White Crooks Get Better Deals Than Black Crooks

Bruce Thompson was able to use his political influence to swindle a company out of $270,000,admitted he lied on school board members causing them to take on the expense of hiring lawyers,and yet he's able to cut a deal to only go to prison for one year.

Thompson was able to use his political influence to garner more money than any of the blacks caught up in Tennessee Waltz but the government was willing to slap him on the wrist plus allow him to keep the money. $270,000 is not bad for a a years vacation.

Ward Cruthfield is old and sick but he used his influence and violated the public trust but he's told that he can be under house arrest,in fact the federal judge states that He's not likely to commit the crime again, But how many times in the past has he committed the crime in the past? Are we to think that this was Cruthfield's first time of accepting a bribe? But Katheryn Bowers who is old and sick goes off to prison.

Many whites wonder why Blacks don't trust the judicial system or whites period,just look at recent events and the answer is plain. Any public official that violates the public trust is wrong and should all be dealt with equally. But it seems that White crooks get better deals than black crooks. Whites are excited that John Ford has been given 60 days to report to prison but many find excuses for the likes of Thompson.

There is no doubt that John Ford was wrong, but it seems that no one wants to remember all the good that he did for his district. No other public official has spoken out about how much money that he has brought into not only his district but this county. They won't speak out about how he helped them secure legislation and funding for projects out of his district that they didn't have enough clout to do themselves. So John goes off to prison for 5 years while Thompson gets a year and old ass Cruthfield gets to stay at the house. I guess John now knows that no matter how white he looks, it's not the same as really being white.

On today's "Express Yourself" I will be discussing the very controversial subject of Freemasonry. The show will be entitled "Can A Mason Be A Christian?". The show will deal the facts of Freemasonry that are totally against all that Christians believe.

Kenneth Whalum Is Posturing To Run For Mayor

It's been known now for several years that Kenneth Whalum Jr. has plans to run for mayor of memphis. It was revealed during his first run for City Council that he was testing the waters for a mayoral bid and that he has a committee in place for such a purpose.

Whalum's damn fool rant about only a Black man should head the Memphis City School system is a ploy to see if Blacks in the city will support his idea that borders on insane. With this system failing in many areas the system needs whoever has the best plan to educate our children, administrate the system,and stop employees from stealing from the taxpayers.

No person with good sense is going to buy into this idiots plan,or fall for his marketing concept to make the news. Kenneth Whalum is using the school system and our children as a stepping stone to the mayor's office.

Whalum knows that there are other Black men who have made it known that they want to be mayor such as Thomas Long and James Harvey so he's trying to come out the gate early by testing the Black community feelings for him with this selfish,self serving, ignorant, damn fool statement. This is the same man just several weeks ago in his first attempt at being a damn fool that stated that we need to close the system down. But when he and some of his followers were fighting at Olivet and he dethrone his father and took over the church he didn't close down the church.

Kick Boxing Champ And Businessman Racially Profiled

Former 5 time Kick Boxing Champion of the world and Memphis businessman Anthony "Amp" Elmore on last time was stopped by a Shelby County Deputy Sheriff on the pretense that his taillight was out. The officer at first would not tell Elmore what he was being stopped for.

Elmore ask the officer to call his supervisor to the scene which only made matters worse. The supervisor who is the brother of State Representative Larry Miller did not question why the officer stopped Elmore for a tail light being out when it could plainly be seen that there was no problem with the light at all.

The champ feels as though he was racially profiled by the white officer and the supervisor had to follow the color of blue and not have a concern for the rights of a citizen. Elmore sent Sheriff Mark Luttrell an email stating that he plans to file a complaint. Posted is that e-mail and a response from the Sheriff's office

Re: Formal Complaint of Racial Profiling and being stopped without probable cause and lack of examination by a supervisor

Dear Sheriff:

How are you? I last spoke to you on October 15, 2008 at Brad Martin’s home as we among others who were there to meet President Bush and Senator Lamar Alexander. Brad and Diana invited me and my wife Bogalech to the event as their personal guest.

On tonight Monday February 25, 2008 an officer Beck stopped us near Riverdale Road and Holmes road. I asked the officer why I was stopped and he told me that he would tell me later. I explained to the officer that I was a strong citizen with an impeccable reputation in our community and I happen to have a brochure with myself and Congressman Cohen on the picture.

The officer told me that my left brake light was out and I simply asked to see the light so that I could correct the matter and I was told to stay in the car. Since there was no need for alarm I asked the officer to call his supervisor since my wife had just purchased the car and it had just passed inspection.

When Supervisor Miller arrived on the scene he asked me did I know him and I told him I know most Shelby County Sheriffs and just because I did not know his first name I did know him and more than likely he would know me. Officer Miller insulted me and accused me of subtle intimidation. The fact is that I do know Larry Miller and I was told by Randy Wade that he trained officer Miller . The issue that I challenged officer Beck on was the issue of probable cause and Supervisor Miller and an other squad car overlooked the fact that I did not have a brake light out and Officer Miller would not acknowledge the fact that I was stopped for improbable cause and Racial profiling. It was Officer Miller’s duty to point out to me that I indeed had a mal-functioning brake light; instead he chose the “Good old Boy” network to stand behind an officer whether he was right or wrong for stopping me.

I understand that a citizen has a right to call for a supervisor when he is unjustly stopped and this is a clear cut case of injustice. This letter is an official letter of complaint and I am taking this matter to you personally. During my conversation I kelp my cell phone on and I have a witness regarding this matter.

As a concerned citizen this County should not have Racial Profiling and this letter is to bring this matter to your attention. We are also copying this letter to County Mayor Wharton and to our county Commissioners. This office would like to know why supervisor Miller would allow an unjust improvable stop and they are the ones who intimidated me and causing my wife to cry.

Medical Examiner Says OCU Officer Shot 18 Year Old In The Back

A little after 10 pm on December 13,2007 police say that 18 year old Timothy Jones ran from the side door of a duplex at the corner of Claybrook and Henry, moments later he lay dead a half mile away in the front yard of 1374 Vollintine under a MPD SUV.

What's troubling about the death of Jones at the hands of OCU officer Frank Hannah is that Terry Bowen a friend of Jones states that he had dropped Jones off at his girlfriend's apartment at Vollintine and Watkins some 15-29 minutes before he himself was harassed by OCU officers in front of the duplex on Claybrook where he lives. If what Bowen states is true there is no way that Jones ran out the side door of the duplex,and neither could he had been present on Claybrook at the time.

Another point that makes it so hard to believe that Jones ran out of the side door of the house on Claybrook is that the door that police state he ran out of has been nail shut from the inside for a period of time due to repairs being made. Also why would Jones be in a house at 10pm in December that had no utilities on?

MPD states that he ran firing shots at them,but what reason did he have to shot at them? If he was at the duplex on Claybrook the OCU officers were dealing with Bowen on the outside. Had the MPD needed to go inside of Bowen's house,he lived next door not in the side where they state Jones ran from. So there was no need for Jones to run from the police at all.

MPD states that as he was running the half mile that he took the time to stop running and walk up to a police car and attempt to shot an officer sitting in a car and that's when Hannah shot Jones. Now the police want us to believe that a person running from the police would stop and try to shot an officer inside of a car instead of continuing to run. What would that officer in the car be doing? surely if there is a chase going on that that officer is on alert and listening to the radio as officers state which way the suspect is running. And even if it happen the way MPD states how was he shot coming through the cut at the rear of Fellowship Church and end up under the MPD SUV some 30-50 feet away?

Witnesses state that they heard four shots and a crash,witnesses also state that Hannah was shooting out his window at Jones. With Jones body being under the SUV and looking at the abrasions on his body it appears that the SUV ran over Jones. The 75 year old occupant of the Vollintine address states that police made her go back in her apartment but she could see them outside her window looking for a gun.

Terry Bowen states that while he and the occupant of his car were being questioned by police and them placing him in the back seat of a police car he and the officers on the scene on Claybrook including Hannah heard shots being fired,but Bowen states that the shots were coming from Alma street the next street over to the west. Bowen states that the shots were so close that both he and the officers ducked. That's when Bowen states that Hannah took off never seeing anyone exit the apartment that both he and the officers were in front of.

It is believe by witnesses that Jones had made it to his girlfriend's home and for some reason came back outside. Having a warrant for missing a court date saw Hannah in the MPD SUV racing up the street and attempted to run to his apartment to keep from being stopped and questioned and Hannah started to shot at him and then gunned his motor and ran him down.

After reviewing the Medical Examiner's report It shows as the witnesses stated that Jones was shot four times with one of the shots hitting him in the back. MPD has stated that Jones was pointing a weapon at Hannah but if he was pointing a weapon how was he shot in the back? The shot to his neck is also a entry from the rear. Two shots hit him from the front and two from the rear, plus being ran over by the SUV,wasn't this abuse of excessive force?

This shooting was ruled justifiable but based on what? There are to many questions in this shooting for this ruling,such as How could Jones run out a door that was boarded from the inside? How was he able to get a half mile away? Why would Jones be inside an apartment in December with no shirt on and with no power? Why would Jones be shooting at the police in the first place? Why would Jones if he's running to get away from the police stop to point a gun inside the car of another officer and who was that officer? And How did Jones body get under the SUV? Did Jones have a gun at all? And why wasn't it ever reported that Jones body was under the SUV?

Great Time At U Of M

My thanks to Mr. Joseph Hayden and his students for allowing me to come to the campus of U of M to discuss "Should Bloggers Be Considered Journalist". There were great questions and such excellent answers by myself. Mark Stansbury Assistant to Dr. Shirley Raines and a noted radio personality for WDIA radio was present, and a former student Mike Erskine who now reports for the CA. I hope to be able to return and do it again.

SIDENOTE: One of the students happens to be an intern at WREG TV and stated to me that reporter Brian Kuebler stated in one of their meetings last week that Bloggers are not journalist and that I should not be allowed to appear before a class of future journalist without a real journalist present to debate me. He stated to the student that he wish he had the time to do it himself.

Brian my answer to you is very simple,as I stated to you last Monday at the Dexter Cox hearing when you tried to tell me what needs to appear on my site that many reporters like yourself are cowards who have a fear of asking the tough questions, and reporting on certain power brokers in this community.

Herbert Wooten Case Has A Funny Smell To It

Herbert Wooten was shot outside his Frayser home on October 25,2007. His wife was shot inside the house through the door. The MPD had no suspect until after the death of Lt. Ed Vidulich on January 28,2008. Now police say that Dexter Cox as in the case of Vidulich is the killer of Wooten as well.

But is Cox really the killer or a pawn in the game being played by Larry Godwin and his OCU goons? (Organized Clean Up Crew).

The case of Cox killing Vidulich has to many holes in it and likely end up with the charge of first degree reduced,thus Godwin's Goon Squad has to create a strong case in the other murders if they want to get Cox to death row.

It is well known that on the night of October 25, 2007 Herbert Wooten was shot OUTSIDE his home,and his wife was shot through the door of their home. Sources within the police department state that she has never been able to ID the shooter in the past. So why now is she able to ID Cox? very simple answer because the Organized Clean Up Crew wants her to.

After the death of Cox I'm told that unsolved homicides close to both the homes of Cox and Vidulich were looked at to see if Cox could have been the killer in other cases. There were two cases that were close,Herbert Wooten and Gwendolyn Cherry. To get the effect that Godwin wanted for the death of his friend a picture had to be painted that Cox was such a brutal killer that not only did he kill Ed Vidulich in cold blood but also Cheery and Wooten. He had no idea that I had a copy of Cox's statement that claims self defense which has punched holes in his theory that Vidulich was killed in cold blood so he has to move on to use the Wooten case at his railroad to death row for Dexter Cox.

The Organized Clean Up Crew after Dexter Cox's picture had been plastered all over the news and in the newspaper had her do a PICTURE LINE UP where she was to pick out the picture of the killer of her husband. Seeing that she has never in the past been able to give police a description of the killer and seeing that she was shot inside the house her ID of Cox from a picture shown to her by friends of Vidulich will be a problem in a courtroom.

And if the shell casings from the gun that killed Vidulich match the shell casings found at the scene of Wooten's death match why was a PICTURE LINE UP needed? Is it because the casings don't match at all and can't be used in court? By the way I have some information about the shell casings that I will reveal at it's proper time, but first I need to see what MPD is going to produce when it comes to shell casings as evidence.

Attorney Claiborne Ferguson has no concerned about statements that police claim that Cox gave concerning the death of Wooten because a conviction can not be based on a statement but evidence. There is no telling what type of duress Cox was placed under when homicide detectives were removed from the case and Larry's Goon Squad took over. So I hope The Goon Squad has more than just a picture line up to base there case on. By the way Larry, Ferguson has the right to have the weapon and casings retested by a source that does not have a conflict or a interest in seeing Cox go to death row. The MPD case on connected Cox to this murder is just as weak as the Vidulich case, because I know............... I'll wait until the proper time to reveal that.

Coming Tomorrow: According To Medical Examiner's Report OCU Officer Shot Timothy Jones In The Back

On December 13,2007 Timothy Jones was shot by OCU officer Frank Hannah for POINTING a gun at him. Police claim that Jones was firing at them as he ran from a side door at a house located at Claybrook and Henry but died some six or more blocks away in a yard on Vollintine under the police SUV being driven by Hannah.

It is a known fact as I have shown on this site that the door that Jones was supposed to have ran out of was boarded from the inside. Witnesses also state that Jones had been dropped off on Vollentine and could not have been on Claybrook.

Tomorrow I will discuss the fact that Timothy Jones was not the person at the house on Claybrook if there was one,and that he was ran over by the SUV that Hannah was driving. Also I will prove that there is no way that Timothy Jones was POINTING a weapon at Hannah seeing that according to the Medical Examiner's report Jones was shot in the back.

Cox's Attorney Says "Bring It On"

Even in light of new charges filed against Dexter Cox his lawyer Claiborne Ferguson says "Bring It On". The Memphis Police Department knowing that their case against Cox in the case of Ed Vidulich is very weak has decided to throw another log on the fire,but the question is can the evidence support the charge.

Police state that they have a statement from Cox but which statement is it? Is MPD selecting only the statements that they think will suit their needs? They state falsely that the statement I posted was only a draft but Claiborne and any other defense attorney will tell you there is no such thing as a draft. It is what it is, and it's up to the Prosecutors to prove their case based on evidence not a statement that may have been coerced after Homicide detectives were removed and OCU took over.

I'm sure when this case goes to trial that all the statements will be presented,and detectives will be asked which one they decided to be the real one. Proof will also be presented that detectives in the Vidulich case were told to suppress certain details and evidence.

As for Barbara Wooten who was a loving and devoted wife of 32 years to Herbert Wooten the question must be asked if the black male she saw really was Cox. If she selected his picture out of a lineup it was after his picture was plastered all over the news. there is proof that Barbara Wooten was never interviewed until after Cox picture had be shown in all news mediums. Is it possibe that OCU officers coerced Barbara Wooten into naming Cox as the shooter? Is it possibe that this devoted wife just wants her husband's death avenged and with OCU presenting his picture to this elderly woman does she really know who shot her and her husband?

So as Attorney Ferguson says convictions can not be based on statements but evidence,so the question is can MPD provide the real evidence,and does MPD know what others know about the cases that they think no one knows about? Hmmmmmmm, these cases are about to become very interesting and full of surprises.

Godwin Is Using Good Paint But Sloppy Painters

Even though Larry Godwin and his clean up crew is in full cleanup mode and now is leaking information to the press,there dog still won't hunt. Attorney Claiborne Ferguson the attorney for Dexter Cox is totally unaware of any statement where Cox admits killing Gwendolyn Cherry and Herbert Wooten.

The police now state that the statement by Cox is a lie and that he never threw the .40 cal Sig into the Mississippi River,but yet was told that he gave the guns to his stepfather Eric Williams. However two guns were found at the home of Vincent Clifton two blocks down the street. At the Clifton resident two guns including a .40 cal Sig were supposely found by police.

But I noticed that the CA did not report the fact Clifton also was suspected of committing the murder,in fact he listed on the General Sessions site which is not the norm for just a witness. Is it possible that Clifton who has a record of his own is being used as a part of Godwin's cleanup? Since the .40 cal Sig is the weapon used by the MPD how are we to know that #PAV8789 really belonged to Ed Vidulich? And if it does how can that weapon be tied to the murders in October seeing that it was used and stolen in January? I must also ask again if what the MPD is purposing is true why hasn't charges been filed?

In Godwin's press conference on Febuary 3rd he claimed that preliminary tests showed that the same weapon killed Vidulich,Cherry,and Wooten. He also thanked the TBI for there swift help. But how can this be true when Clifton was only brought in on Febuary 2,2008? How could there be gun test results so quickly? Also why is Godwin was so sure that Cox committed the crime when both Clifon and Eric Williams were suspects even after there so called statements from Cox?

The report that the CA gave about the record of Eric Williams is true but here's what was left out Williams was arrested twice by the police. On Febuary 2,2008 the same day that Clifton was brought in Williams was arrested for public intox after parking his car at M&M Bail Bond. OCU stated that as he got out of his white Jeep he was unsteady on his feet and swerving from side to side. When he was checked by DUI his blood alcohol level was a .000, meaning he had no alcohol in his system at the time. It's also strange that his release sheet states that he was being held for murder. I must ask why was OCU following Williams? Godwin's goons used this false DUI charge as a way to get him in custody. They were aware that he was on his way to 201 Poplar to pick up Stephanie Williams Dexter's mother.

Williams has been charged as a felon in possession of a weapon,which will did in the courts because he was not caught in possession of a weapon but the charges are based solely on the statement of Vincent Clifton,and the statement of William's father. A conviction can not be based on a statement but evidence.

If Attorney Ferguson is not aware of statements from his client concerning his role in the murders of Wooten and Cherry,then what we have is Godwin's goons on a clean up mission. Godwin by LEAKING certain information to the CA wants to paint the picture that I have been wrong about what is going on in this case,and to take the focus off the pictures of ed and his wife having strange sex but it's not going to work.

It has taken Godwin and his goons two weeks to put this story together but there are still holes in it and many unanswered questions such as. Why did Gayle Vidulich allow Cox into her home without her husband being present? Was there a relationship between Vidulich prior to the Friday night visit? Cox claims that Vidulich came at him with a knife is there a knife shown beside his body in the crime scene pics? Is the .40 cal Sig found at Clifton's home the weapon used to kill Vidulich. if so how does this weapon connect to the other murders,and if this is Vidulich's service weapon how is it even possible to suggest that the same weapon was used in all three of the killings? If all that is said is true why hasn't charges been filed? And why was the computer at Ed's home taken from the resident and what was found on the hard drive?

The mother and wife of Vidulich have been seened often in and out of 201 Poplar,in fact someone rode up with them yesterday as they got off on the 12th floor with a large folder going into Godwin's office. Godwin you're doing a good job of trying to paint a picture but your painters are sloppy.

Answer me this: Why if Vincent Clifton was booked by MPD for the murder of Ed Vidulich and the so called murder weapon was found at his house why were the charges dropped? There's a better connection to Clifton being the murderer than Cox.

Citizens Are Being Tricked Again

The whole conversation about Bass Pro or Greg Ericson taking over the Pyramid is much to do about nothing. Maybe our County Commissioners and City Council members have forgotten that they have already given the building away. When Willie Herenton,Jim Rout, and both the council and commission were so anxious to get the Grizzlies to come to memphis they gave him first right of refusal on any event not to be held in the pointed dome along with a clause in their contract that gives the Grizzlies a way to end there agreement with Memphis earlier than 10 years and move out.

In the contract that our great leaders made with Michael Heisley they agreed to maintain the Pyramid as a second arena for the team in the event there was any reason that a game could not be played in the FEDEX Forum. There is still several years left on that agreement. So with this in mind there is no way that the Pyramid can be sold, leased, or used for anything other than an arena without paying off Heisley.It is rumored that Heisley is wanting out of the Grizzlies and Memphis,and with this breach of contract Heisley is being given an out to sell his team and move out of Memphis.

So what we have been viewing between members of the council and commission is a political show filled with smoking mirrors. There is no way that I will believe that the Council and the commission is not aware of the agreement between them and Heisley. Neither Bass Pro or Ericson can move into the Pyramid without the permission of Heisley because to aquire this team that forever loses The city gave Heisley the keys to the city.

The question must be asked, has some members of the County Commission and the City Council cut a back room deal with Heisley to push through a deal with either Bass Pro or Ericson so that he can get out of his agreement with the city and county and sell the team to another city.

The problems concerning the Pyramid fall at the feet of Willie Herenton and Jim Rount and any poli-trick-an who supported spending over $250 million to build an arena for a team that can be beaten by any neighborhood group of young men.

Sharpton Comes To Town to Meet And Preach

Rev. Al Sharpton was in Memphis today for several hours to further put the plans together here in Memphis for the convention of the National Action Network to be held out of New York for the very first time. The convention which will bring thousands from all over the country including mega celebrities and entertainers will convene April 2-5 2008.

The convention is being brought to Memphis this year to honor the 40 years since Martin Luther King Jr. was slain on the balcony of the Lorraine Motel.

National radio personalities Michael Baisden,Steve Harvey,and Tom Joyner will be broadcasting their shows from Memphis on April4th. I will also be broadcasting my show live on that date also. Rev. Sharpton met this morning with Beverly Robertson Executive Director of the National Civil Rights Museum. The children of Martin Luther King Jr. will also be present for the event.

Before flying out of Memphis today Rev. Sharpton preached at the weekly meeting of The Baptist Ministers Association,where the nearly 100 ministers present stood in admiration as Sharpton preached from the text "He Loves Me To". There is a press conference planned soon where Mayor Willie Herenton will announce that the convention will be one of the largest events since the Lennox Lewis-Mike Tyson fight. 12 Year Old Plays Role In Her Mother's Death

We now know that the dismembered body found in Mississippi several days ago belongs to Charlene Gaiters who was killed by her ex-husband and at the time of her death her live in boyfriend James Hawkins aka James Thomas. But what the local media has not told you is who else was involved,and what really happened on Saturday February 9,2008.

According to LEAKERS within the Memphis Police Department and other sources here's what has not been told. In 1999 Hawkins was sentenced to 15 years in prison for a string of crimes including robberies,assaults,and drug charges. However he was pardoned recently.

On January 29,2008 Charlene Gaithers filed a Order of Protection against Hawkins but the order had not been served because even though he was living with Gaithers at there apartment at 2605 Prince Rivers #4.

It would seem that once Hawkins name was placed in the system for any violent act his parole would have been revoked but that did not happen,which may serve in part as a reason for Charlene'svery violent death.

James Hawkins and Charlene Gaithers are the parents of 12 year old Keyuna Thomas. Sources state that Hawkins was involved in an incestuous relationship with his daughter,and that she played an active role in the dismemberment of her mother's body after watching her mother be stabbed and choked to death.

Reports state that on Febuary 9,2008 Hawkins stabbed Charlene in the neck,and after stabbing her choked her to death as Keyuna looked on. I'm told that Charlene cried out for her daughter to help or call 911 but the child never made a move to assist. After Charlene was dead Hawkins decided to dismember her. It's stated that Keyuna held her mother's head in place as Hawkins cut it off.

After Hawkins cut off the head, hands,and feet of Charlene,the body parts were placed in bags and placed in the freezer. Keyuna is stated to have helped Hawkins clean up the bloody apartment,even going as far as to cut out portions of the bloody carpet in the apartments and bleaching the pieces and glueing the pieces back in place.

When I thought I had heard everything this takes the cake. What could make a 12 year old decide to become intimate with her father or was the decision the choice of the father? and what is it that he could tell her to make her standby and watch her mother be killed? While she may not be responsible for her father's behavior,she certainly knew it what was taking place was wrong

Mother Says That Big Ed Got In Shower With Her Son

I spoke tonight with a woman who states that her son told her that Lt. Ed Vidulich got into the shower with him at the Vidulich home. Ms. R. Deaver who stated to me that she does not mind her name being used on this site states that her son told her nearly two years ago when he was 18 about the incident.

Ms. Deaver is the first to admit that her son has lived a troubled life,living at times from pillow to post and using crack cocaine. But after hearing of the death of the police officer and hearing stories of his involvement with young boys not only did she think what her son had told her might be true she contacted Crimestoppers thinking that maybe her son could be responsible.

Ms. Deaver states that her son Elliot at one time lived above the Road House Bar where Vidulich was known to frequent. She goes on to say that on an evening that her son was supposed to carry her out to dinner he was frustrated over the fact that he was broke because the guy that he had done some brake work for hadn't paid him,and that the man had made sexual advances toward him.

Ms. Deaver states that Elliot stated that a man he called "Big Ed" had hired him to work on a small dark blue or black truck and that "Big Ed" was not pleased with his work and refused to pay him. In fact he stated that Ed had told him that he was not going to get paid until he did the work correctly. Ms. Deaver states that her son was told by Ed to go take a shower and get clean. Elliot got in the shower but moments later according to what he told his mother Ed enters the shower with him, at which time he protests and gets out. Elliot states that Ed got out of the shower also but asked the young 18 year old to spend the night which he did.

Ms. Deaver states that her sons is completly homophobic and does not understand why he stayed the night. She feels that her son did not tell her the whole story about what happened that night. Ms. Deaver goes on to say that Elliot states that when he woke up from his sleep he looked on the computer screen in the room and it had him sucking on a man's penis. Elliot told his mother that Ed must have Photoshopped the picture because one of his tatoos had been removed and that he never placed a man's penis in his mouth.

Ms. Deaver who is white does not want to see Dexter Cox charged for the wrong crime and neither does she want to destroy the reputation of Ed Vidulich but she feels that she must do the right thing after hearing from various sources that Vidulich had made sexual advances toward young boys and prehaps thats what happened the night he met with Cox at his home

Dexter Cox Now Has Legal Representation

Dexter Cox who in his confession to Detectives of the Memphis Police Department states that he killed Lt. Ed Vidulich after the officer came at him with a knife will return to court tomorrow at 9AM with legal representation.

Attorney ClaIborne Ferguson of the Ferguson-Sargent Law Firm has been retained to represent Cox. Ferguson was formally an associate of one of the biggest criminal defense lawyers in Memphis, Attorney William Massey. Here's some info on Ferguson:

Mr. Ferguson graduated form Rhodes College (B.S. Biology, 1992) and attended Mississippi College School of Law. While at MCSOL he represented the school in National Moot Court Competitions and was on he editorial board of the MCSOL Law Review. He was awarded a full scholarship, was the top December Graduate and graduated with honors (Magna Cum Laude) overall. The majority of his practice has been devoted to criminal law and police misconduct (with experience in civil litigation, legal malpractice personal injury and real estate law). He is certified as a DUI technician. He is an attendee of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers' "Superhero of DUI Defense" and "Making the Case for Life, VI."

I'm sure that the confession of Cox will play a very important role in this case. I must also wonder if Bill Gibbons will allow the first degree murder charge hold knowing that the confession shows that the charge should be less.

The police have the power to charge you with whatever they want but it's gibbons job to make sure that that charge is based on evidence not the wishes of a Police Director.

The Leak Investigation Is A Joke

The whole idea of investigating for leaks in the Memphis police Department has been a joke and a farce. The Security Squad ordained by Larry Godwin has not been able to turn up a thing. The squad has checked fax and copying machines with no results, they have their suspicions about certain officers being the source but have no way of proving it.

Godwin has no idea who in the department who the sources are and by now should realize that there in nothing that he can do about information getting out of 201 Poplar. Godwin has more officers against him and his administration then he could ever imagine and that thoe officers have made up their minds that they want himgone by any means.

Officers tell me that moral is the lowest that it has ever been and that the director surrounds himself with his goon squad to help protect his image. The Homicide division who has to work on cases that are not just personal to Godwin find themselves tormented by the fact that the director removed season homicide investigators off the Ed Vidulich case and replaced them with Jeff Clark and Paul Sherman. It is belived that there are plans to move Black detectives Tony Armstrong and Ron Collins out of the division and to create a whole new investigative unit.

The officers also feel that their concerns are of no interest to the mayor unless it's election time and he needs their votes. Many of the officers know that Dexter Cox has been falsely charged with first degree murder and is being railroaded by the director who is seeking revenge and a scape goat in the murder of his friend. These same officers allege that Godwin gave a directive to Lt. Mark Miller to suppress certain information from the case. But the director needs to know that all the info was not suppressed but that several persons have copies of that information that will be used at the proper time.

Now that Dexter Cox has an attorney and its known that there is evidence that shows that the shooting of Vidulich may have been self defense all avenues will be used to prevent Cox from going to death row. All the information at my disposal has not been used,but will be at it's proper time. The idea of stopping the flow of information out of 201 Poplar is one that is designed by those who have something to hide,or those who have plans to design justice to fit their own self serving agenda,

Bill Gibbons has no plans of proceeding with his so called investigations because he knows that he does not have a legal leg to stand on. He knows that I am protected by the Tennessee Shield Law and that he's just blowing smoke when he says that he has an investigation go on. This is a case where he knows that if he has plans for running for Governor of this state he better leave this one alone. If Billy decides to push the envelope than myself and the ACLU stand ready to give him the ride of his life. I have no intent of ever revealing sources and will continue to use them to reveal the corruption in the Memphis Police Department and The District Attorney's office, And there's not a damn thing they can do about it.

Justice Still Not Fair For Blacks

Ward Crutchfield 79, is old,sick and white and is convicted of violating the public's trust through his role in the Tennessee Waltz. Kathryn Bowers 64, is old,sick,and violated the public's trust, but Ward was sentenced to probation and home arrest while Bowers goes to prison for 16 months.

Both of these elected official accepted bribe money both violated there oaths of office but the Federal judge sees fit to send the White man home while sending the Black woman to jail. It still appears that in America that there is a justice for Whites and a form of "JUST US" for Blacks.

If both public servants violat the same laws,then both public servants should equally go to jail. Ward Cruthfield was old and sick when he took the bribe,so why should his sentence be lighter? If his old sick ass was able to break the law,then his old sick ass should have gone to prison. In a country where Barack Obama is being embraced by people of all colors I guess some things will never change.

Kathryn Bowers' statement

Judge your honor, I come before the court today humble and ashamed and I want to apologize to God, my family and friends, the people of Tennessee, and to you. I ask for forgiveness of my bad decisions of receiving money in an inappropriate manner. I am indeed sorry. If I had it to do over again, I would not have accepted any money. This was a very bad decision on my part and I urge others who are in elected and appointed positions to know the law and serve the people with honor and integrity. I would hope and pray that my bad decisions and the bad decisions of others do not discourage the people from participating in the electoral process.
I accept my punishment and ask forgiveness from the court, my family and the people of Tennessee.

Why Is The Mainstream Media Fearful of Asking Godwin The Tough Questions

Police Director Larry Godwin two weeks ago accused Dexter Cox of being the murderer of both Gwendolyn Cherry and Herbert Wooten but yet no charges have been filed in these cases. Godwin stated that he was 99% sure that Dexter was the killer and that preliminary testing proved that the weapon used to kill his dear friend Ed Vidulich was the same weapon used to kill both Cherry and Wooten.

Well since the mainstream media has a fear of asking the tough questions here goes, Larry did you lie to this community about Cox's involvement in the murders of Wooten and Cherry in October? Why haven't charges been filed since you were 99% sure two weeks ago? Surely Mr. Director by now you have conclusive proof that the gun that killed Vidulich also killed the others.

Mr. Director since the confession of Dexter Cox states that he threw the .40 cal SIG handgun that he used to shoot Vidulich in self defense into the Mississippi River, do you really have the murder weapon? Since Cox states that Vidulich was coming after him with a knife is there a knife shown beside his body in crime scene pictures?

Mr Director isn't it true that you really have nothing that will tie dexter Cox to thes murders? Isn't it true that you just wanted to paint a picture that Cox was a mass murderer to make it appear that not only had you captured your friend's killer but had removed a brutal serial killer from the street? Mr Director did you instruct Lt. Mark Miller to suppress evidence and information concerning this case? Mr Director is it true that you removed investigators from this case and replaced them with your close friends Jeff Clark and Paul Sherman? Mr Director do you think that a police director that attempts to railroad a citizen on to death row should remain in charge of the MPD?

These are tough questions that news directors across the city will not allow there reporters to ask. In fact I was told on yesterday that news directors are being told how to handle this story and not to ask Godwin questions that could place him in a negative light and maybe force Willie Herenton to fire him. And you wonder why there's leaks

Police Investigation Into Leaks Has Dried Up

The so called investigation into how I have been able to receive information out of 201 Poplar is at a stand still because no one's talking and Larry Godwin's not notch investigators can't find a thing. Godwin has had both computers and fax machines checked but has come up clueless. The SecuritySquad has been very careful in placing the blame on anyone knowing that without a statement of confirmation from me the city could get ready for lawsuits.

What Godwin and his goon squad does not understand that there has always been leaks,and the leaks will continue. In fact since his so called investigation there has been a surge in leakage him and his staff is constantly watched. I'm even told on Saturdays when the lights are on in his office. So Mr. Director get ready for more information to appear on this site about what's going in the MPD you can't trust any one because the LEAKERS are both black and White and in your inner circle. So Larry get use to being watched and having your secrets posted here along with documentation,because everyone on the force along with Bill Gibbons knows AINT A DAMN THING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!!

The Mayor Takes The Lead For Safety in Memphis City Schools

In the face of senseless violence in Memphis City Schools Mayor Willie Herenton has decided that it's time for the city to get involved in helping to rid the system of some of its violence problems. the mayor presented on yesterday an immediate action plan where the city will allocate $500,000 to purchase security equipment for MSC.

The plan calls for the redeployment of 67 CO-ACT officers to secure schools intially focusing on 25 High Schools and 7 middle schools. The plan calls for the immediate purchase of 65 walk thru detectors,210 hand held detectors, and additional priritized security equipment. The mayor states that he has directed the MPD to beef up their patrols of Memphis City Schools During,before and after schools hours.

While the mayor's plan is not a cure all it is an attempt to fight a problem that really starts at the home of the children involved. The idea to close down the system as suggested by School Board member K.T.Whalum is just plain stupid. This would allow the violence to take place in the streets where innocent people not even involved in the disputes may lose their lives.

Some will even complain that taxpayer should not foot this bill,but taxpayers and their children are losing their lives daily. the mayor ststed it's unacceptable to say that the city can not afford to get involved with the safety of our children. The mayor was very careful not to step on the toes of the administration of the system and the school board and plans to meet with them next week.

Woman Says Police Tried To Kill Her Brother

Here's a letter from the sister of Albert Taylor who belives that her brother was beaten to near death by the MPD. She will be my guest Friday on "Express Yourself". Taylor is presently being held on a $2,000,000.00 bond for aggravated assault, employing a firearm with the intent to commit a felony.criminal attempt to committ 2nd degree murder, Possession of a control substance(Cocaine).

Here's the letter:

On January 25, 2008, my brother Albert Taylor was involve in a shooting that took place at the Garden Inn & Suites on Lamar. It was reported that the Memphis Police Department was serving a warrant to a room at the hotel. The police suppose to have announced who they were and entered into the room and a female was used as a human shield and one shot was fired that was suppose to have entered the female's shoulder and struck a police officer in the chin. Well after asking questions and doing my own research I found out that it did not happen the way it was reported.

The Memphis Police Department was serving a warrant and they did enter the room but they did not announce who they were until after the shot was fired. A witness that was in the room tells me that the female was coming out of the bathroom and walked into the line of fire and the bullet never entered her body at all. Also once the Police announced who they were (after the shot was fired) Albert dropped the gun.

The Police officers then put handcuffs on him and began to beat him with a chair that was inside of the room, one officer got on top of a table and jumped down into Albert's stomach. It was then they began to debate which one of the officers was going to shot and kill him after the beating had took place. Albert was taking to the hospital in critical condition. Albert was admitted to Trauma Intensive Care Unit at the Regional Medical Center. It was not reported about his condition nor was it reported that he was in the hospital at all.

The media reported that the Officer and the Female was being treated at the Med in critical condition. The Officer was treated and released and the female was released about 3 days after that. Albert stayed in the hospital for 2weeks with injuries such as a busted spling ( which had to be removed in surgery), head injuries that caused swelling, busted lip, cracked rib, and other minor injuries. Albert told me that they was trying to kill him.

My family and I was never contacted by the Police department that Albert was involved nor that he was in the hospital. Albert is being charged with four 2nd degree attemp. murder charges, possession of a controlled substance and intent to distribute. His bond is 2 million dollars. The female was released from the hospital was not charged with anything however she was in the room at the time the warrant was being served. The hotel has since then been shut down due to criminal activities such as drug transactions, prostitution, and other illegal activities. I am in the process of trying to get Albert's medical records.

I just want justice for my brother and for the truth to be told. The media reported to the public about what Albert did now it's time to tell the public what the Police department did and fail to mention. After the family began to ask questions about why he was beaten it was reported that the Memphis Police Department had to use excessive force to disarm Albert, which is not true he dropped the gun after they announced who they were. I am tired of the Police beating up the citizens that pay their salary

. And I am not that shallow minded to believe that all Police officers are the same, there are some that actually care about people and believe in doing the right thing. Today at 4pm on "Express Yourself" I will have as my guest a young lady whose a student at Mitchell Road school. This young lady was sitting next to 19 year old Stacey Kizer when he was shot on Monday by 12 year old Corneilous Cheers.

The mother Ms. Mary Murphy states that her daughter told her that when Cheers fired the first shot and Kiser was try ing to get away,Cheers told Kiser as he fired two more times "I don't want to see you move,I want you dead"

The Cookie Is Starting To Crumble

LEAKERS close to the investigation of Dexter Cox in the killing of Ed Vidulich state that certain Homicide Detective have suppressed evidence and information that clearly shows that Cox and Vidulich had a relationship and that Cox killed Vidulich after the police officer in a druken stupor came at him with a knife. TheLEAKERS state that Homicide supervisor Mark Miller is a little troubled because it's known that it was he that gave a directive to suppress. The LEAKERS also state that the reason that Godwin stated that the copy of the confession I have is just a draft because after Cox gave his statement Miller along with Jeff Clark and Paul Sherman went back and deleted some of the information.

Godwin and his goons never suspected that the original confession would ever get in any one's hand which has caused the "GOON SQUAD" to seek ways to cover their illegal tracks. For this reason Godwin removed the black homicide detectives who had worked the case and brought in his goons from OCU who deal in drug raids and not in homicide. Lt. Tony Armstrong is said to be very upset that this case has been so mishandled and has been placed in the hands of OCU. There is also a concern that when this matter hits the courts or is investigated by the FBI that Armstrong will testify to the truth of the statement that he took from Cox which will not jive with Mark Miller's version.

The LEAKERS are also concerned about the fact that no formal written statement has been taken by Gayle Vidulich the wife of the police officer. In fact I am told that the officers were instructed by Godwin not to insult Mrs.Vidulich with questions. But there is a concern about her relationship with Cox,and why is it that a woman whose house had been broken into would allow a black man that she did not know into her home alone. The LEAKERS also question the fact that Ed died one day before he was to close on a new home in Lakeland.

Why is it that Godwin does not want Gayle to give a formal statement? Why is she not a suspect as any other spouse would be? How much insurance money does she stand to receive from her husband's death? If Cox was at her home on Friday night she knew that he was to return on Sunday night why didn't she tell police after the shooting that Cox was expected at the house?

The LEAKERS know that Ed was found in his drawers and T-Shirt with a knife beside his body.so why hasn't Godwin stated that fact seeing that Cox stated that Ed came at him with a knife? The LEAKERS also state that evidence has been suppressed that proves that Godwin's claims of Cox being involved in two other murders are just a farce.

The director and his Klan of goons need to understand that this issue is not going away,and will not be swept under a rug. They need to also understand that the leaks have gotten so big that they can't trust anyone to keep their secrets anymore. They can have all the meeting they want like the one that took place this afternoon on the 11th floor but there are no many people that really know what happen for a coverup,and some of the persons involved will tell all before going to prison for suppressing information. Mark Miller cleanse your soul and come clean or will you allow yourself to become the fall guy?

Since I know that the so called mainstream media will be looking for information for a story let me help you. Go to 201 Poplar and find Lt Tony Armstrong and ask him about his role in the investigation and why he was removed from the case. Also find Jeff Clark and Paul Sherman and ask why OCU officers have replaced seasoed homicide detectives on this case only. Find Mark Miller and see what his reaction is to being asked if he has suppressed evidence.

If tomorrow is a slow news day you may want to find Gayle Vidulich and ask her why she allowed Cox into her home,while you're doing that you may want to ask the MPD for the memo that shows that an officer went out to the house on that Friday night. Since it's a report it's public information. Ask her why since she knew that Cox was coming back to the house on that Sunday night that her husband was killed,she didn't mention him to the police. Well that's enough to get you started....Oh by the way ask why Ed's mother was present today on the 11th floor

The ACLU And I Are Ready To Take On Bill Gibbons

Shelby County District Attorney Bill Gibbons has launched an investigation into who my sources are within the Memphis Police Department and his office. While I admit that there are sources some of whomn I know,and others as in the Dexter Cox who I don't know whovery cleverly leave information where I can get it I have no plans to ever reveal those sources to anyone.

I am totally prepared to take Gibbons on in this battle of the community's right to know and joining me in that battle is the American Civil Liberties Union. The ACLU made contact with me yesterday after reading an article in the CA,and has agreed at no cost to me to take this battle to any battleground that Gibbons wants to fight on.

It is my belief that the DA will want this issue to go away quietly because I think that he knows that he has no chance of winning. Gibbons knows that I am protected by the Tennessee Shield Law and also the First Amendment. Gibbons also knows that this would be the first attempt in this country to try and force a blogger to reveal a source, thus he knows that nationally he would be written of in a negative light which would kill his ambitions for running for the highest office in the state of Tennessee.

Gibbons I'm sure is amazed that the CA has taken the stance that it has taken on this story in stating that I as a blogger am protected by the Shield law. But Gibbons would soon find that no matter what some media sources may think of me,to silence me and force me to reveal my sources would infringe upon their rights also. This would cause an out pouring of support from those media outlets and cause the wrong attention on this poli-trick-an dressed in DA clothing.

One must wondered if Gibbons really wants to take the chance of becoming a national figure being protrayed as a DA who sets deals for a white man who kills a black man,cuts him up, burns his body, places the body and buries it. Does he really want to be nationall protrayed as a DA who calls a mother of a child crazy because she reports that the father of the child molested their 2 year old daughter which is backed by a doctor and refuses to file charges because the father's father is his close friend,but yet he wants to go after a blogger because that blogger is trying to keep a man fron being railroaded?

But whatever Gibbon wants to do is fine with me,if he wants to take this all the way to the Tennessee Supreme Court then thats what will be done. But he must understand that I will fight him with every legal tool available including enlisting every blog in America. This is one that the General needs to take a pass on, or Lets get ready to rumble.

Since the death of Ed Vidulich the conversation about pictures showing Ed involved in sex with men and his wife having sex with several men has been a topic. The memphis Police department as I am told is fully aware of the alternative lifestyle of Ed. I'm even told that a certain Homicide Lt. gave a directive to suppress evidence that proves that Dexter Cox did in fact act in self defense,and that Ed was known in the community for his alternative lifestyle. A Citizen Speaks Out About Dexter Cox

Thaddeus, I am not a Police Officer or a City Employee nor do I have any information to give you, I am just a concerned citizen in the Memphis area. I have recently started reading articles on your website. I was particularly interested in the Dexter Cox story because I know very well two young men who worked with him at the Colton’s Steakhouse in Bartlett and they say they know him well.

When he was charged with murder they both told me that there was no way he just murdered this Police Officer. You could tell by the way they were reacting that their convictions about this were very strong so I talked with them at length about this young man. They both either think he is being framed or taking the fall for someone else. These boys are both white from pretty well to do financially families and work for spending money only. They both speak very highly of Dexter and said the young man they know would never just murder someone.

They at the time did not know about your website or your radio show, they are not being led to an opinion by anyone but instead instinctively know something is not right with this whole thing. The thing the people in this city or any other city need to understand is this, the reason you have corrupt Police Officers is because the people above them are corrupt. No young man or woman dreams of being in Law Enforcement so they can be or become corrupt! They go into the Police academy with wholesome thoughts and ideals about changing their city and making things better.

The only ones who don’t are the one’s who grew up with older family members or friends in Law Enforcement and have seen them be corrupt and continuously get away with it.this as an ongoing problem, when it is an ongoing problem, look for corruption at the top and you will find it. I think it starts with the Mayor, I have heard story after story from the Memphis Police Officers I know about how crooked the Mayor is. We obviously have a corrupt Police Chief and we know who put him there. It should scare too death every person in this city to know that anyone in our City Government would frame someone or at the least turn their head while some innocent person takes the fall for someone else.

You are a courageous man, I know the stand you have taken and the people you have taken on have not made your life easier. It is sad that the people of this city hear, read about and even see these things going on but stand still and do nothing. We will all stand before God one day and account for what we did with our lives. The officials of this city and other cities should remember that God Almighty said that those who are in a position of authority will be held to a higher standard than those who are under the authority.

It will be a sad time for these people when they stand before God and account for what they have done as leaders of our city. I would not want to be in their shoes come that day when they stand before the Great Judge of the universe who knows all and delivers swift, perfect and sure justice. It is time for people in this city to take a stand against the corrupt officials we have been tolerating for too many years! A highly decorated retired Army General who served four tours in Vietnam once told me that at some point in life, everyone has to find the courage to take a stand for what is right. He said if you don’t take a stand for what is right, you will fall for anything!

That is what our society and our city as a whole has done, you can’t get anyone to take a stand against corruption until it affects them. Unfortunately for Dexter Cox it may be too late because corruption in our city has a strangle hold on many of our officials. I will be praying for your safety as you endeavor to reveal to the citizens of Memphis what is truly going on in their city regarding our city officials. Stay the course and know we are out here supporting you!

Larry Godwin is Railroading Dexter Cox

On last Sunday Police Director Larry Godwin made a grandstanding performance in a press conference to announce that he had the killer of his friend "Big Ed". Godwin even went on to call the person he says killed Ed a "Violent Brutal Killer". Dexter Cox a 18 year old black male from Frayser was in custody for the killing of the person that Godwin stated was personal to him. But not only did Godwin state that Cox was the killer of Ed Vidulich, but he stated that he was 99% sure that Cox killed 45 year old Gwendolyn Cherry and 76 year old Herbert Wooten,in fact Godwin stated that preliminary testing showed that the same murder weapon was used in all three killings.

Larry Godwin had his man and he had painted a picture to the community that Dexter Cox was "The Frayser Mass Murderer". But before the paint could dry I knocked his painting to the ground with the release of the confession that Cox had made to Homicide Detectives. This was the one thing that Godwin had not counted on was that information would LEAK that would show that he had put an evil plan in place to railroad Dexter Cox on to death row.

The confession which Godwin called a draft shows where Cox went to the home of "Big Ed" the Friday night preceeding his death,where a woman whosays she does not know him allows him into her home without her husband being present. Does this not strike you strange that a white woman would allow a black male with gold teeth into her house while she's home alone?

Dexter Cox while at the door tells her about the pictures that were stolen from the house last year along with the theft of guns. Are we to believe that this woman is concerned about guns, no she's concerned about the pictures that Cox states in his confession shows her having sex with several men while "Big Ed" is sucking on the penis of a man while being anally entered by a cucumber.

The confession states that a fight take place in the kitchen of Vidulich where he picked up a knife and charged at Cox. Cox does state that he shoot the nearly 7 foot,350 lb police officer twice with the officer's .40cal SIG handgun. This alone keeps the charge from being first degree murder. Why is it that Godwin left this information out of his press conference? Why did he also leave out the fact that Ed told Cox to come to his home on that fatal Sunday night to get paid? And why would Ed be willing to pay if the pictures do not exist? By the way according to sources within the police department, in the crime scene pictures a knife is shown besides Ed's body.

Larry Godwin who has been personal friends with Vidulich for a number of years wanted to revenge his friends death so badly that he entered into a plot to send Cox to death row. Sources state that Homicide has no evidence that ties Cox to the murders of Wooten and Cherry, but that two unsolved murders close to where Cox lives was chosen.

Why is it that Cox has not been charged with the murders that Godwin last week was 99% sure of, simple he now knows that eyes are on him and he can't claim that the gun that killed Ed is the murder weapon used in all 3 of the killings. Cox after shooting Ed stole a 9mm Sig handgun from the house. this weapon was the previous service weapon used by Vidulich prior to the department's upgrading weapons. Even though this is the weapon that Cox had at the time of his arrest this weapon can not be the murder weapon because it was stolen two weeks ago, while both the other murders took place in October of 2007.

Godwin's plan was to paint a picture that Cox was this brutal murderer so as to taint him in the court of public opinion so that there would be no public outcry of support,as so he could allow Cox to ride the rail without anyone taking a second look. Why do I say that, I'm glad you asked.

Godwin has removed Homicide Detectives from this case and replaced them with Jeff Clark and Paul Sherman both members of The Organized Crime Unit. The question is why. why would two of Godwin's closets friends who are not homicide detectives suddenly be given charge of this case? again it's a simple answer to cover up what needs to be covered. Godwins kept the CSI van at Ed's home for a week,why? And keep asking yourself why hasn't Cox been charged with the other murders,and if the police department was not sure of Cox's role in them why did Godwin make his statements.

After all the police documents and documents that I have posted on this site why all of a sudden does Bill Gibbons want an investigation? because I have killed their plan to railroad Dexter Cox. Would would Gibbons allow the first degree murder charge when the confession states that Cox acted in self defense? But then this is the same D.A. that allowed a man who murdered a man, chopped his body up, and then set it on fire and bury it to plea to a 12 year sentence without even discussing it with the family.

I also have to wonder why when I posted documents from his office showing that he allowed a child rapist not to be charged because the rapist was the son of his dear friend Richard Fields, he didn't launch an investigation. And he can be assured that if I have to go before a court this will be an issue.

I am in no way saying that Dexter Cox is a model citizen, Yes he went to Vidulich's home to exort money from him, but at Ed's invitation. Cox did steal a gun out of the house and he did by his own admission set the SUV on fire. But neither of these crimes will send you to prison for the rest of your life,or take your life. I simply suggest that Cox be properly charged.

But what is even a greater danger to this community than Cox is a Police Director and officers who are willing for their own selfish purposes to frame a citizen. The question must be asked how many others has this act of framing happened to? Godwin has set his goons in place to break the very laws that the police should be protecting this community from. This act is a crime and should not go unpunished. It's time for the U.S. Justice Department to come into Memphis and investigate this police agency.

I have good information also that a certain officer in homicide was given orders to suppress information that would prove that Cox acted in self defense and also proves the lifestyle of Ed Vidulich was less than stellar. As for the pictures they do exist and I'm told you just might be surprised at whose on one of the pictures. As for Gibbons investigation whether he or anyone else likes it I am protected by the Tennessee Shield Law, So Mr. Gibbons be prepared to answer why you didn't investigate when two years ago i started posting your documents when you sought to protect your friend.

If this does become a court matter, it will also become a national story that every media source in this country will cover because it cuts to destroy the Freedom of the press and a violation of the First Amendment that all media sources must be concerned with, This country will see how the D.A.'s office is more concerned about protecting a Police director than making sure citizens receive justice. Also every blog in the USA will carry the story of how still in this country a citizen because of his plight in life can be used as a pawn for created justice.

Sess.).The Tennessee shield law protects those either "connected with" the news media or those independently engaged in gathering information for publication or broadcast. Though there are no reported cases in which the law has been invoked by student journalists, the broad statutory language makes it likely that students would be entitled to its full protection.The law protects both sources and information from compelled disclosure before almost all Tennessee government bodies. Further, the Tennessee Supreme Court has ruled that the shield law protects against disclosure in either civil or criminal litigation and that it protects both confidential and non-confidential sources. Austin v. Memphis Publishing Co., 655 S.W.2d 146 (Tenn. 1983).

Damn, Another Leak

It seems that many police officers both Black and White are very unhappy with the leadership of Director Larry Godwin. Many feel that he has surrounded himself with his own goon squad who under his direction wreck havoc on the force. Officers are now saying that the morale is the lowest that he has ever been and that mayor Willie Herenton has no concern for the men and women on the street.

The officers feel that Godwin has something on the mayor that allows him to turn his head to the evil deeds of this director,even the framing of citizens for crimes that they have not committed. Officers have vowed to release to this community some of the secrets of the Department that they feel this community needs to know.

The following was sent to me by a officer who is concerned that one of Godwin's goon's Inspector Mark T. McClain has a wife who continues to drive drunk but is allowed by Bill Gibbons to make deals to reduce her charge and continues to drive and endanger the lives of citizens in this community. The picture is a mug shot,also posted is a narrative and her arrest report. Here's what that officer had to say:

The story behind this is that the above female is the wife of Inspector Mark T. McClain . McClain has been bounced around all over the department for "Racial" tensions. Although McClain doesn't get along with anybody he REALLY doesn't get along with black officers. McClain did some time where in commanded the T.A.C.T. Unit.

While there he and the Major (black man) stayed in verbal confrontations. McClain is one of the reason why there was a mass exodus from the T.A.C.T. unit that they have yet to recover from. Later on McClain showed up at Old Allen Station (North Precinct) as the Station Commander.

While there he had numerous Officers and Lieutenants both white and black make complaints to the 12th floor on him. McClain allowed officers to be racially and verbally abused by his crew of Lieutenants. Numerous memo's were written to the 12th floor and Godwin took no action to correct it. McClain would come to Roll Call and threaten to charge Officers who complained on him and would brag about allowing his crew to continue with their behavior and nothing was going to happen.

It came close to physical altercations on several occasions with McClain and his crew being the instigators. It got so bad the black Executive Officer (MAJ Gloria Crenshaw) was moved to another precinct because she could not work under McClain anymore. Officers both black and white saw what was going on and began to call him McKLAN. When Inspector Drewry resigned after the incident at the Pancake House on Summer McClain replaced him as Night Duty Chief which was actually a promotion.

The reason he has been allowed to continue with his actions is because he is part of Godwins "Good Ole' Boy" network. Not only does Godwin and Gibbons cover up for their crew in Memphis city limits in reached into Bartlett also where McClain's wife has been stopped for drinking and driving numerous times and arrested on one occasion I know of when the County got involved and Godwin was unable to flex his muscle. However, rumor has it that Gibbons got involved when it reached 201 Poplar and a deal was made. My question is how can McClain protect the community when his wife is one of the main offenders and Godwin and Gibbons continue to cover up for her.

Lisa McClain was arrested by Shelby County Sheriff's Department in Bartlett. SCSD would have transported her to Jail East not Bartlett Jail. My understanding of the story is as follows...

Lisa McClain was driving around Bartlett intoxicated, as she always does, and several people called 911 complaining of an intoxicated driver in the area. Since the call was near the Bartlett/Shelby County line both departments were dispatched on the call. Bartlett made the scene first locating and detaining Lisa McClain.

When Shelby County showed up they took possession of Lisa McClain placing her in custody. More than likely this was done by Bartlett P.D. so Godwin and her husband could not exercise their influence over the incident. I would also imagine that the D.U.I . unit that showed up was County also. If you do a name search of her on http://jssi.co.shelby.tn.us/ it shows that she has had 2 D.U.I.'s and both was plead down to Reckless Driving and she paid a $500 fine. Now you tell me does the typical citizen of Memphis get the same treatment when they step into that court room? Especially since Gibbons claims to take a "No Deal" stance on D.U.I.'s

Coming Sunday: If Larry Godwin Has Lied Is It Time For Him To Be Replaced?

On last Sunday Police Director Larry Godwin in his grandstand attempt to paint a picture that Dexter Cox was a mass murderer stated that the 18 year old was responsible for two other killings in the Frayser area,But as of yet no charges have been filed. Sources(LEAKERS) state that investigators cringed when GODwin made those remarks because Homicide detectives have not been able to connect Cox to those murders.

On Sunday I will discuss whether Godwin lied and has tried to railroad Cox for those murders to revenge his personal friend,and if that is the case he should be fired by the Mayor as the director of Police. If Godwin has lied about this case and had set in motion a plot to railroad Cox how many others have been railroaded by him and his goon squad?

Also I will discuss the investigation into who Godwin thinks are the leaks in the MPD,and why does he think that all the LEAKERS are black,which is totally untrue. In fact I have found out within the past several days that there are many white officers who think that he should not be anywhere close to 201 Poplar at all. I will discuss how his investigation into leaks has created bigger leaks. One of those leaks will be posted on Sunday,it concerns a Police Inspector whose wife has been arrested for being a drunk numerous times and the source states that Godwin and Bill Gibbons have tried to cover her drinking and driving acts.

I have been provided with the arrest ticket along with the summary and photo taken at the Bartlett jail. The question that was asked by the officer whose name and ID I don't know is,How can one of Godwin's high ranking Inspectors arrest others for drunk driving when he can't keep his own wife off the streets,and why does the Director cover for him?

The question will be on Sunday, If Godwin lied about Cox playing a role in the deaths that were announced on last Sunday should he be replaced and can he ever be trusted again? Should the city tolerate a Police Director that would place citizens on the rail that leads to Death Row?

This Was The First Major Leak At 201 Poplar

This is a reprint of a story I wrote on last year when 201 Poplar sprung it's first major leak:

I was told today by both black and white police officers that one of the reasons that crime is the highest that it has ever been is because police officers have lost trust in Director Larry Goodwin and his staff. Many are concerned that his "Blue Crush" numbers are just for public relations and does not accurately tell what is really going on when it comes to the crime problem in this city.


I'm told by some officers that if Willie Herenton wants to see a reduction in crime he needs to get rid of Godwin.
But on the matter of Godwin and Ashley Scott. I am told by high ranking officials in the police department that the text messages in the phone of Scott came from Godwin and that he is using Lt Joe Scott a long time friend and former head of the homicide unit to cover his involvement with Ashley Scott.

It is believed that Jeffery Scott struck his wife and caused her death because of text messages in her cell phone of a intimate nature. I'm told that when Joe Scott checked the cell phone he recognized the number that produced the messages to be that of Godwin, and sought out to protect his boss and friend.


Some police officials believed that to reward Lt.Joe Scott for attempting to cover his involvement with Ashley Scott he was given the job of being in charge of " Crimes Against Persons" which is normally lead by an inspector. Joe Scott was also given an 5% "Out Of Rank" pay increase. This has angered majors and inspectors who now take orders from someone with a lesser rank. The new positon that Lt. Scott holds covers Homicide, Robbery, and Sex Crimes. I must note that Scott received this new job after the Thanksgiving death of Ashley Scott.


Larry Godwin who is my next door(At the time of the first publishing of this story) neighbor,lived within walking distance of Ashley Wood,in fact the walk from his home to where she was living can be walked in less than 3 minutes, So is it possible that Godwin could have known Ashley Scott? I reported that the information of the text messages was also known to Attorney Leslie Ballin who represents Jeffery Scott the husband and accused killer of Ashley. I spoke with Leslie today at 201 Poplar, who mentioned to me that this morning that Larry Godwin approached him as they were walking in the building and told him that he didn't know Ashley Scott.


Why would the Director of Police tell an attorney that he's not guilty of sending text messages to Scott. I relayed to Ballin that I have also been told that the messages were erased from the phone, but that the carrier of the service would still have those messages. If Godwin bears no guilt or involvement in the death of Ashley Wood why would he go to Ballin?It must also be stated that if what is being said about Lt.Joe Scott he could come up on charges of obstructing justice.


There's an old saying that says " If you throw a stone into a pack of dogs, the dog that gets hit hollers first". It seems that the director has barked.

Dale Mardis May Finally Get What He Has Coming

Dale Mardis who confessed to killing Mickey Wright is now facing Federal crimes after being slapped on the wrist by Bill Gibbons. mardis confessed to killing Wright, cutting up his body,burning the body, placing the body in a barreland burying it,received only 12 years from our great defender of justice Gibbons.

Gibbons stated last year that Mardis agreed to give them new information about what happened to Wright in exchange for the light sentence. Gibbons was totally untruthful when he accepted the DEAL saying that it was new information. If you look at the article I provided you will see that the very same info he gave last year he gave in 2003. The family of Micky Wright was only told of the agreement 30 mintues before it took place.

Mardis now faces Civil Rights violations,along with being charged with a Hate crime, plus Federal gun violations. Instead of 12 years this racist now faces the rest of his sorry life in jail. Bill Gibbons has aspirations of running for the highest office in the state, but he'll have to explain why he allowed Mardis to cut a deal under his "NO DEALS" program,along with why he allowed Morgan Fields to not be charged for raping his own 2 year old daughter.

Is there a plan by Gibbons to allow certain crimes to go unpunished, was he working with former Judge Fred Axley who was forced out of office last year for being a pervert to make sure some get slaps on the wrist? Axley who before becoming a judge handled this case and accepted this plea, but he also handled the West Memphis Police officers,and stated in open court that if the Prosecutors didn't allow them to be placed on diversion he would dismiss the case. it's time that the federal government take a look at Gibbons office.

Like in the case of Dale Mardis where Congressman Steve Cohen got involved in helping the family of Wright to get this matter to the Federal level,I intended to seek and federal investigation into Gibbons office especially in the case of him allowing the son of one of his closet friends not to be charged for raping a child. But I have been told to start with the State Representatives who have the power to whole a hearing of investigation on the Shelby County District Attorney's office. Let's see who will I call first, How about State Representative Larry Miller, Mickey Wright's brother in law.

Is There A Secret Group Of Police Officers Who Meet to Have Alternative Sex

When you read the confession of Dexter Cox, the Detectives have a lot of interest in the pictures that Cox states that he has access to that is alleged to show Ed Vidulich having sex with several men while being anally abused by a cucumber.

In fact when Cox is asked how many pictures are there he replys "6", When asked to describe what he saw on the pictures he states "Ed was sucking other men's private parts.Men were having sex with him. Men ran a train on his wife and they had sex with Ed with a cucumber,sticking it in his butt".

I'm told by some police officers that the big interest in the pictures stem from the rumor that there are other police officers on them,that don't want their alternative lifestyles known. It's no wonder that Ed was willing to pay Cox for their safe return.Being a male officer with pictures of your ass being violated with a cucumber more than likely would make that officer a laughing stock,and Your macho image kinda goes out the window. I'm told that the alternative sex group is something that is well known to those who daily enter 201 Poplar.

There are some factors that I have not reported concerning this officers lifestyle,and how the police department is attempting to save the image of a dead man while sending a living 18 year old to the chair. As well as the police I have put feelers out to find those pictures which if found will be posted here.

Is it possible that there is a secret group of officers who enjoy weird and gangbanging sex?If there is it is their business but if thats the motive behind Ed's death and a man is facing the chair wrogfully,it becomes the business of this community. Dexter cox is being framed and some officers know it. Some Police Officers Just Want What Is Right

There are many Police officers who believe that Larry GODwin is the wrong person to lead the Memphis Police Department,and that Dexter Cox is being framed. Hey Thad, I'd like to start off by saying that I am a member of MPD and I'm white. I listen to your show and visit your blog from time to time. Sometimes I agree with you and sometimes I don't. We come from different backgrounds but not distant backgrounds. I grew up in Memphis too. I sill live in Memphis and consider the whole city my community. As a police officer I understand that I work for ALL of the citizens of Memphis. The Director is only the highest ranking officer and not someone I consider my boss. He supervises the police department. The people are my boss. So this is what brings me to the question: If Dexter Cox is pinned for the other two murders in Frasier without solid evidence, dosen't that leave the possibilty of a murderer running loose in our community? Maybe two or more? Is that justice for the other victims and their families? Its time for an outside agency to take over the investigation. As a citizen myself, I shouldnt have to deal with so much doubt. Also, I'm pretty sure this email could get me fired so please keep my email address secret. Thanks

Bill Gibbons Sends Out His Goons But I'm Still Not Talking

Today as I prepared for my radio show I looked out the studio window to see a Toyota park next to my car. Exiting the small black truck were two men in suit and tie,that I pegged as law enforcement most likely looking for me. When they entered the buiding they asked for me and I invited them upstairs to the studio.

One of the guys gave his name and stated that he was from the West Tennessee Judicial Violent Crime and Drug Task Force,which is an organization that I have never heard of. I noticed that the two men were not wearing guns and only had a poorly designed card in a case as a badge. I asked what they wanted,and thet stated that they were investigating leaks in the police department and in the District Attorney's office. I told them that I was not a plumber so what do I do about their leaks. I was told that they wanted me to tell them who my sources were within both these organizations.

I laughed and told them "NO" and that under the Tennessee Shield Law. I didn't have too. Bill Gibbons and Larry Godwin might as well know that I don't give a damn about their investigation,and the many officers that I have spoken with declare their hatred amd mistrust of them. What this so called investigation has done is create even more leaks, I have heard from many officers today who now say "we now know how to push his buttons" , speaking of Godwin. I also found out that the goons who came to the station are a part of a program that receives a grant to operate from Gibbons.

I have no intentions of ever revealing who my sources are from any government agency. If it were not for the LEAKERS we would not know that Bill Gibbons cares more for his friend then a child whose been raped by her father,we wouldn't know that Larry Godwin and his crew of goons would create lies and charges just to revenge the death of his friends,even if the charges don't fit.

Why is it that Dexter Cox has not been charged with the other two murders that Godwin stated that Cox committed? Where is the weapon that he states ties all the murders together? Cox states that he shot Vidulich with a .40 cal and threw the weapon into the river,so that can't be the weapon. The 9mm that was in the possession of Cox at the time of his arrest,was just stolen from Vidulich the night of the murder, so that weapon which Godwin didn't mention in his press conference can't be the murder weapon.

Cox states that it was Antonio Taylor who made the breakend last summer where the pictures and guns were stolen,it would make sense that Taylor knew what was going on at "Big Ed's" home since he lived directly in front of that house. If it were not for the LEAKERS we wouldn't know that Cox visited the Vidulich home on the Friday night before the shooting and was allowed in by Gayle Vidulich who was home alone,this within itself sounds fishy. Why would the wife of a police officer allow a male into her home that she doesn't know? She would if the male making the visit tells her that he has pictures of her having sex with several men at the same time,and pictures of her husband having sex with other men.

If it were not for the LEAKERS we wouldn't know that the experience detectives of the Memphis Police Department have been taken off this case and replaced with hand picked goons of Godwin who were also close to Vidulich. Those officers are Paul Sherman and Jeff Clark who are members of the Organized Crime Unit,AKA The Cleanup Crew. One must ask why has Godwin placed these officers over this case removing the officers who worked and broke the case.

Larry Godwin and his goon squad had planned to to railroad Dexter Cox onto death row to save the now tarnish image of his friend. Godwin in his attempt to hide the alternative lifestyle of Ed Vidulich has botched this case up maybe beyond repair,because of his glory seeking ways. Godwin has refused to come clean with all the facts concerning Vidulich's death, and this community should be demanding to know why.

Let me save Gibbons some time,by stating again I will not be revealing any sources to you or anyone else period.Maybe Gibbons should be the one being investigated as to why he allowed a child rapist to go free. Thanks to my LEAKERS who were listening to the show when I gave out the tags on the goons Toyota (902FVH) and sent me the immediate information that the truck was registered to JOHN ADAMS with no address. Bill Gibbons Has His Own Leaks To Plug

The posted documents are documents leaked to me in 2006 directly from the office of Shelby County District Attorney Bill Gibbons. Gibbons who has stated to me that he reads this blog has known about these documents being leaked to me for two years, in fact he is aware that the documents have been posted here several times during this period. So how is it that he has joined in with Memphis Police director Larry Godwin is talking about prosecuting whoever he thinks leaked me the confession of Dexter Cox? In fact he should be plugging his own leaks instead of trying to enter into a plan with Godwin to plug his.

Gibbons allowed his friend Attorney Richard Fields to get away with having sex with a minor, and Fields son Morgan to get away with sticking his finger into his own then 2 year old daughter's labia. Richard Fields a democrat left the democratic party to be able to publicly endorse Gibbons in his bid last year to be re-elected. So can it be that Gibbons used his office and the offenses to get Fields support?

Are we to think that Gibbons would allow a 2 year old child to be sexually violated,just to protect a friend? When you read the document that was LEAKED to me you will see that the child, the mother,and doctors all state that the child has been violated, but Gibbons office instead of filing charges states that the mother is crazy.

Maybe now some of you can understand why information has to be leaked, because we have public officials who use there positions in law enforcement to produce "selective prosecution". If Gibbons does go after anyone in the police department for leaking information, then there should be a lawsuit brought against him and the county for using his office to selectively prosecuting,and for having knowledge that his office also has leaks and has refused to do anything about it,and for using his office to protect his friends. Along with this a complaint should be filed with the U.S. Justice Department in Washington D.C. The person who made sure that I received this information thought that it was a shame that the DA would allow a child to be violated while Gibbons played politics.

The last couple of days Godwin has directed that computers be checked in Homicide to see if someone emailed me the confession. But surely Larry you don't think that anybody would be that dumb do you? The city is going to end up in a lawsuit for acussing the wrong people of doing something that they have no knowledge of. It's also believe that Godwin is attempting to bug office and cell phones.

So Larry let me save you some stress by telling you how it's done. I never meet sources who have sensitive info,thats a no no. I receive a call from a blocked number from a person stating that they have info for me, I never ask for a name,and they never volunteer one. If I decide that I want the info I tell the person where my car will be parked and to place it on my windshield. Then they give me a call letting me know that the info is there and I go out,or send someone out to get it. I thought I would share that with you so you can quit tearing up city property.

I have received numerous calls today about whether or not Gibbons could force me to give up my sources, the answer is no. The tennessee Shield law protects me from Gibbons, and anyway I don't know who the source was.

The Tennessee shield law protects those either "connected with" the news media or those independently engaged in gathering information for publication or broadcast. Though there are no reported cases in which the law has been invoked by student journalists, the broad statutory language makes it likely that students would be entitled to its full protection.

The law protects both sources and information from compelled disclosure before almost all Tennessee government bodies. Further, the Tennessee Supreme Court has ruled that the shield law protects against disclosure in either civil or criminal litigation and that it protects both confidential and non-confidential sources. Austin v. Memphis Publishing Co., 655 S.W.2d 146 (Tenn. 1983).

Why Did Gayle Vidulich Allow Dexter Cox Into Her Home While Ed Was Gone

On the Friday night before the death of Ed Vidulich,Dexter Cox went by the slain police officer's home. Ed was not home but his wife Gayle allowed Cox to come in and wait for her husband. Now does Larry Godwin want us to believe that a white woman whose husband is a police officer allowed a young black male with gold shinning in his mouth to come into her home while her husband is not there.

Godwin who has removed homicide Detectives from the case so that his goon squad of Jeff Clark and Paul Sherman of OCU can make sure that the top spins his way should ask Gayle just how long has she known Cox and if there is some type of relationship that took place between her him and him.

It's strange that a woman would let a man in her home that he didn't know while her husband is out. I wonder who else happens to be on the pictures that Cox was trying to sell back to Ed. Kind of make you wonder if Gayle allowed Cox in because of the nature of the pics,doesn't it? Homicide detectives know that there is more to this story.

Larry Will Have To Become A Plumber To Fix All His Leaks

Police Director Larry Godwin in his weak attempt to whitewash the facts behind the death of Ed Vidulich has launched an investigation into who gave me the confession of Dexter Cox. Godwin stated this afternoon that the confession that I have is a draft and not taken under oath, But here again he's playing this game of the public don't know so I can tell them anything.

Godwin is fully aware that no signed copies are placed in the computer,and that the signed copy goes only into the investigative file. The investigators make copies of the statements/confession that are maintained in a computer. My sources gave me not the signed copy because there is only one but the copy that was placed in the computer. But I'm sure this is what Godwin was told to say when he was coached today by Jeff Clark.

Godwin went on to state that my copy was only a draft,but how do you draft a confession? it's either the confession or not. The confession gave Dexter Cox his rights to remain silent,to have his attorney present,and to stop the interview at any time,and for the next 9 pages Cox gives his statement.At the end of the confession he is asked "Is there anything else that you would like to add to your statement that would aid us in this investigation?" Where Cox replied 'That I'm sorry for the whole situation I never meant for it to happen the way it happened" So Larry what else was ther to add?

The confession is public information which is defined under state law as:Tennessee Code Annotated Title 10 Chapter 7. A public record is defined as follows: "Public record(s)" or "state record(s)" means all documents, papers, letters, maps, books, photographs, microfilms, electronic data processing files and output, films, sound recordings or other material, regardless of physical form or characteristics made or received pursuant to law or ordinance or in connection with the transaction of official business by any governmental agency.

Godwin's statement that the leak hurts an on going investigation can't be correct when he stated that the police was looking for no one else for the murder of Ed Vidulich. The confession does not mention the other murders that he states that Cox is involved so no investigation is being harmed unless if he means that the release of the confession to me prevents him from placing a spin on the murders.

The question that no reporter ask Godwin today was,if my copy is just a draft why was it used to get an arrest warrant for Cox? In the affidavit of complaint which the warrant was based on it states "On February 1,2008 Dexter Cox was questioned about his involvement in the homicide of Edward Vidulich.Dexter Cox was advised of his rights and gave a statement of admission to Det.P. Sherman #8645 and Lt. T.Armstrong #0139 that he entered 3454 Shiloh shot Mr. Vidulich.and stole Vidulich's 1993 Ford Explorer and Mr. Vidulich's Sig Sauer P233 9mm handgun. Dexter Cox stated he drove Mr.Vidulich's 1993 Ford Explorer to the 1600 block of Winston where he set the vehicle on fire" There is nothing not mention in my copy of the confession that is not listed in the complaint. Maybe what Godwin does not like in the confession is the fact about the pictures and the tussle in the kitchen.

Mr. Director here's a easy one for you "Was a knife found beside the body of Ed?" you want answer that because it would make Cox's confession more believable wouldn't it? Here we are in the City of Memphis worried about who will become the next murder victim and all Godwin wants to do is investigate leaks.

What the director does not understand is that with all the leaks in his ship he's about to sink. The places that he's looking for leaks at, are all the wrong places. He's only looking at Blacks when his leaks are both Black and White. Even though he's trying to plug leaks by removing homicide Detectives from this case and replacing them with OCU officers Paul Sherman and Jeff Clark, he's only creating more leaks, like the fact that computers in homicide are being checked,and like Deputy Director Janice Pilot telling employees that they can't come to my site.

What Godwin does not realize is that many of his officers are tired of his God-Complex, his arrogance,and his desire for officers to be loyal to him only. The leaks will not stop as long as he is Director,I've been made aware that my cell phone may be tapped but other ways have been designed to get information out of 201 Poplar that this community needs to know about the corruption of the Memphis Police Department.

Larry, it's bad when your officers don't trust you to do the right,and believe that you would attempt to send a man to death row just to save the image of a dead man. The leaks will not be confessing and I won't be talking. but I will be reporting.

By the way I noticed Shelby County District Attorney Bill Gibbons speaking of someone maybe being prosecuted for the leaks coming out of the police department. But how can he prosecute a police officer,when he didn't seek to file charges against the person or persons in his office who leaked me information from his office about his friend Richard fields and his son Morgan whose paper work has been posted here several times.

Ed Vidulich Death, Murder Or Self Defense?

Police Director Larry Godwin standing with family members of Ed Vidulich announced that Dexter Cox was being held for the officers murder.Godwin who stated that the arrest of Cox was great news for this community would not answer what the motive of the killing was,but he did state that Cox used information that he had of a breakend at Vidulich home to gain his trust. Godwin would have us believe that "Big Ed" a 28 year law enforcement officer would trust a so called thug enough to allow him in his home not only once but twice,which I will explain later in this story.

Godwin also claims that Cox will be charged with two other murders in the Frayser area,including Harbert Wooten who was killed on Oct 25,2007 with his own gun. Police sources are stating that the case against Cox in these murders are not conclusive but are being used by Godwin to paint Cox as a serial murderer for public consumption.

Police officers both Black and White made contact with me on Monday stating that Ed's shooting was being handled by the cleanup crew in reference to The Organized Crime Unit, and that there job was to make sure that nothing about the murder would place Ed in a bad light. I was also told of an alleged alternative lifestyle of Ed that had played a role in his murder because there were pictures of him and his wife having perverted sex that had been stolen from his home.

Those police sources felt that since Vidulich was a very close friend of Godwin that the whole truth would not be told,which is the reason I received very sensitive info concerning the case all week. The sources found out on yesterday that Cox was going to be railroaded with charges from murders that he may not have played a role in, thus I was given a copy of the confession that Cox made so that the public could see that Ed's death according to the confession of Cox was self defense.

Dexter Cox was questioned by Lt. Tony Armstrong and Det. Paul Sherman,in which he confesses to shooting Vidulich twice after being approached by him with a knife in hand.One of the things that Godwin left out of his press conference is the fact that Cox was also allowed entry on last Friday night by Gayle Vidulich to wait for Ed to get home after he told her that he knew who had his guns and the sex pictures.

Cox states in his confession that he knew that the home was broken into in June or July by his friend Antonio Taylor. He states that Taylor showed him 5 guns and the sex pictures of ed and his wife having sex with other people. Cox also stated that Taylor had two other guys with him at the time the house was broken into.

Cox states that Taylor tried to sell him the guns but at the time he didn't have the money. So on Friday January 25,2008 he went to Vidulich's home so that he could get paid for his information and to get two charges taken off his record.

Cox goes on to say that after Gayle Vidulich allowed him entry she called ed and he arrived in about 10 minutes. He states that as he sat on the couch Ed ask him what he knew and if he would testify against the person that broke into his house,and if he could retrieve the sex pictures of him and his wife. Cox states that he told him yes,and Ed called the police out to the house. Cox states that he gave the officer who came out a false name of Tony Smith but the right cell phone number and work location.

According to the confession of Cox he states that at this time Ed agrees that he should come back on Sunday night to get paid. Cox states that on last Sunday night he went to Ed's home and that he was there by himself. As he approached the door it was open and he states that Ed invited him in,where he sat on the couch talking about the incident. Cox tells Ed that he is in a hurry and that he needs to get gone an get his money. He states that Ed goes in the kitchen where his wallet was and hands him $60.00.

Cox tells Ed that the $60.00 was not enough and according to Cox Ed replys "What do you mean that it wasn't enough" Cox states that at this time Ed who he claims is intoxicated gets in his face close enough where he's spitting in his face. Cox states that that he tells Ed that he's going to tell the police that he was going to pay him to testify against someone,at which time he states Ed charged at him with a knife, Cox claims that he grabbed Ed and a tussle took place after the knife was raised. Cox states that he got up off the ground and was backing up towards the table,but Ed ran him into a table where he picked up his .40 handgun and shot him twice. He goes on to say that he got the keys to Ed's truck off the table and took the truck on Winston Street,where he and a guy named Alvin"burned the truck up".

Cox is then asked about the pictures where he states that he saw six. Cox is then asked to describe what was on the pictures,where he states " Ed was sucking other men's private parts.Men were having sex with him.Men ran a train on his wife and they had sex with Ed with a cucumber sticking it in his butt."

Cox states that he had never been to the house prior to that Frifday night and knew that Gayle was his wife by meeting her at the house on that Friday night. Cox also states that he went to the house about 10:30-11:00 pm on last Sunday night because he got off work aboyt 9:30pm.

The confession goes on to state that he an Ed had not agreed on a price for the pictures,but that he did expect $300-$400 for them. he stated that he did not have possession of the pictures but could get them. Again he states that Antonio Taylor has possession of the pictures but is in jail. He also was asked if he knew where Taylor kept the pictures where he replied "No"

Cox also states that he got someone to drive him to the bridge where he threw Ed's ,40 sig automatic into the Mississippi River. Cox states that he got the gun from the dining room table in which Ed ran him into. He also states that along with the keys to the truck he took a 9mm Sig automatic. I wonder if this is the 9mm that Godwin referenced in his statement about the murder of the elderly man on Watkins, hmmm can't be because that murder took place in October didn't it director?

Cox states that he bought $2,00 worth of gas to burn the truck from Citgo store on Watkins he also states that while setting the fire he accidentally spilled some gas down his arm and when he tried to light the fire he arm caught on fire.

As you read this story and the confession of Cox you can see that he did have criminal intent but the acts within the house were acts of self defense. My sources state that a knife can be seen lying beside Ed's body in the crime scene pictures and that since Ed had just left the RoadHouse Bar he could have been intoxicated. My sources also state that Godwin and his cronies are trying to claim that the 9mm weapon stolen from Ed's home on last week is the weapon that was used in the murder in October which is impossible. The weapon that Cox was firing on last week was the weapon stolen from Ed's home.

It's only human nature to want to protect your friends but its criminal to create a false story to railroad a person just to solve a high profile crime which involves a person that you are close to. Dexter Cox is by far no saint and more than likely committed other crimes, but unless evidence is found to connect him to those crimes he is still a innocent man. If Cox statements which Godwin ommitted are true then Cox should be charged with theft of property and destruction of that property, but according to the confession Cox killed Ed in self defense.

Is Larry Godwin Laying Railroad Ties?

Mr Director I am aware that you have taken the case of Dexter Cox out of the hands of Homicide and has placed it in the hands of your personal cronies Jeff Clark and Paul Sherman who works in OCU. I am also aware that you have plans to pen two Frayser murders on Cox,one of which is the shooting on watkins where the man died in his front yard. This plan is to paint Cox as a Frayser mass murdererso as to paint the picture that your friend Ed played no role in his death.

But remember Cox shot Ed with his gun,and has stated that Antonio Taylor is the person who broke into the home of Ed and stole the guns and the sex pictures. So it's going to be hard to pin those murders on Cox unless you can place the weapon that killed the others in Cox's hand. I am also aware that Clark and Sherman had Cox in a room alone yesterday several times. There are police officers that believe that you are laying railroad ties for Dexter Cox. I will watch your press conference with interest.

Will Larry Godwin Tell It All, If Not I Will

Today Police Director Larry Godwin will hold a press conference to announce the arrest of Dexter Cox who has been charged with the murder of "Big Ed". I wonder if the Director plans to tell everything about this case,or will he supply us with his version that has been white washed?

I am waiting to hear the Directors statements about the crime that put every other crime on the back burner all week long. I wonder if he will mention anything about the other young man whose picture is posted at the top of the page?
