As I stated at the time of the Lester Street Massacre and I will repeat again I don't believe that one person committed all the murders. While I think that Jessie Dotson was present and don't believe he was all alone. 20 shots were fired according to the Medical Examiner's report as listed in the CA. Are we to believe that the victims watchedJessie Dotson shot one of the others and waited their turns to be killed?Jessie Dotson,Cedric's brother was shot 8 times, near the mouth,neck,chest, right thigh,left thigh,left foot. Hollis Seals was shot 3 times according to the report. Marissa Williams was shot 5 times,head, chest,left and right legs,
Shindri Roberson was shot 4 times,right and left thigh, head and chest. There is also a question as to whether or not Dedric Dotson RAPED Roberson prior to her death since her jeans were pulled down to her knees and underwear to her ankles. A plastic bag containing whats described as a "Hard Yellow Substance was found in the genital area.
It just does not make sense to me that no one cried out or ran out the house. Why did Dotson shot his victims so many times,why didn't he just shot every one in the head and just be gone. Is the stories of the Dotson brothers robbing the dope man the reason for these tragic deaths?
I THINK OTHER MEMBERS OF THE DOTSON FAMILY MAY JUST KNOW WHAT REALLY HAPPENED. BUT I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THE WORK OF ONE MAN

Thaddeus I must agree with you on this one. There is no way one person did this alone. That many adults in the house, someone would have bum - rushed Dotson. When your back is against the wall, you're going to try something. I do not believe he acted alone for one moment. If anyone belives this I have some property to sell them that I don't even own.
Thaddeus, I never believed that one person was involved with this, especially because there were 4 adults killed. There was no mention of the victims being tied up, and that is the only way it would seem, for one person to kill this this many adults.
Thaddeus, do you think that these reports were manipulated in order to preserve the real results for the trial? I mean, look at Shindri's report, again. It states to the effect that her jeans were pulled down to the knees, and her panties were pulled down around the ankles. It would seems that she had the panties on top of the jeans. Or do you think they made an error?
It is just so sad, and I hope all participants in this case are prosecuted. Even, those who are withholding information from the investigators, should be charged with something.
I remember asking you about them 2 days ago. I often think of those who have died, and I still pray for the surviving children. I even remember the man from the Lester street block, who said he always heard gunshots in his neighborhood, and even a day or two before the bodies were discovered. He said that was the reason he didn't call the police. I often wonder how does he feel now? But, Thad, it just seems that someone had to see somebody leave that house, after the shots were fired. It also seems like (since there weren't reports of the victims mouths being gagged), that someone had to hear screams of the adults or the children.

This has happend befor 1 man was said to have killed 7 people in a 2 story house in 1985 in Flint Mi. I didnt think he did it but the police sure put it on him . Not only were there so many adults but wasn't Cecil selling guns too? If someone started shooting, shouldn't someone have rushed to get a gun? Also, some of those shots were fired to parts of the body that wouldn't be fatal, so it sounds like torture to me. Someone wanted answers or revenge. I also wonder how this went on for so long and no one even bothered calling the police. Its just a strange case and I don't think the police are trying to get anything done.

Start reading the newspaper if you can. There are mass murders throughout the United States. If someone has a gun near you and shooting someone else, then you are the isolated hero if you step forward to disarm the shooter.
Dotso could have shot the victims as they approached him, then gone back and finished them off after shooting others.

personally, i dont see how it is unreasonable that he acted alone....if he is there gets in an argument a quickly puts a cap in both males, i dont think it is unreasonable to think that the females could panick and either just freeze up, or do what they can to protect the kids.
and while he did shoot 30 times or so, we are unsure of which order. Many shots could have been post mortem (unless it is stated otherwise and i am unaware of that). I would also like to know if there are more shot that missed the target and what type of gun was used. It should be simple for the police to see if more than one gun was used, which would allude to more than 1 attacker.
Personally, I think he did act alone, unless perhaps the other male was with him and he shot him, too.....who knows. This is a sickening tragedy.

A.) i spent a good portion of my childhood living at Claybrook & Henry. gunshots were a regular, but in any part of town, 20 gunshots in the same neighborhood, let alone the same house on a dead end street, would've been reported.
B.)also, as everyone else has mentioned, no one would ever just "wait their turn" to be beaten and murdered. that doesn't happen.

As far as police wanting "to whip ass now and then," that's not their job. If they would beat on people who commit these types of heinous crimes, that would be one thing. But usually, they seem to prey on the innocent, or beat on those who they think they can get away with it. I heard Jessie was downtown when he was charged along with the entire Family. They had them all in protective custody. Even Jessie...but they knew he was the one who did it. The Police was smart because they kept him close and had him once they got the statement from one of the young children who said Uncle Jessie did it. I think they knew all along Jessie did it because of his actions and NO sadness at all. He big this Gang Banger and all. You would think he would have been mad enough to go kill if someone had did this to his Brother and Children. He did not cry one tear and had no emotion at all. He just sit around with Nicole and the Mother looking crazy that entire week. the MPD had a good idea he knew more than he was saying. And Nicole is smoking her lights out.

what i listed in my comment about the law are facts not theories we will see who the fool is when they arrest new suspects!now usually i don't entertain straight up idiots....but maybe if i insult you back you'd atleast consider going to get your GED! not only am i still in law enforcement but i work as a crime scene investigator for the greater atlanta area(6yrs strong now) i'm a prn paramedic aswell and a single mother! you don't know me and i don't know you but i'm entitled to my opinion...however i'm not suprised of your distasteful comment you're just another lowlife lowclass memphian which explains why i'm no longer there! I watch this case on 1st 48.. it is sad for this to happen.. people we MUST PRAY... IF you didn't wacth this and how this happen all the way to jr.. saying that he tried killing the kids b/c they saw it.. this is wrong.. i hope everyone seen this... JUST PRAY>
I just saw this on First 48 as well. I was horrified that someone could do this to their family members. It tears me up. I don't know why this happened, but it's more to the story then what was presented on TV. I hope one day all involve will pay for their actions in the horrific crime.

I DO NOT BELIEVE JESSIE ACTED ALONE, NOT BECAUSE THERE WAS 4 ADULTS, BUT THEY FOUND CASINGS IN A ZIPLOC BAG FROM A .380 AND 9MM. ALSO, DIDNT THE 9 YEAR OLD SAY THAT THEY CAME IN AND STARTED FIGHTING IN A CIRCLE.
Have you ever fired an automatic or semi-automatic weapon? Do you realize that if you catch someone off guard you could spray down a crowd in literally seconds? This is 2008. We're not talking about a .38 caliber handgun where you have to shoot one bullet at a time and reload after 6 are spent. Although we may speculate and question some things, it is NOT impossible for one man to have done this. I was standing at a gathering with my children recently and we were discussing this. As I told them, if I pulled a gun and started shooting, their FIRST reaction would probably be to freeze in disbelief that it's even happening. Those few seconds of being in bewilderment could cost all them their lives as I "finish" the job.
Fact - Jessie admitted to the whole thing and even to his mother. If you think there was some kind of necrophiliac rape, what gang would stand for that? That goes against the GD blackout as described. Seriously. Think and get some REAL facts, not whatever coincidental "evidence" you think is there. You weren't there at the crime scene, you aren't professional investigators, stop forming your conspiracy theories.
Jessie Dotson admitted it to police, admitted it to his own mother, and surviving child identified the killer as Junior - which Jessie Dotson was known as to his family. The boy also identified no one else.
And for real - he pulled out a semi-auto piston. Have any of you here fired that? I can empty that very quickly, in a fit of rage. And in a small room with 4 adults, if I pulled that out and just shot wildly, you can bet that all 4 would be dead. They'd have no time to run and hide. They'd probably have time to hit the deck and pray. So yeah, 1 man can easily kill all 4 adults in that room with wild semi-auto shots. They wouldn't expect that to happen so they wouldn't be on guard. Seriously get a friggin brain or just plain shut up.
One person is more than capable of this murder. However, there's many questions I have.
1. There were two types of shell casings found. Was Jessie really carrying two different semi-automatic pistols? How did he afford such weapons considering he had recently been paroled and had no job? I doubt he could get that deep in the drug game on his own to acquire those weapons so quickly unless he were given help from someone else.
2. The fact that the knives used were kitchen knives suggests that their killer/attacker was not a professional. However, it would have been a lot of work for Jessie to carry around at least 3 different knives in addition to a piece of wood to attack the children with, then attack them all without any of them getting away. Perhaps they were asleep.
3. The first 48 episode indicates that someone was after Cecil's sister and called her from her own apartment after she had left. Who did this? Why would Jessie have done this? He would have been recognized if he did. Did this perhaps not really happen?
4. What were all these people doing at the house? Was Cecil a high-level drug dealer or just a lowly thug or user? Were the people involved high at the time? If so that could explain a lot. Was Cecil actually involved with the GD's recently and were they actually mad at him or was this a story wholly conceived by Jessie to divert suspicion?
