I'm a Republican, after years of being a Democrat. What caused me to see the greener grass on the other side of the fence was the bad-and-getting-worse Shelby County Democratic Committee in the late 70s and early 80s.
I am strongly pulling for Hillary. She will be the easiest to "swiftboat" in the November election due to her excessively bad baggage and two-faced husband. The conservative ranks are getting prepared to get the strong message of her unworthiness presented to the voting public.

Twenty years of the Clintons in Washington would make a buzzard gag. No wonder many of those in Washington such as Caroline and Ted Kennedy oppose even the thought of Hillary being a candidate for the general election.
Think about it Willie as President 1993-2001, then throwing his weight around as a candidate for senator, or as a senator even if she accomplished nothing, since that date. If she were elected as President, God forbide, that would be eight more years of the two of them. That alone would make that buzzard gag, but the buzzard would croak along with the country as this adds of to almost a quarter of a century of these two liars in positions of destructive power.
Moderate Conservative: (sorry for long article, but wanted to give everyone something to think about, when it's time vote. If you've lived any life, everyone has something.) I am an African American woman who feels that there will be issues that will affect the people in both a positive and a negative way, no matter who we vote in. When you are in politics, there are always underlying factors that aren't revealed to the people about each candidate, their donors and hot topics they (candidates), and those who financially assisted them will benefit from. It's politics and there are checks and balances. At this point, I'm not really viewing party, but candidates. There are concerns though with the top 5: 1. Remember the Whitewater issue with the Clintons. While all were crooked, several people were thrown under the bus, by the Clintons. Plus, Hillary Rodham Clinton and Bill Clinton made a $300,000 loan to convicted felon David Hale. Also, the Clintons have decided to exploit Bill as the closest thing we will get to an African American. 2. Barack raised by his mother and step-father as a Muslim extremist. He says he is now a Christian.??? Barack's "as he call him" friend, Rezko, who is presently under federal indictment for fraudulent schemes involving government officials and government funds. Obama has returned only $80,350 of the $168,308 he received from Rezko and those tied to Rezko's bundling network. But what about the house he purchased from Rezko at $300k undervalue. Is Barack going to sell it and give that money back? 3. Mitt Romney trying his best not to lie when factual information presented by Huckabee is known. Just like his dad, here's Mitt Romney marching in a Martin Luther King Day parade in Jacksonville, Florida. And just like his dad, here's Mitt quoting a line from the Baha Men, wondering jovially and entirely without context: "Who let the dogs out?" Followed up with an enthusiastically- barked "Whoo! Whoo!" Then, Romney also showed his street ignorance by telling a small child wearing a gold necklace, "Oh, you've got some bling-bling here." Romney debuted a new Spanish language ad title "Mi Padre", featuring the candidate's son Craig. In the spot, Romney himself chimes in with "soy Mitt Romney y apruebo este mensaje" (I'm Mitt Romney and I approved this message). Sadly, the former Massachusetts Governor has been an outspoken advocate of English-only in the United States. 4.* McCain criticized TV preacher Jerry Falwell as “an agent of intolerance” in 2002, but has since decided to cozy up to the man who said Americans “deserved” the 9/11 attacks. (Indeed, McCain has now hired Falwell’s debate coach.) * McCain used to oppose Bush’s tax cuts for the very wealthy, but he reversed course in February. * In 2000, McCain accused Texas businessmen Sam and Charles Wyly of being corrupt, spending “dirty money” to help finance Bush’s presidential campaign. McCain not only filed a complaint against the Wylys for allegedly violating campaign finance law, he also lashed out at them publicly. In April, McCain reached out to the Wylys for support. * McCain supported a major campaign-finance reform measure that bore his name. In June, he abandoned his own legislation. * McCain used to think that Grover Norquist was a crook and a corrupt shill for dictators. Then McCain got serious about running for president and began to reconcile with Norquist. * McCain took a firm line in opposition to torture, and then caved to White House demands. * McCain gave up on his signature policy issue, campaign-finance reform, and won’t back the same provision he sponsored just a couple of years ago. * McCain was against presidential candidates campaigning at Bob Jones University before he was for it. * McCain was anti-ethanol. Now he’s pro-ethanol. * McCain was both for and against state promotion of the Confederate flag. * And now he’s both for and against overturning Roe v. Wade. 5. We have the fifth top Presidential Candidate, who evryone is calling Huckabee 2.0, because Huckabee 1.0 no longer exists. Here's some of the views he has since flip-flopped on: As governor, Huckabee was more or less “compassionate” when it came to immigration. He supported in-state college tuition for children of illegal immigrants and he opposed an immigration raid of a poultry plant that led to the deportation of illegal immigrants. More recently, he endorsed Bush’s immigration policy, denounced in right-wing circles as “amnesty.” Huckabee insisted that he supports measures that “provide[s] a path for workers to become legal.” He denounced conservative critics of immigration reform, condemning them for being “driven by racism or nativism.”
Now, Huckabee has been Tancredo-ized. His new immigration policy vows to crack down on illegal immigration, close the borders, and deport all illegal immigrants within 120 days.
Frank Sharry, executive director of the National Immigration Forum, an immigrant rights group, said he was stunned last week when Huckabee released a new plan calling for all illegal workers to register with federal authorities and return to their native countries within 120 days.
Those who did would face no penalty under Huckabee’s plan if they later applied to immigrate to or visit the United States. Those who did not return home would be barred, when caught, from future reentry to the United States for 10 years.
“To me, it’s like night and day,” Sharry said. “One day he’s saying children of [illegal] immigrants should go to college, and the next day he’s saying there should be mass expulsion.”
Of course, it’s not a mystery. One day he a second-tier candidate with weak standing in the polls, and the next day he’s a credible challenger for the nomination.
I’d just add that Huckabee isn’t even subtle about any of this. Indeed, his new immigration policy is little more than an article National Review’s Mark Krikorian wrote a couple of years ago, except now it has Huckabee’s name on it. (In some instances, the plagiarism is so direct, the campaign didn’t bother to change some of the wording from Krikorian’s article.)
In the broader context, we’re looking at four main candidates who have to hope Republican voters forget all about their previous policy positions. May the best flip-flopper win.
In the spot, Romney himself chimes in with "soy Mitt Romney y apruebo este mensaje" (I'm Mitt Romney and I approved this message). Sadly, the former Massachusetts Governor has been an outspoken advocate of English-only in the United States. ____________________________
So how do you get your message out to Spanish voters who can't speak English? You speak in their language. Duh!
The passage of English as the official language will help empower these voters by expanding their opportunities.
How is what Romney done with this ad contradictory?
Just because one wants to make English the OFFICIAL language of the USA, doesn't mean that they're no longer allowed to speak in Spanish, especially to a group of people to whom you are trying to get a message to.
I'm definitely pulling and voting for Senator Obama. I'm an African-American, but more importantly and American. As an American, I simply think he is the best choice. As an African-American, I feel that the Clintons have used underhanded white superiority and think that we owe them something. Listen, Clinton camp we don't owe you a thing for doing some of the things you promised us. We are greatly appreciative but not indebted to you, ok. As for you old-school black elites and old-school elite black politicians who are throwing your weight behind her, I'm not upset with you. I understand why you are doing this. Some of you still have the indebted mentality and some of you are just plain envious and not ready for a black president yourselves. For example, Jacqueline Jackson (Jesse Jackson's wife) endorsed Hillary. Let's not forget people, she thought she would be the first African-American first lady. Thank you Jackie, you actually helped Obama and hurt Hillary. Most people in the white community don't respect you or your husband. And Obama needs a lot of the white vote. However, I think Jesse Jackson has done some great things. But he is simply not suited to be the leader of this country.
I personally think that none of the candidates on either side of this presidential race are as good as what we truly need. The Democrats are too liberal and the Republicans are too conservative.
Hey Mr.Thad! It's your blog and all but, I sure wish you would get rid of these long winded paste and copy goofs that cloud the thing up all day. (Kiddie porn sites must be down for the day or something.)

Black Mom Accused of Leaving Kids To Marry Man In Africa She Met On Internet
12:45 pm
(AP) - A woman accused of leaving eight children with little food and no money while she traveled to Africa to marry a man she met on the Internet has been arrested.
Shanell Monique Mosley, 33, was met by authorities as she got off an Air France jet Monday at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Harris County sheriff's spokesman Sgt. David Crain said Tuesday, January 29, 2008.
Charged with child endangerment and child abandonment for leaving the children in squalid conditions, Mosley was expected to have an attorney appointed for her at a Wednesday court appearance.
After the children were discovered alone in the home in early January, officials learned Mosley went to Nigeria to marry an Internet acquaintance.
When she left for Nigeria on December 31, Mosley told her 15 year-old daughter she would return in a month, child welfare officials said.
Prosecutor John Jordan said Mosley's six children, now in foster homes, were starving and her older children couldn't recall their own birth dates.
Mosley's children are ages 1, 7, 8, 9, 15 and 16, Jordan said. The other two children found in the home were 3 and 4 year-olds the family cared for on behalf of a single father who worked, Jordan said.
The 9 year-old son told authorities he and the baby ate a still-frozen pizza for breakfast the morning they were discovered home alone. There were no diapers, baby food or formula for the infant, no sheets on beds and fruit was rotting in a basket, Jordan said.

Go ahead get your racial jollies while you can. It was people like you who said that slavery would never end, intergration would never be, interracial relationships would never prosper and so on. You are so scared of change and the so-called destoying white supremacy. Please keep thinking small and you'll stay small, in mind, body, soul and finances. Whether or not Obama is elected, change is coming. You need to prepare yourself and stop hating people.
Wonder why the feds took so long to investigate Herenton? And even now they appear to be walking on egg shells by stating that they are looking into the minority contracts and that two include his "associates".
One thing is for certain, nobody gives another individual a $50,000. gift without reason of love or interest.
Herenton should have been investigated a long time ago. This is clearly an injustice to the white voters of Memphis and Shelby County.
"Conservatives/Republicans DO NOT wish for the days of slavery or Jim Crow laws. Just because that is what you believe does not make it a fact.br/> Exactly! We just need to get rid of that blasted affirmative action and secure our borders & we're good to go.
Unfortunately there will be votes for both Obama and Clinton for the wrong reasons. And much of it will be sowed by the Clinton's, two sorry humane beings.
There are going to be many Democrats who will be voting for a Republican this year. Many (yes, those ever so tolerant democrats) will never vote for a woman (especially one who is a certified witch) or a black person (being that white people are the majority in this country).
I can tell that you've been poorly educated. When I made those comparisons, I was simply making a point. You missed it by a long shot. I believe the proper phrase is not ever instead of not never. That's a double negative. Oh well, who am I kidding? You still wouldn't get it. It's like trying to teach a special person trigonometry. That's a metaphor, look up metaphor. No don't bother. Go back to your trailer park or cheap foreclosed home. Eat your bologna and beans for dinner. Don't forget the Budweiser. Obama for President!
Anon 2:31 A debate is pointless when one is arguing with a professional bigot. You don't know how to have a decent conversation without resorting to racial comments. You are a sad and miserable person.
Be not deceived, the military Industrial Complex will run things no matter who is elected. Liberal and conservative are code words with no real meaning.

The taxpayers have spent too many billions of dollars on freeloaders since Lyndon Johnson instignated the great society of aid to free loaders. With all this talk about taking care of the Mexican free loaders one can only wonder which will be more costly, the Johnson freeloaders or the Mexican freeloaders who they say are now equal in number to the Johnson freeloaders.

Hey 7:49, Nobody is saying that Bush and his people are the only liars. Let the chips fall where they may. I just wish the lying people were the ones that was made to do the fighting.
I DO MEAN EVERY ONE OF THEM.
"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them. That is our bottom line." --President Bill Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998
"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear. We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." --President Bill Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998
"Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face." --Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998
"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten times since 1983." --Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18, 1998
"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." Letter to President Clinton, signed by: -- Democratic Senators Carl Levin, Tom Daschle, John Kerry, and others, Oct. 9, 1998
"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." -Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998
"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies." -- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999
"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has reinvigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies." Letter to President Bush, Signed by: -- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), and others, Dec 5, 2001
"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and a threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandate of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and th! e means of delivering them." -- Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002
"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country." -- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002
"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." -- Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002
"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." -- Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002
"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..." -- Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002
"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force -- if necessary -- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." -- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9, 2002
"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction." -- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002
"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do" -- Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members ... It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." -- Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002
"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction." -- Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002
"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real..." -- Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

Matthews, this is all about your thread topic. Please stop deleting what you can't handle!
Barak Obama states emphatically that it is not about black and white. With out of touch Thaddeus Matthews, it's only about black and white.
Out of touch Thaddeus Matthews has an unauthorized plug for Barak Obama on this blog. If it follows that Thaddeus Matthews begins to post positively about Barak Obama, he will create a local problem for Obama on this blog, It wont harm Barak Obama beyond here since no one has any respect for what is posted here and Matthews has a very limited influence elsewhere.
Nevertheless, when Matthews starts texting for Obama there will be a hugh racist uprising based on the fact that is all that Thaddeus is capable of stirring up. Matthews has such little respect that the posters here will loose sight of the real issues and counter with the racist attitude that is so much a part of Thaddeus Matthews' playing field.
Obviously, Matthews will soon get the word to delete anything about Obama from this blog and Matthews will be given an urgent request that he not mention the name of Obama for the simple reason that his support on this blog would be the kiss of death for Obama, but only on this blog. Matthews has no influence on this blog. As a result of his predictable stupidity Barak supports would not want the name of Matthews associated with their candidate.

* McCain gave up on his signature policy issue, campaign-finance reform, and won’t back the same provision he sponsored just a couple of years ago.
* McCain was against presidential candidates campaigning at Bob Jones University before he was for it.
* McCain was anti-ethanol. Now he’s pro-ethanol.
* McCain was both for and against state promotion of the Confederate flag.
* And now he’s both for and against overturning Roe v. Wade.
5. We have the fifth top Presidential Candidate, who evryone is calling Huckabee 2.0, because Huckabee 1.0 no longer exists. Here's some of the views he has since flip-flopped on:
As governor, Huckabee was more or less “compassionate” when it came to immigration.
This contest is between Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee, because America will not elect a woman or negro president in 2008. So Matthews, stop dreaming.
It used to be that "12 things" goof and then that Thorne Pearson guy.......Ain't nobody interested in this idiocy. Tell them to get some Ex-Lax to help get rid of their headache problem. Bunch of low budget Donnie Discounts.
"I Gotz Mines!"
I agree, 1:09.
It'll be a real cold day in hell, the day a woman or a pale negro is president of the U. S. of A!
Let the libs have their jollies, now. Just remember, the two presidential miscreants are playing to the liberals in the demoncratic party.
Wait till either hits the real electorate ... and, the demoncrat voters have an option, other than a muslim negro or a PMS afflicted woman.
Admittedly, Bush is the worst thing that could have happened to the Republucans ... excepting, of course, if Gore or Kerry had been in office.
Either of these two running, practically insures a Republican victory!
More responsible parenting.

1:59,
You're right, change is on the way ... and, not in the direction you think.
It was people like you who said that slavery would never end, intergration would never be, interracial relationships would never prosper and so on.
Read my comment more closely, dumbass. I said a negro or woman would not be elected in 2008, not never.
You black racists and Thad fans have a habit of reading what you want rather than what actually appears.
Either one would be "batting practice" for Romney in a debate.
Conservatives/Republicans DO NOT wish for the days of slavery or Jim Crow laws. Just because that is what you believe does not make it a fact.
Until Democrats can prove to me that they are strong on national security issues, I will never vote for one again. Ever!
"Conservatives/Republicans DO NOT wish for the days of slavery or Jim Crow laws. Just because that is what you believe does not make it a fact.br/>
Exactly! We just need to get rid of that blasted affirmative action and secure our borders & we're good to go.
Everybody legal & a level playing field for all.
Hey 1:09 and 1:47
I can tell that you've been poorly educated.
Oh and you don't have to say more closely. It's simply closely. Now, who's the dumbass?
"It's like trying to teach a special person trigonometry.
... or, a negro algebra, eh?
Where's Prince Mongo when AMERICA needs him ??
obama & clinton are still catfighting today.
Calling each other bad names.
Anon 2:31
A debate is pointless when one is arguing with a professional bigot. You don't know how to have a decent conversation without resorting to racial comments. You are a sad and miserable person.
Hey man,
Yo said "special person". MCS is chock full of em! You brought up the math angle.
Facts are facts.
Be not deceived, the military Industrial Complex will run things no matter who is elected.
Liberal and conservative are code words with no real meaning.
The "Farmer" is laughing at the rhetoric.
obama & clinton are still catfighting today. Calling each other bad names.

"I served in the military under Clinton and the HIS CUTS greatly affected our ability to do our jobs."
I served under Carter and Reagan.
Whic one do you think I liked better for their support of the military ?
Your right, not that stupid, inept goofball of a peanut farmer.
Neither. I hope no one gets a majority of delegates and they have to pick a third choice as a compromise.
If you are a racist like Thad Matthews, he is begging for money to keep his racist cause going. Go for it if that is your thing!
Carol Chumney and Willie Herenton have endorsed Clinton.
Carol was honest about her reasoning; she would like to see a woman as President.
What is Willie's reasoning? Wasn't he trying to become 'a first' just a few years ago? Was he necessarily the most qualified? How soon some forget.
There are going to be many Democrats who will be voting for a Republican this year. Many (yes, those ever so tolerant democrats) will never vote for a woman (especially one who is a certified witch) or a black person (being that white people are the majority in this country).

Yea with the aid of "VOTER FRAUD"
The taxpayers have spent too many billions of dollars on freeloaders since Lyndon Johnson instignated the great society of aid to free loaders. With all this talk about taking care of the Mexican free loaders one can only wonder which will be more costly, the Johnson freeloaders or the Mexican freeloaders who they say are now equal in number to the Johnson freeloaders.
NEW SUBJECT PLEASE.
As near as I can tell, to be a liberal:
* You have to believe the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of funding.
* IF there is a church that is valid it has been pre-approved by the government.
* You have to be against capital punishment but for abortion on demand ... in short, you support protecting the guilty and killing the innocent.
* You have to believe that the same public school idiot who can't teach 4th graders how to read is qualified to teach those same kids about sex.
* You have to believe that everyone on the internet is a pervert BUT the school officials who want to do vaginal exams on your daughter without telling you have your best interest at heart.
* You have to believe that trial lawyers are selfless heroes and doctors are overpaid.
* You have to believe that guns in the hands of law-abiding Americans are more of a threat than nuclear weapons in the hands of the Red Chinese.
* You have to believe that global temperatures are less affected by cyclical, documented changes in the brilliance of the Sun, and more affected by yuppies driving SUVs.
* You have to believe that gender roles are artificial but being gay is natural.
* You have to believe that businesses create oppression and governments create prosperity.
* You have to believe that hunters don't care about nature but pasty, fey activists who've never been outside Seattle do.
* You have to believe that self-esteem is more important than actually doing something to earn it.
* You have to believe there was no art before federal funding.
* You have to believe the military, not corrupt politicians, start wars.
* You have to believe the free market that gives us 500+ channels can't deliver the quality that PBS does.
* You have to believe the NRA is bad, because they stand up for certain parts of the Constitution, while the ACLU is good, because they stand up for certain parts of the Constitution. You have to believe that taxes are too low but ATM fees are too high.
* You have to believe that Harriet Tubman, Cesar Chavez and Gloria Steinem are more important to American history than Thomas Jefferson, General Robert E. Lee or Thomas Edison.
* You have to believe that standardized tests are racist, but racial quotas and set-asides aren't.
* You have to believe second-hand smoke is more dangerous than HIV.
* You have to believe Hillary Clinton is really a lady and Rosie O'Donnell is not really a man who is jealous of Tom Selleck.
* You have to believe conservatives are racists but that black people couldn't make it without your help.
* You have to believe that the only reason socialism hasn't worked anywhere it's been tried is because the right people haven't been in charge.
Hey 7:49,
Nobody is saying that Bush and his people are the only liars.
