Those of you that feel that way should just vote for Joke Ford and continue making your race appear to be on the wrong side of the bars at the zoo. Even if Memphis returned to having a free zoo, no one would go and see the stupid poster above. You have to hand it to Matthews. He seems to be a real advocate of reviewing past performance insofar as a criteria in his decision for supporting a candidate. For sure, he leans to far backward in his support of an advertiser or a person of color, but then, we all have some bias.
You must believe that Thad would never vote for a person, or recommend a candidate without having studied the merits of that candidate. His yardstick is not your yardstick, but at least he has a yardstick.

Seems to me as if Tinker is a clone of Edmund Ford, Jr. Can anyone post what he ever accompolished that would make him a worth while member of the city council? Dumb ass Memhis voters that put Janis Fullilove, Edmund Ford, Jr. and Wanda Halibutt into public office with their sorry ass record of having elected the dozen or saw jail birds in the Tennessee Waltz and the Main Street Sweep.

I saw the grandma, southern advertisement of Tinker. (On Cahnnel 3) I think it was very weak. Know we are all educated that social security is still in existence, and the elderly anxiously await a check in the mail each month, with little grandchildren looking on, to pass this wonderful research down to their children, and their children's children. Mr. Cohen is acting and executing plans not sitting around watching. Tinker needs to go back where she came from and dream on.
I am not hating on a sister, but Memphians need a voice of reason, not "Tinker In Wonderland!"
Vote Tinker! Why? Because:
1. She is Black – The most obvious reason to elect her!
2. Only Blacks understand the needs of other Blacks – Goes without saying right?
3. Cohen is white – Thus evil and the enemy!
4. She wants the job – Always a good reason for seeking office whether qualified or not!
5. She has been in Memphis for 5 years – More than enough time to understand how Memphis works compared to her main opponents 30 plus years in the area!
6. She understands the needs of the community – She hasn’t really explained how though.
7. She has held political office and has experience – Uh oh, I’m wrong about that one!
8. She is great at debating her opponents and slaughters them every time – Well, not really! But so what? Most men watching the debate thought about how good she might be in bed so it’s all good! The women, well….
9. Has endorsements from other prominent politicians – I guess so if you mean Walter Bailey and Henri Brooks?
10. She is petite and somewhat cute with long hair – The long hair may be a weave but it’s hers because she bought it!
11. A lot of men on this blog would “hit it” if they could – A little crass but true!
12. She will give the 9th District a voice in Congress – Steve Cohen never says anything about Memphis when he is up there!
13. She volunteers to help the needy and unfortunate almost daily in the 9th District – Well, maybe weekly if the press is going to be there.
14. The young black men going to jail know that Nikki is working hard to keep them out of jail and give them opportunities to excel in school and in their future endeavors. Plus, she often visits them at 201 Poplar to understand their plight and to offer her support and give them hope for the future – This is a total fabrication but I’m giving her credit for it because she will do it at some point!
So vote early and often for Nikki! Bring your dead Uncle/Aunt/Whoever to the polls too! The more the merrier!
