Marion Latroy Alexander Williams candidate for County Trustee has filed a lawsuit in Chancery Court against County Trustee Paul Matilla and myself asking for a permanent injunction to keep me from farther exposing his campaign lies that are a part of public record. Williams claims in his lawsuit where he is also seeking $500,000 in damages that Matilla conspired with me to damage his bid for office..
Williams claims that I have defamed and slandered him by publishing and broadcasting the fact that he owes the Trustee's office $67,000 in back taxes. But according to the Trustee's website this is a fact. In Section 5 of his lawsuit he states he does not owe the taxes,but if they are owed it's own by First Supreme Trust Company Inc. But state records show that Williams is the agent of record for the company. The address of First Supreme Trust a company whose charter was revoked because taxes were not paid to the state and the address that Williams is using as filed with the Shelby County Election Commission for his campaign are one and the same.
I have been urging my listeners not to be fooled by this self serving poli-trick-an who only agenda is his own. At every forum that Williams appears he brags about the fact that he loaned his campaign $250,000 one must wonder why he didn't take $67,000 by the tax office. I notice in his lawsuit he does not mention the other part of my statements about him. I have stated that he is a liar who is trying to deceive the community with signs all over the city,hoping that the signs will get him votes from a group that have not done the research on him.
I have stated to the listeners that Williams on his campaign signs claims to be "A REAL DEMOCRAT" but yet he's running as an "INDEPENDENT". Williams knows that I have a large listership to my radio talk show and thousands that view this site daily and does not want his deceit exposed.
I have also stated on air that the law in Tennessee states that even if a person is elected as Trustee he can not take office if he or she is not bondable. The Trustee must carry a bond of $24,775,000 dollars and must have good credit. As You can see Williams as had numerous Federal Tax Liens placed against him which would make it hard for him to get bonded.
I invite the July 8,2008 court date in Chancery Court Part 3, The day before the Shelby County Trustee's office has him in court for not paying his property taxes. In the coming days other information concerning Williams will be posted here including how instead of wanting to pay for advertisement he had one of his cronies, a grown man named "Pookie" attempt to instead offer me $5,000 not to expose him on the air. In fact on Monday I'll tell you all about it at 4pm on AM 990 KWAM.
Williams who calls me a journalist in his lawsuit should understand that the courts have no power to prevent the truth which is a part of public records from being told. He should also understand Freedom of The Press. Williams should also understand that as a public figure a differnt set of rules apply and that the truth has never been slander. Latroy the fight is on

My God. Being a registered agent doesn't necessarily mean you own a company and are responsible for its debts. It is a service one performs for a company but can have absolutely nothing to do with the company itself besides receiving correspondence on its behalf and forwarding it to them.

A "corporation" is a non living entity... that should have a board of directors and/or membership. The reason for an "Inc." after earning money is to limit personal liability.
