will rein in his dog or let him get bite.

Should Mayor Ask Police Director To Give Up His $15,000 Security System Paid For By Tax Payers

For over a year I was the next door neighbor of Police Director Larry Godwin on Wesley Wood Circle in Cordova. One of the first things I noticed was the high tech security system on the Godwin home. The system is so high tech that the director is equipped to hear what is going on outside and next door,and is able to zoom in on objects up the street.

I inquired to find out if the high tech system was owned by the city,or if the director had made the purchase himself. As I suspected the system is the property of taxpayers at a cost of $20,000. But the question I ask, should the taxpayers be paying for his home security system? The director also has the priviledge of having police officers in the area drive by all day checking his home.

With the city as of the this moment has over 150 homicides, many citizens have died, had their homes broken into because they did not have the luxury of having the city pay for a home security system. Godwin is the first Police Director that has had taxpayers provide a home security system at their home.

Why did the council approve this luxury when Godwin who makes well over $100,000 per year is able to provide his own security system? Should the mayor call for Godwin to provide his own system as any other citizen has to? Should the mayor demand that his appointee take the same risk as the rest of us? What has Godwin done at police Director that would call for such a high tech system?

I am writing in response to your inquiry concerning security cameras at Police Director Larry Godwin’s residence. The Organized Crime Unit of the Memphis Police Department installed security cameras at Police Director Larry Godwin’s residence around March/April 2005. The equipment and maintenance fees were less than $10,000 for this system. The decision was made to install these cameras based on concerns for the safety of Director Godwin and his family and the recognition that the 24-hour nature of his job would require Director Godwin to engage in confidential discussions with MPD, local and federal officials from his home.

Especially during the past 24 months, Director Godwin has been a high profile leader in the war on crime, drugs and gangs in our community and he is clearly viewed as a threat to this element of society. Approximately 18 months after the cameras were installed, the City began upgrading and standardizing surveillance equipment in various departments and precincts throughout MPD. The equipment located at Director Godwin’s residence was upgraded late in 2006 to meet the standard and to allow for more streamlined management and maintenance of the system. The cost of the equipment upgrade in 2006 was less than $5,000.The wooden fence surrounding Director Godwin’s residence was paid for by Director Godwin. Catron Can't Get Paid, But is Sued Over Smoke Sausage

In an attempt to survive on Beale Street while John Elkington refused to follow his contract with Beale Street Development Corporation by collecting rent payments taking out his percentage and turning over the rest to the organization that hired him to manage the street, Randle Catron was reduced to sitting in his Beale Street office in the winter time with just a space heater on to keep his feet warm because without being paid he had no money to pay a high utility bill.

The city has refused to approve the budget for BSDC as called for in the contract between the group and the city,and has moved in the past to attempt to force the group responsible for the funding and redevelopments of the historic district off the street. Former City Councilman Ricky Peete who also served as the $125,000 Director of the Beale Street Merchants was a close ally of John Elkington and made every move to force Catron from the street which would have allowed Elkington to get sole control of the street.

The plan was to cause BSDC to default on their contract with the city. The city has even had the nerve to sue BSDC. Peete who had the ear of city government made sure that Catron was harassed by Code Enforcement for failure to have electrical outlets covered properly and any other minor violation that could be found. Even though Catron had all the permits needed to sell food on the street Peete made it known that he didn't want Catron selling anything in competition with merchants on the street,but Peete as councilman would not make sure that Catron was paid by Elkington .

The final insult came when Catron and the BSDC was taken to court for selling a smoke sausage dipped in corn dog batter. Yes you read it right BSDC was taken to court for selling what Peete and Others said was a corn dog. The reason for the lawsuit, the merchants led by Peete didn't want Catron to compete with other businesses who also sold corn dogs.

Ricky Peete and John Elkington worked in cahoots to force BSDC from Beale Street. In fact Elkington presented a plan to Willie Herenton to sell the street,never mentioning how much he owed the city.

There is no doubt that the reason that Elkington has been able to operate with scrutiny has been because he has had ties to city government. The city has long been aware of the plight of Beale Street but has refused to force Elkington to pay up. The city allowed a Chancery Court order to be violated without taking Elkington back to court for contempt.

The question must also be asked, why hasn't the mayor approved the budget of BSDC during his tenure? Why hasn't the black mayor sought to protect a black organization from destruction by a white power broker? Why did Ricky Peete a black man join forces with John Elkington? Why didn't Peete force the council and the Herenton administration into making sure the interest of the city was met by making Elkington produce the millions owed to this community?

HOW CAN THE FBI INDICT RICKY PEETE, EDMOND FORD, JOSEPH LEE AND OTHERS FOR ALLEGELY TAKING A FEW THOUSAND,AND NOT INDICT ELKINGTON FOR TAKING MILLIONS ESPECIALLY WHEN FEDERAL DOLLARS ARE INVOLVED?

Is Larry Goodwin Trying To Destroy Police Union

Sources within the City of Memphis Police Department are saying that since Tommy Turner former patrol partner and business partner of Police Director Larry Godwin lost his position as head of the Memphis Police Association in a recent election. the director is trying to destroy thee union and has told the new president Gene Hulley that he will have to either resign as President or give of his rank.

The sources state that recently Godwin called Hulley into a meeting and told him that he didn't like the fact that he was the new head of the union and that he would not be allowed to serve unless he gives up his rank as Lieutenant. It's also reported that Hulley taped his conversation with the director and has or is prepared to turn it over to the FBI.

The sources also state that Hulley will go before the directors of the union on Thursday to get there opinion on whether the director is over stepping his bounds in attempting to rid the union of someone who is not 12th floor friendly.

I'm also told that many Police officers are hoping that Goodwin is not reappointed to his post and that the mayor will select someone to lead the force that is not just concerned about personal power but the well being of officers as well as the safety of the city.

The sources state that if Godwin is reappointed that they will make calls to the new City Council asking them not to be a rubber stamp by confirming Goodwin. I have sent a message to Hulley that I would like to speak to him and also get a copy of that tape. If what the sources say is correct and such a tape exists where the director is on a power tantrum, he should not be reappointed. The director should submit a workable plan to the council that shows how as director he plans to reduce crime before the council gives him a thumbs up,

It's Time For Willie Herenton To Rid Beale Street Of John Elkington, Not Randle Catron

Randel Catron Executive Director of The Beale Street Development Corporation has filed a lawsuit against John Elkington and his company Performa Real Estate and Entertainment and The City of Memphis to force Elkington to pay BSDC and the city the millions that have not been paid since 1982 when Performa became the management company for the historic district.


The lawsuit forces all the parties into a court room and stops the politics.To long has the mayor's office and city council members turned there heads and allowed Elkington to reign free with tax payers money. There is no reason that the number one tourist attraction in the state has never made a profit,unless government official worked with Elkington to defraud the citizens of monies that are due.


Elkington has no contract with the City of Memphis but yet city official have met with him, bypassing the BSDC which the city has a 52 year agreement with. Former City Councilman Rickey Peete who until his indictment was also the Director of the Beale Street Merchants Assoc ran interference for Elkington and aided him to enrich himself and his cronies while defrauding BSDC and the City of Memphis.

The lawsuit speaks of the silence that the city has maintained with the full knowledge that Elkington had defaulted on his agreement with BSDC which would make the default also a default against the city. The city with full knowledge of a Chancery Court order in 2002 where Elkington was ordered by the court to place all present and future funds in an escrow account has allowed him to show his contempt for the court and the city by not going back to court to force him to pay. Elkington knew that he had control of city Hall so he never paid one dime into the account until several weeks ago when I made the matter public. Since that time even though he collects over $100,000 a month in rents has placed only $10,000 in the account.

It's time for Willie Herenton to show this city that he is not a crony of Elkington and call for Elkington to leave the street. With the various defaults of payments to contractors building on the street the city should join with BSDC and fire his ass. the city has in the past attempted to sue BSDC for default knowing that BSDC could not maintain itself because Elkington refused to pay them and the mayor refused to approve the budget of the organization.

The mayor has told others that he wants Elkington gone from the street,but now it's time for the mayor to tell him. This city is in need of the funds that Elkington has swindled this city out of. Police and firemen needed raises,streets need to be fixed, holes need to be filled,and Elkington is building projects all over the country while lying and saying that Beale Street has not made a profit in 25 years.

Are we to believe that Elkington is telling these other cities that he has not been successful with Beale Street when he's conning them into doing business with him, of course not. he's telling them how he developed the street, which he didn't, he was already develop when he came to the street as the law clerk of former mayor Chandler.

It's time for the political games to end between city hall and Beale Street. It's time for the mayor to show leadership and call for an forensic audit of the books of performa to find out where all the Beale Street funds have been spent, It;s time to find out if Elkington has used the Beale Street leases as collateral to fund some of his out of town projects. But the biggest thing that must be done is the removal of Elkington from the street, or maybe it;s time for the FBI to investisgate why the city which accepted government funding is allowing Elkington to get away with not following the agreement between himself and BSDC which has the contract with the city,and whose allowing it to happen.

Witness Whose Apartment Was Fire Bombed Speaks With Arkansas State Police

The 42 year old woman who eyewitness the shooting of DeAunta Farrow,and whose apartment was torched a week later today spoke with Arkansas State Policeman Mike Middleton. The woman and myself met with Middleton in an undisclosed location here in Memphis due to the fact that she has a fear for her safety in West Memphis. Alone with the fire,several days prior to the fire a window was broken in her apartment and an 18 wheeler tried to run her on the road.

The young lady is not sure whether or not it was police or someone else who knew what she saw that started the fire. While she feels that someone close to police could have had the fire set,she also feels that the fire could have been a message to her to tell what she saw on the night that DeAunta Farrow was shot by Eric Sammis.

She states that she had only been living in the apartment about a week and was hanging curtains and watching TV in her bedroom when she noticed a grey pickup truck parked beside her truck outside her apartment in the SteepleChase. She was watchful because someone had placed glass behind her tires several days earlier.

The young woman states that as she was hanging up the curtains she noticed two young boys coming across the park toward her. As the boys reached Goodwin and 24th she states that FOUR men exited the pickup which had 4 doors with guns in hand. She goes on to state that she never heard the men ID themselves as police officers and heard them tell the boys "Don't Run,Don't Run", which is the same words that another witness told the FBI. As a mother she states that she felt a pain in her heart when Farrow was shot in the chest.

She goes on to state that Unseld Nance did in fact go to the ground, but DeAunta who she states was holding a Coke in one hand and a bag of chips in the other seemed confused as he held his hands in the air, and went to place the Coke in his pocket when he was shot by Sammis.

After she saw that the child had been shot she attempted to leave her apartment to aid the child, but was stopped by one of the 4 officers and told to go back in her apartment. She states that at that point 2 officers with assault rifles came to her living room and bedroom windows looking in. In fear for her life she ran out her back door and mingled with the crowd that had made the scene.

I spoke with Middleton about many things about this case,some off the record but I stated to him that it was real strange to me that the Commander of the TACT unit would be in a position where he could not not see what his unit had under surveillance. I told him I also found it strange that since he was parked at least a city block and a half away he had no binoculars or night vision equipment, plus he only had radio contact according to the state's report with a sniper inside the near by school. Why didn't he have radio contact with the other officers on the mission, is it because they were in the truck with him.

The woman who presently has not been identified and is staying in a undisclosed location is prepared to do whatever is needed to make sure that justice is rendered in this case, which is the reason that she had me contact State Prosecutor H.G. Foster and the Arkansas State police.

Did West Memphis Police Plant Toy Gun On DeAunta Farrow?

According to an FBI report dated June 28,2007 and taken by FBI Special Agent,Dixon Land an unidentified black male who is related to Robin Perkins the father of DeAunta Farrow,states that Perkins is not supposed to talk about it but after the shooting of DeAunta Farrow West Memphis Narc officer Bailey Phillips rolled the body over and planted a toy gun. The unidentified person goes on to state in the report that he does not know why Robin Perkins is not supposed to talk about it.

Also in a separate FBI report dated the same date and taken by the same Special Agent, Perkins in an interview states he has heard rumors that Bailey Phillips rolled his son's body over and planted a toy gun under the body. However he has heard anyone identified who actually observed this happening and he does not know if Phillips was on the scene after the shooting.

The question must be asked how did the unidentified person get this info if not from Robin Perkins,and is it possible that seeing that there was no prints or blood from Farrow on the toy weapon that the gun could have been planted?

California: Evidence Planting Part of Official Police Training
Police in Huntington Beach, California use cars stopped for traffic tickets for training in planting evidence.

Huntington Beach, California police are officially trained to plant false evidence during traffic stops. The "evidence" includes guns, drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Local resident Thomas Cox, 45, had been stopped on a hit-and-run accusation in January. As he stood near his Hyundai, he saw Officer Brian Knorr toss a loaded gun into his car's trunk. Later, another officer "discovered" the gun as the police officers at the scene laughed. Police Chief Kenneth Small admitted to the Orange County Register newspaper that this was a regular training exercise.

Cox filed a complaint and the training tactics became a subject of his October trial. Cox was convicted and the police officers exonerated.

Las Vegas, Nevada police used similar training methods that left a man falsely charged with drug possession because police failed to retrieve the planted contraband.

Witness States He Saw Police Chasing DeAunta Farrow

Eddie Moore a resident of the SteepleChase Apartments where DeAunta Farrow was gunned down has told the FBI that he saw Farrow and his cousin Unseld nance Jr. being chased by police at the time of the shooting.

According to an FBI report dated June 25,2007 and taken by Special Agent C.W.Ellis Jr. Moore states that on the evening of June 22,2007 he was upstairs hanging outside a window located next to his apartment on 24th street talking with one of his neighbors.

Moore states that he heard 2 loud bangs which he describes as gun shots. Moore states that he is still hanging outside of the window and looks in the direction of where he heard the shots come from,and saw 2 men that he describes as police officers running across the parking lot, Moore states that he saw the 2 officers chasing 2 black men and SAW 2 more gun shots fired by the police officers in the direction of the males they were chasing.

Moore states that after the second gun shots were fired he heard the police officers say "Get Down,Get Down". He goes on to state that he saw one of the black males handcuffed and placed against a tree,while seeing the other black male laying on the ground.

Moore states that even though it was dark outside there was still enough light lighting for him to see everything that took place that evening. The more I read the report of Arkansas State police the more I see reason to convene a grand jury.

Why Does Flash Market Employee Change Her Story In Sighting Of DeAunta Farrow?

On Wednesday morning,June 27,2007 Arkansas State Police went to the Citgo Flash Market convenient store the location that supposedly was being watched by Erik Sammis the night he killed DeAunta Farrow. The Citgo is the store where moments before he was killed Farrow was supposed to have purchased a Coke and chips.

The investigators met with Mr. Bruce Lawman the manager of the store to obtain the security video surveillance from the store that should have been taken on the evening of June 22,2007 the date of the killing of the 12 year old. When the tape was checked, it was found that the camera was only programmed to capture or record video surveillance for a period of 48 hours. Everything prior to June 24th,2007 at 10:00 pm had been taped over.

Lawman stated that Felicia Smith had made a comment to other employees that she remembered DeAunta coming in the store that evening and making a purchase,and according to Lawman Felicia checked in at 9:45 pm on the evening of June 22,2007. The time that she checked in is just minutes before Farrow is shot and killed right across the street from the store.

When Felicia Smith is interviewed by the State Police on July 2,2007 she changes her story stating "I reported to work at 9:30 pm on June 22,2007 at the Flash Market on Ingram Boulevard. I did not see DeAunta Farrow come in the store while I was working".

Why does her story change and why the 15 minute difference in the time her manager states that she checked in and the time she states she reported to work. Did she decide that she didn't want to be involved or did someone help her change her mind?

John Elkington Is Ripping Jackson Mississippi Off Also

It seems that Jackson Mississippi is in the process of being ripped out by John Elkington like he has done the City of Memphis. Here's a story from a Jackson area newspaper:

The Farish Street District Redevelopment Ad Hoc Committee and Jackson Mayor Frank Melton lobbed complaints about the lack of development progress in the Farish Street Entertainment District at a public forum last week. Committee members, including chairman Harold Lathon and hip-hop artist and Jackson Free Press columnist 'Kamikaze,' hurled complaints at Memphis-based Performa Entertainment Real Estate Inc., which is overseeing development of the project.

Kamikaze pointed out that Farish Street languishes in blight while other portions of downtown blossom with new development.

"If you stand in front of the site of the convention center and look a stone's throw away from the convention center, you still see the blight that exists on Farish Street," Kamikaze said. "Nobody's doing anything about it."

Melton proposed to take the Farish Street contract away from Performa.

"Over the last four or five weeks, there's been nobody working on the entertainment district," Melton said. "We're going to pull that contract and get some local people who can get that done."

Melton criticized the absence of Mid State Construction workers on Farish Street, telling the crowd that contractors working with the Memphis company told him that Performa had been stiffing them out of their pay. "I called (Mid State), and they say they haven't been paid in the last three months, and that's why they're not down there (working) anymore," Melton said.

Mid State Chief Operations Officer P.G. Bernheim said Mid State had completed Phase 1 of the project and was "waiting for Phase 2 and Perform's direction on it."

"I talked to (Performa's Vice President of Development) Cato Walker, (Pictured above) Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, and I feel optimistic about the situation," Bernheim said.

Walker admitted Performa owed Mid State money, but added that rumors were flying about the two companies' relationship.

"Positions have been made about our circumstances without anyone ever calling to see if those were true," Walker said. "We are working with the state and our lender to close out Phase 1, and we're paying Mid State the money that they are owed."

I will be contacting Mr. Kamikaze on Monday to inform him of how the City Of Memphis has been ripped off by Elkington and how the City Council wants to do a forensic audit on his company to if the money due Memphis can be found.

Prosecutor In The Case Of DeAunta Farrow Has Been Accused Of Being A Part Of A Cover Up In The Past

Willie Herenton Tells John Elkington "Hell Naw"

In a letter to John Elkington and also addressed to Randle Catron Director of Beale Street Development, Willie Herenton has told Elkington "Hell Naw' to his proposed budget. Elkington who says that Beale Street has never turned a profit and has not given the City of Memphis one dime in 25 years has the nerve to submit a budget to the city for approval.

Elkington who has disregarded his sublease contract with BSDC suddenly wants to add the organization to the budget. Why? because he knows that the mayor and the merchants on Beale want his ass gone. Elkington knows that his company Performa Real Estate and Entertainment can not stand the forensic audit that the city Council wants done to find out where the missing money from Beale Street happens to be.

The forensic audit would show where every dime has been spent on Beale and how much money Elkington has cheated this city out of. The audit would also show if Elkington has used Beale Street funds to finance his projects in other parts of the country. It is a known fact that Elkington's Beale Street office which he only pays $1.00 a year for has been used as the office for his projects in other cities. Also members of his staff that should be working for Beale Street have also worked on out of city projects.

Elkington has used Beale Street as his selling point to defraud, I mean solicit business in other cities around the country such as Trenton N.J., and Birmingham Ala. I wonder if he has told them that he's been promoting a lie? Surely he has not told the mayors of these cities that he has not been able to make Beale Street a success in the 25 years that he has managed the street. Do you think that these cities alone with Jackson Mississippi would even consider him if they really knew that he's a liar peddling a con game?

I wonder if he's also told these cities that his attorney, J. Richard Rossi who perhaps has handled his contract with the cities like he has with Memphis has had to turn in his law license for allegedly stealing millions of dollars from one of his clients. If Rossi would steal from his client is it a good chance that he has helped Elkington steal from the City of Memphis?

I also wonder if Elkington has told American Idols Rubben Stubbard,and Taylor Hicks that Beale Street has not been a sucess under his mangement,since he is trying to close deals with each of them to open fine eateries in Birmingham?

A packet of information from this site is being prepared for the mayors and councils of Trenton and Jackson Ms. Packets will also be sent to all the area newspapers in these cities alone with the management companies of both Stubard and Hicks. These cities must be warned that Elkington has lied to them about his success in Memphis,and should do like the mayor of Memphis and kick his ass to the curb. But then maybe Beale Street has been a success and Elkington has just stolen the money.

Mass Rally and March To Take Back Our History
planned for Saturday, December 8, Memphis




The battle for control of the National Civil Rights museum has now entered a crucial phase. The Bredesen Administration and Tennessee State officials will most likely decide in two weeks whether to sign a long-term forty year lease with the present Board that has allowed this historic site to deteriorate. We of the Lorraine Civil Rights Museum Community Oversight Committee started at the invitation of black Tennessee state legislators. We have been meeting and working now for several months on this issue.

During this time we have enlisted scores of community volunteers who have researched other national museums, reviewed what financial and other records the Museum Board has slowly made available, and we have set about to educate the community not to take for granted that this historic site of Dr. King’s death will always be ours.

Frankly, it almost slipped by our community that in February this year this Board was planning to buy the museum for a dollar after which a predominantly white, conservative and corporate controlled board would have had total control of this symbol of black struggle. When black legislators began raising questions about this impending state give-a-way, this Board quickly abandoned that plan. Instead they asked for a fifty year lease at no cost. More recently, in a grudging acknowledgment that the community is outraged by these finaglings with our history, the Board has now dropped its request from fifty to forty years of control.

It is bad enough that a conservative white businessman, Mr. J.R. Pitt Hyde, with no record of commitment to civil rights, has controlled this taxpayer-owned site for 16 years as chair of its Executive Committee. It is worse that blacks on the board have allowed themselves to be reduced to less than a majority in tightly controlled board elections where community representation is sparse and labor representation is completely absent. And worse still is that this is a board with no member who is generally known to have been active in social activism or civil rights advocacy in the sixteen years since the museum opened.

The Community Oversight Committee has already submitted its research data and proposals for change in the governance and structure of the museum to appropriate state officials and the legislative black caucus. Importantly the newly proposed board will be committed to also aggressively seeking city, county, state and federal operating support which has been missing up to now but is common in other cities civil rights facilities. The Community Oversight Committee proposals also provide that its new board will have a two thirds black majority, will organize specific ongoing programs to focus to help black and poor youth, and partner with other civil rights groups nationally to develop new civil rights strategies. This will be a new national and community board which will include corporate and government leaders but will be guided largely by individuals with current involvement in the ongoing struggle for black advancement.

There is no other place in the world as important to black America as this motel where another King of Kings was crucified. The future of who controls this motel and therefore black history will be decided in Nashville in two weeks. Those blacks in the Tennessee legislature who serve in office because of the sacrifices of Dr. Kings and other soldiers of our movement must now step forward and declare themselves on who they support to control this sacred site, us, or them? As black state officials on an issue so vital to the black world, surely their voice will be strong with the Governor and state officials who will decide the future of this treasure of our legacy.

But we cannot rest on faith alone. Those in the Memphis black community who have been saying quietly but encouragingly that we are right and they are with us must now come out into the light. You the citizens of this great community must now show that you are with us.

To that end we are planning a Mass Rally and March To Take Back Our History. The March will be planned to proceed from the Clayborn Temple to the Lorraine Motel on Saturday, December 8th at twelve noon. We have invited, and the following national leaders have accepted our invitation to lead this march and speak at the rally at the Lorraine Motel. Leading our march will be the son of the man this sacred site celebrates, Martin Luther King III. For too many years the King family has been rebuffed and this is an opportunity for solidarity. Alongside Martin the third will be Dr. Charles Steele, National President of the SCLC, the Atlanta based civil rights group Dr. King helped found, and led throughout his life. These two national leaders will be joined in Memphis by Rev. Al Sharpton, President of the National Action Network, Rev. C.T. Vivian, a historic figure in the Nashville Movement and in Dr. King’s Selma, Alabama campaign, and national black journalist George Currie. We expect other civil rights luminaries, veterans and current activists will also be coming.
