DAUGHTER OF DIRECTOR OF BLIGHT IS FIRED BY LARRY GODWIN

The question around 201 Poplar is whether Police Director Larry Godwin has taken his dislike o for former Deputy Police Director Earnest Dobbins out on Dobbins daughter Adrianne by firing her on Tuesday. It was well known that Godwin never wanted Dobbins as the second in command but couldn't do anything about it because like himself Dobbins was appointed by the mayor.

Godwin put so much pressure on the mayor concerning the fact that he didn't like Dobbins until the mayor instead of standing up to him created a job for Dobbins that didn't exist. The life long police officer whose resume reads life the definition for law enforcement is now the Director of blight,In other words a glorified garbage man. In fact the day Dobbins went before the council for a approval for his new job that pays over $100,000 per year there was no job description for the new position. Many wondered how the mayor could allow Godwin to force Dobbins out of law enforcement to look after garbage and rundown houses.

Surely Godwin didn't want to see Dobbins become a Division Director like himself with a city car and salary that nearly matches his and has sought out to get back at the man that no police officer can find anything negative to say about. Well on Tuesday Godwin struck with a hand of vengeance.

Adrianne Dobbins has been on the force for about 10 years with one single infraction against her. Sources say that trumped up charges were made against Dobbins stating without proof that she was giving answers to tests to new recruits. Godwin didn't fire Dobbins himself but used his main henchman Jim Tusant to do his dirty work. Earnest Dobbins requested to be present at his daughter's hearing but was refused.

Several officers that I spoke with today say that they have lost all hope that Mayor Willie Herenton has any concern for officers and that apparently Godwin has him by the balls and won't let go. The reason that I am supplied so much information about the going ons of the department is because officers of all races want Godwin gone by any means possible. They believe that Godwin's only concern is for his 12th floor friends and cronies and not for the men and women in the streets.

Earnest Dobbins should have never been removed from the police department and when i read his resume he should have been the director and not Godwin. Officers state that the problem between Godwin and Dobbins is the fact that Dobbins believes in treating all officers fair and did not go along with the practices of the director because he knew that some of what Godwin wanted was not right.

Well Earnest I guess you know now that Herenton was never your friend he didn't stand up for you,So you know your daughter has no chance of being treated fairly.

CASE OF POLICE KILLING TO BE PRESENTED TO GRAND JURY

The presence of the beaten body of Reginald Pointer has the MPD and The Shelby County District Attorney's office wondering how to go forth in the case of Gerry Hampton killing the 24 year old.

Today Monique Martin media relations person for MPD issued a statement saying that the investigation into the shooting was complete and that the AG's office had ruled the shooting of Pointer justifiable and that Hampton would place no criminal prosecution. But shortly thereafter after Police Director Larry Godwin called a special meeting with his Colonels Martin issued a stated that totally contradicts what she had stated earlier.

In her second statement Martin states that there is still an investigation going on internally which means that the fox is investigating the hen house. Martin goes on to state that the ruling from the AG's office is based on facts to date. In other words they had no idea that I had pics of Pointer. NO MATTER WHAT GODWIN OR GIBBONS THINKS THIS CASE IS FAR FROM BEING OVER

MEMPHIS POLICE ARE TRYING TO COVER UP THE KILLING OF REGINALD POINTER BY ONE OF THEIR OWN

This afternoon I accompanied Ms. Shirley Wilson mother of Reginald Pointer who was shot and killed last Tuesday to N.J. Fords And Sons Funeral Home. Wilson's son was shot down by undercover police officer Jerry Hampton who along with his partner Louis Brown gave chase to Pointer after Fed-Ex security guards who also were were chasing the 24 year old stated that it seemed he was prowling cars parked on Tchulahoma Street. Ms. Wilson was also accompanied by several family members who requested that I take pictures of Pointer to be placed on this site so that the truth about his death could not be covered up.

Looking at the body of Reginald Pointer I now understand why the Memphis Police Department has issued no statement concerning the shooting. It's very apparent that Pointer was not only shot but beaten. But what lead to the use of deadly force by officer Hampton? Sources out of 201 Poplar told me on last Wednesday that the shooting could not be justified and that Pointer had no weapon on him or any device that could be used to break in cars. So why is he dead?

It's an unwritten policy among police officers that if they have to chase you,you have to go to the MED because you will be issued a ass whupping. The left side of Pointer's face is badly swollen plus you can see bruises around the left side of his forehead and eye. There is also bruises in his chest,Left side, And his left and right arms are both swollen and bruised.

The bullet from the 40 caliber Sig that MPD officers carry at close range would go through a body but there is no exit wound so I'm lead to believe that Pointer was being beaten and got loose and ran and was shot down by Hampton. The wound to the left arm shows that the bullet grazed the arm prior to entering Pointer's body. So is it possible that Hampton shot Pointer because he tried to get away from the beating that he was receiving,Especially since it had not been proven that he had committed any crime.Because surely Pointer wasn't beaten after he was shot.

Is it possible that the bruises and the swollen spots on the body of Reginald Pointer come from night sticks or maybe from being stomped? Either way with MPD officers and FEDEX security present there was no reason for deadly force to be used on the 5"5 125 pound 24 year old. From the appearance of the body he was no threat to the officers,So why is he dead?

Is the struggle that the officers state was made by Pointer one where he was trying to save his own life? Is it one of survival where he was being beaten and just wanted to get away? Where's the reason for deadly force? We all know that if MPD had a way to clear this Black police officer who shot down a Black man in cold blood those facts and evidence would have been submitted by now.

This is a case of police brutality that is being condoned by Police Director Larry Godwin and mayor Willie Herenton. Because if they didn't condone the act we would have heard from them by now. Maybe they thought that because of the Lester Street pictures that I would not be able to get pictures out of N.J. Fords funeral home and that the truth about the killing would be buried on this Saturday when the 24 year old is laid to rest.

Sources on the 12th floor of 201 Poplar state that there is an in house scheme to cover up an incident between two officers who have been placed on non enforcement status due to the fact that an argument occurred between them in front of citizen where each officer had their hands on their weapons.

Patrolman R. Atkins made a disturbance call,While making the call the need for a LT. occurred. Lt. M.Tabor made the scene.An argument took place that was so fierce that the citizen at the resident of the call called police and told them that to officers had their hands on their weapons as though they were about to shot each other..

Both officers have had their weapons and badges taken away an are both currently on non enforcement status. Patrolman Atkins is sitting on a desk at the Old Allen Station. Sources state that the MPD is a ticking time bomb about to explode. When asked what has the bomb ticking I'm told a lack of leadership on the part of Director Larry Godwin and the feeling that Mayor Willie Herenton has no concern for the turmoil that the director is causing with his lack of leadership and his pettiness such as demanding that during the winter months that officers in the street can no longer wear skull caps to protect them from the elements but now can only wear ear muffs.

POLICE OFFICER WHO KILLED HIS GIRLFRIEND WILL NOW BE CHARGED WITH FIRST DEGREE MURDER

Attorney Javier Bailey who represents the family of Phyllis Malone who was shot three times by her boyfriend former police officer Chancy Jones has received a letter from District Attorney General Bill Gibbons stating that the present charge of second degree murder will be upgraded to first degree murder.

Jones called for Malone to meet him late at night at a convenience store on Whitten Road where according to his own statement he was sitting in the car with Malone,Got out went to his car,Returned and shot the woman three times. Malone was shot once in the right torso,Once in the right side of her chest, And once in the right side of her head.Based on his statement it's hard to understand why Jones was ever charged with second degree murder.

MOTHER OF MAN KILLED BY MPD TO APPEAR THIS AFTERNOON ON MY RADIO PROGRAM

Miss Shirley Miller mother of 24 year old Reginald Pointer who was shot and killed by Officer Jerry Hampton of the Memphis Police Department will appear this afternoon on my radio show to discuss the death of her son. According to police sources there was no gun or screw driver found at the scene where Fed-Ex security guards state that Pointer seemed to be prowling cars.

There has been no proof that Pointer was breaking into any of the cars that were parked on Tchulahoma street where Pointer could have just been walking heading to his mother's home where he lives nearby.

The mother states that her son could have ran from the plain clothed officer because he didn't know that he was the police or because he was robbed and beaten several weeks ago at night near their home.

But whatever the reason MPD needs to explain why Pointer who was not harmed was killed. Miss Wilson will also appear with her attorney Javier Bailey who will be filing a lawsuit against the officer and The City of Memphis,And possibly Federal Express Corporation.

WHY DID OFFICER JERRY HAMPTON KILL REGINALD POINTER?

Sources at 201 Poplar state that the name of the officer that shot to death 24 year old Reginald Pointer at Democrat and Tchulahoma is 10 year vet Jerry Hampton. I'm also told by the sources that the killing of Pointer is not a good shoot because Pointer did not produce a deadly threat to officers on the scene.

Fed-Ex security state that Pointer who lives in the general area of the Tchulahoma facility seemed to be prowling around cars but that they did not see him break into any cars parked on the street close to the no parking signs.

If Pointer was only seen walking by cars parked on the street why did security guards decide that he was committing a crime,Why didn't they wait since they were watching him until he made an attempt to enter a vehicle parked on the street.

But the biggest question is why did Jerry Hampton shot Pointer? If a chase was going on why did he have his weapon out? What act did Pointer perform that made the officer use deadly force? Sources at 201 wanted the public to know before a police cover up could take place that the young man did not have a weapon on him and none was found at the crime scene.

DEXTER COX STATES THAT LARRY GODWIN IS TRYING TO PORTRAY HIM AS A SERIAL KILLER AND HE IS NOT

Dexter Cox states that even though Police Director Larry Godwin portrays him as a serial killer he is not. I received a letter from Cox on yesterday where he states that he listens to my radio program daily and how he appreciates my support of him in the charges placed against him.



In his letter Cox states that police officers are more illegal than street criminals and that justice will be served when everything is over with in his cases due to the fact that he is not guilty on all the charges he presently faces. Cox goes on to state "The point that I want to reach out to you and everyone one else is that I'm not a serial,Brutal killer as Larry Godwin betrays me as they charged me with acts that I did not do and that's the truth from me to you".



As I have stated police sources close to this case have told me that Cox maybe guilty of killing police officer Ed Vidulich but it was in self defense. Those same sources also state that instructions were given to obstruct justice in this matter.Sources also state that homicide detectives were told to leave certain evidence out of the record,such as the report that was taken by a white male whose first name is Elliot that he was raped by Vidulich,and a black male who stated that the officer had paid him as much as $500 to have sex with him.

In the case of Elliot I spoke with his mother several months ago who confirmed that her son and told her that he had done some work for Vidulich and that when he went to shower the massive police officer entered the shower with him uninvited.Those same sources state that Lt. Mark Miller told several investigators to suppress certain evidence that would show that Dexter Cox struggled with the nearly 7 foot police officers,and the knife that was found on the kitchen floor was never to be known about.

I'm also told that Cox is being railroad by Godwin to revenge the death of his friend and that the hope is that Cox will take a plea so that the case never has to go to trial because of the tampering of evidence and reports. I'm also told by sources that other cases against Cox have no chances of being proven because the bullets don't match in the case of Herbert Wooten,And that in the case of Gwendolyn Cherry a witness states that the woman was shot by a white male who placed a hood over his head and walked down the street after the woman was shot.

While Dexter Cox is no angel and may be guilty of some crimes he should not face the death penalty or the rest of his life in prison just so a personal vendetta can be served. Since I know that the FBI monitors this site here's a case for you to investigate. It's time that Godwin and members of the homicide bureau hear the sounds of DOT, DOT,DOT, TAP,TAP,TAP.

WHY WAS THE "PINK PANTY" COLONEL PROMOTED?

Sources from the 12th floor of 201 Poplar state that some of Police Director Larry Godwin's closet associates are upset over the fact that he allowed Toney "Pink Panties"Armstrong to skip a whole ranking level to become a Colonel. Armstrong who was just promoted to the rank of Major in April should have been promoted to Lt. Colonel before receiving the rank of Colonel.

Sources go on to say that Majors,Jeff Clark,Bubba Starnes,Mike Rawlings,Anthony Berryhill, T.Cook,S.Eason, R. Houston, T. Landrum, J.Oakley,And Joe Scott all received their ranks in April at the same time that Armstrong did and are now wondering what "The Pink Panties" Colonel did for the director for this quick rise in status.

Armstrong has been placed in charge of the downtown precinct and placed over Lt. Colonel Vennetta Moon who I'm told is upset over Armstrong's placement over her,And is wondering also why Godwin promoted the 6 month Major to Colonel especially since he has less time on the force then any of the other Majors promoted with him in April.

Sources state that the reason is clear as to why Armstrong who is about to be sued along with the City of Memphis and Godwin by Sgt Caroline Mason for allowing "Pink Panties" to be passed around the homicide department to represent homicide cases that were as easy as getting into a woman's panties,And that reason is that Armstrong used his position as the head of homicide to obstruct justice in the case of Dexter Cox in the killing of Godwin's close friend Ed Vidulich.

During the investigation of Cox I'm told by sources close to the case that evidence was tampered with, Some facts were not included in reports that prove that Dexter Cox did not commit first degree murder. Some investigators have had a hard time sleeping and have been talking to purge themselves of being a part of a railroad job put in place by Godwin and Armstrong. Some investigators didn't do away with what they were told to get rid of or not report but kept copies to protect themselves in the future if the FBI gets involved. All of the information has been passed on to Cox's attorney including the names of the officers involved.

I'm told by the 12th floor sources that when the department and the DA's office has to present evidence in discovery that that the case against Cox will be shown to be very weak. In fact Cox's lawyer may just call homicide investigators to the stand to question them about there investigation to see if they will lie under oath about the information that he has concerning them. It's well known from the confession that I was given and what Godwin stated in his press conference prior to knowing that I already had Cox's confession to police that something is mighty wrong with whats being told by MPD.

Is it possible that Godwin wanted to charge Dexter Cox with First degree murder so badly while knowing that the evidence shows that he acted in self defense, That he gave Armstrong instructions to make sure that Cox didn't walk but face death or life in prison. Police sources believe that promoting Armstrong was Godwin's way of paying him for the blood that's on his hands,Including the cover up he provided for OCU officer Frank Hannah in December of last year in the death of a 19 year old that was ran over and then shot in North Memphis.

Armstrong may soon find out that he's not as well thought of as he may think and that some of his fellow comrades in blue may provide information that sinks his ship.

IT'S TIME FOR JANIS TO ADMIT THAT SHE HAS A PROBLEM

It's time for City Council woman Janis Fullilove to come clean and admit that she has a drinking and gambling problem and then take steps to do something about it. Fullilove who was released on yesterday after spending the night in a Mississippi jail for driving under the influence and refusing to take the breath test must save herself before she kills herself or someone else.

So called friends of Janis have allowed her to continue her downward spiral without truly being a friend and telling her that she's a drunk. This unfriendly gesture has allowed her not to take the proper steps to save her life because she has felt that she will be accepted no matter what.

Janis has been angry with me, Even though we spoke recently for calling her out on air several months ago when I posted pictures of her car after an accident that almost killed a child. While Janis and I have had our disagreements on various subjects, My public rebuking of her is because I do care for her and know that as a person who loves public attention she doesn't want to publicly embarrass. But it was my hope that the embarrassment would make her look at herself and seek help,which she didn't. Janis cannot be helped until she first comes to grips that ahe has a problem.

There are some already in the community calling for the outster of Fullilove from the council. But neither the council nor anyone else has the power to remove her from office she was elected by the district that represents her and only they have the power to remove her in 4 years.

But the same people who we may hear calling for her to be removed and call her unfit are the same ones who never said a word when Wyeth Chandler a known public drunk was mayor of this city. There has been no public outcry for Police Director Larry Godwin to remove two officers recently that were arrested for DUI and both refused the breath test. So in respect to that only Fulliove knows whether she should remain in office.

I know that Janis has a deep desire to serve this community,But I also know that she has demons within herself to deal with. She needs to take a long look at herself and make the best decision for herself. She must first realize that she has a problem and as a public official state that publicly and then check herself into a treatment center. Being an At-Large council member does not leave her district without representation there would still be at least 3 -4 council members to cover the issues of the citizens her Super District represents.

There is no doubt Janis Fullilove has a problem,But it's a problem that many in this community face neither personally or through a family member. Some times people want to take the stance that public figures are not human and share the same plights in life as everyone else. If Janis does not seek immediate help for herself and face up to the fact that she has a alcohol problem then she saying to all of us "I don't care about any one's life including my own,I don't care whose life I may take because of my drinking". If Janis refuses to admit her problem and seek help the citens of her district should ask her to resign because it will be proven that she does not care about them as she has stated because it may be one of them she runs into and kills.

As it turns out, Joe the Plumber, as he became nationally known when Senator John McCain made him a theme at Wednesday’s final presidential debate, may work in the plumbing business, but he is not a licensed plumber.

Thomas Joseph, the business manager of Local 50 of the United Association of Plumbers, Steamfitters and Service Mechanics, based in Toledo, said Thursday that Mr. Wurzelbacher had never held a plumber’s license, which is required in Toledo and several surrounding municipalities. He also never completed an apprenticeship and does not belong to the plumber’s union, which has endorsed Mr. Obama. On Thursday, he acknowledged that he does plumbing work even though he does not have a license.

His full name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher. And he owes back taxes, too, public records show. The premise of his complaint to Mr. Obama about taxes may also be flawed, according to tax analysts. Contrary to what Mr. Wurzelbacher asserted and Mr. McCain echoed, neither his personal taxes nor those of the business where he works are likely to rise if Mr. Obama’s tax plan were to go into effect, they said.

None of that is likely to matter to those who see Mr. Wurzelbacher as a symbol of the entrepreneurial spirit they hope to foster with tax cuts, but even Mr. Wurzelbacher said he was shocked by all the attention.

“I’m kind of like Britney Spears having a headache,” he told The Associated Press on Thursday. “Everybody wants to know about it.”

Just five days ago, Mr. Wurzelbacher, 34, lived in anonymity in Holland, Ohio, a single father who, as he said on national television, worked all day and came home to fix dinner and help his son, 13, with his homework.

But he became the hero of conservatives and Republicans when he stopped Mr. Obama, who was campaigning on his street, and asked whether he believed in the American dream. Mr. Wurzelbacher said he was concerned about having to pay higher taxes as an owner of a small business.

“I’m getting ready to buy a company that makes $250,000 to $280,000 a year,” he told Mr. Obama. “Your new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn’t it?”

That encounter wound up on YouTube and led to appearances on the Fox News Channel, interviews with conservative bloggers and a New York Post editorial, all of whom seized on a small part of Mr. Obama’s long reply. “I think that when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody,” Mr. Obama had said.

Mr. McCain invoked Mr. Wurzelbacher in Wednesday’s debate as a way to criticize Mr. Obama’s tax plan and wealth-sharing argument, and picked up the theme again on Thursday.

“You know what Senator Obama had to say to Joe? That he wanted to spread his wealth around,” Mr. McCain said at an event in Downingtown, Pa. “America didn’t become the greatest nation on earth by spreading the wealth,” he said. “We became the greatest nation by creating new wealth.”

After some version of “Joe the Plumber” was mentioned two dozen times during the debate, Mr. Wurzelbacher found news crews outside his home and Katie Couric on the phone.

Mr. Wurzelbacher told reporters that the company he works for, Newell Plumbing & Heating, has two full-time employees: himself and the owner, Al Newell.

Neither Mr. Newell nor Mr. Wurzelbacher responded to telephone calls. And Mr. Wurzelbacher has provided only vague information on his and the company’s finances since talking to Mr. Obama. But if the plumbing business remained a two-person company and the net proceeds — after deductions for business expenses — were shared by the two men, both incomes would most likely fall well below the top tax brackets on which Mr. Obama wants to raise rates, as would the company itself.

Both, in fact, would probably be eligible for a tax cut, said Bob Williams, senior research associate at the independent, nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, though the cut would probably be greater under Mr. McCain’s tax plan than Mr. Obama’s.

According to public records, Mr. Wurzelbacher has been subject to two liens, each over $1,100. One, with a hospital, has been settled, but a tax lien with the State of Ohio is still outstanding.

In his interview with Ms. Couric, Mr. Wurzelbacher, who voted Republican in Ohio’s March primary, said that his encounter with Mr. Obama had been prompted by his desire “to ask one of these guys a question, and really corner them and get them to answer a question for once instead of tap dancing around it. And unfortunately I asked the question, but I still got a tap dance.”

He added, “He was almost as good as Sammy Davis Jr.”

REPUBLICANS ARE SCARED SO THEY ARE STOOPING TO NEW LOWS

Since republicans know that their candidate can't win on the issues some are stooping to blatant racist tactics to draw support for John McCain whose political ship is about to sink. A republican woman's group is distributing what is suppose to be a food stamp coupon stating that Barack Obama's picture will appear on it when he's elected and not on U.S. currency.

GODWIN PROMOTES PINK PANTY OFFICER

Police Director Larry Godwin has promoted the Homicide detective that allowed Pink Panties to be passed around as a symbol of cases being as easy as getting into a woman panties. Tony Armstrong has been promoted to the status of Colonel.

Armstrong's allowance of THE PINK PANTIES and Godwin's promotion shows that the director feels that the actions of Armstrong were right.

Sources on the the 12th floor state that Godwin is rewarding Armstrong for doing such a great job in covering up evidence in the Ed Vidulich case, where I first got my hands on the confession of Dexter Cox who has been indicted for the death of Godwin's close friend. But what Godwin does not realize is that other homicide detectives know about the cover up of evidence and has passed on information to Cox's lawyer an myself.

Those same sources also state that Armstrong covered the police killing of 18 year old Timothy Jones at the hands of OCU officer Frank Hannah who was shot three times including once in the back as confirmed by the Medical Examiner. There were also bruises that appeared to come from being ran over by the officer's car. Sources on the 12th floor state that the yes in fact Hannah ran over Jones and then shot him to cover himself. Sources within the MPD also feel that the recent surge of officers finding themselves in trouble is do to the lack of confidince that they have in police administration. I'm told that officers don't feel that as long as Godwin is in charge that they have someone that they can discuss the rigors of the job with. Many officers also can not understand why Willie Herenton has allowed the department to go so downhill. They state that the department is so tense that an officer going ballistic on the job would not be surprising.

I guess a promotion and an increase in pay and status is enough to wash blood from your hands. But what Tony needs to be concerned about is what I know about the Dexter Cox case as told to me by sources close to this case that could get him Federally indicted.

DID GODWIN GIVE CONRAD PERMISSION TO USE OFFICERS IN HIS POLITICAL AD AND CAROLINE MASON WAS SUSPENSED FOR BEING A GOOD MOM IN THE CA?

Recently Memphis Homicide Detective Caroline Mason was suspended for one day for appearing in the Commercial Appeal which celebrated her for being a good mom. Even though she asked for permission she was refused,Even though fellow police officer Cari Cooper was given permission to appear in the same type of article sponsored by midsouthmoms.com.

Godwin seems to be digging himself deeper into a hole that eventually is going to make mason a very rich woman because now the question must be asked Is Caroline Mason purposely being mistreated by the director. The reason I ask this is because in a commercial produced by Kemp Conrad a candidate for city council police officers are shown in gear that identifies them as Memphis Police Officers. Within the first 10 seconds of the ad 3 officers are seen talking with Conrad with MPD Police on their backs. Did Godwin give these officers permission to appear in a political ad. Isn't there a provision in the city charter that prohibits such practices?

Surely these officers had permission from Godwin,And if they did why would he give police officers the okay to appear in a political ad and not allow Mason to be lauded for being a good mom?

Or is it okay for officers to be used in Conrad's spot since he has close ties to mayor Willie Herenton and his son Rodney. It's reported that when Rodney's wife Andrea killed a motorist on the expressway several years ago it was Conrad's home that she had just left in a drunken stupor. There are members of the Republican Party that believe that Conrad will be a yes man for the desires of the mayor. Was Godwin told that it was okay for the officers to be used in the ad or did Conrad think that because of his relationship with the mayor that it would be okay.

It must also be remembered that in 2003 when he was the chairmen of the Shelby County Republican Party he fought against against fellow republican John Willingham running against Herenton for mayor. His being elected now would not benefit the city because he's already in the back pocket of the mayor.

I'm sure that Caroline Mason will make sure that her attorney investigates as to if the officers appearing in the ad had permission from Godwin to do so and why they were allowed and she was denied. The city may want to go on and settle now because it surely seems that Godwin is abusing Mason with malice for her filing a lawsuit against him and Kenny Armstrong and the city for PINK PANTY GATE.

The information printed in today's Commercial Appeal should come as no surprise to anyone since I've been writing about what was going on Beale Street since October 16,2006. Much of the information that the city is presently using to go after John Elkington is based on the leads given them by this site.

This site produced documents that proved that Elkington was using funds from the Historic District to finance other projects all under the banner of Performa Real Estate and Entertainment,Which also showed connections to developer E,W. Moon. It was I who decided last year to go before the city council to ask them to investigate where the funds from Beale Street were going. So the big main stream media outlet was not the source of investigation or the source that broke the story,In fact the CA and most other outlets ignored this story until they could actually see that what I was reporting was the facts.

But this story is far from over because the more Rickey Wilkins digs at $50,000 per month which is reported to be what he's being paid by the city for this investigation the more he will find that Elkington is not alone in the co-mingling of funds. If Wilkins will ask the right questions and look under the right rocks he will also find That the Beale Street Development Corporation does not have clean hands either and that perhaps the same crimes that BSDC director Randle Catron says Elkington is guilty of he himself may be just as guilty of.

Wilkins should check the corporate status of BSDC and see if the organization is complying with all the legal rules of a 501c3. He should also ask for the reports on where the funds are that were taken in for rental of the Old Daisy. Maybe he should also ask where are the funds from liquor sales that were only suppose to be used under a limited liquor permit. Wilkins should also seek to find if Catron has used funds from The Old Daisy which is city property for his and his wife's personal use, Which would violate the 501c3 status of the organization. Which would also mean that he has used funds belonging to the city for his personal use. Catron should be asked if he used funds from Beale Street to place a roof on his wife's business on Lamar.

Catron states that he has not received any funds from the street in 25 years, But he should be asked how he survived all these years. He should also be asked how much money has he borrowed from Elkington over the years for BCDC. While Wilkins is at it maybe he should ask Catron where the rent money goes from the Plush Club which BSDC owns. That's enough to get Wilkins started but there is more when he runs out of things to investigate . Wouldn't want to stop that $50,000 per month would we?

CAROLINE MASON IS THE TARGET OF RETALIATION AND DISCRIMINATION BY MPD

Memphis police officials state that the reason that Sgt Caroline Mason received a one day suspension for appearing in the Commercial Appeal on September 11,2008 in an article featuring her not as a police officer but as a mother is because she didn't receive permission to do so.

But what police officials don't state is that Mason made the request but was denied. One might ask "Then why did she do the interview if it had not been cleared?". The answer is simple there's no policy that says she had to. Mason was just being professional in asking but there is no policy that states that a police officer as a private citizen can not be interviewed or featured in the news discussing their private life. The policy states that no officer can be a part of a news story to discuss police issues or cases without permission. It also states that no officer can be interviewed if they are in uniform or featured in such a way to I.D. themselves as police officers.

In the article presented by midsouthmoms.com Mason is featured as a mother of three children. She does not mention any case at all in the article,And when asked "Do you have any secret for pulling confessions from suspects" she replies "I have the ability to get to the soul of a man through conversation,it works every time. But never once does she mention any case that she has used her ability on.

The crime scene tape shown in the photo is a prop used by the photographer taking the picture and is not the property of the Memphis Police department. In fact crime scene tape used by MPD reads "MEMPHIS POLICE DO NOT CROSS".

Cari Cooper a Memphis Police officer has also this year been featured in the CA by midsouthmoms.com,But official state that she received permission. But why would Cooper be given permission and not Mason? Is Larry Godwin promoting discrimination within the department? Why was the White woman given permission and the Black woman wasn't? Why would a officer who is known internationally by being featured weekly on The First 48 be denied while an officer who brags about her breast implants is given permission to be portrayed as a good mother.

Is Godwin out to get Mason because she is in the process of filing a multi-million dollar EEOC lawsuit against him, The city,And her commander Tony Armstrong for the passing around of pink panties as a trophy of solving a case that was as easy as getting in a woman's panties. A practice that Mason had complained about as being an insult to her and to victims which Armstrong paid no attention. Godwin was also aware of the practice and stated in a local news report that "it was just a joke"

Cooper who is reported to have received an commendation from Godwin for being featured is seen in the article in uniform and standing beside a MPD squad car,While Mason is seen standing beside a prop that does not even represent the police department. This department which has had numerous EEOC complaints filed under Godwin's watch has open the door for mason to add on to the lawsuit that she is about to file. It's plain to see that Godwin is practicing discrimination in allowing a White female to be featured in a news article while denying a black female the same opportunity. And to add salt to the wound he allows the suspension of the Black officer while patting the White officer on the back.

Its sad that a officer who has never had a write up in over 20 years on the force has to be treated so badly because Godwin appears to be racist and tony Armstrong seems to be petty. Armstrong is said by sources to have always had a problem with the fame that mason received from The First 48 and since he's going to be a part of the lawsuit is attempting to make the work environment for Mason uncomfortable.

The other sad thing is, Now everyone knows that Cari Cooper's breast are not the real thang

IS FORMER POLICE OFFICER CHANCY JONES OUT TO KILL OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS OF THE WOMAN THAT HE HAS ALREADY CONFESSED TO MURDERING

The family of Phyllis Malone who was shot three times by former police officer Chancy Jones will seek immediately to have Jones $200,000 bond revoked after he appeared twice on the job of Malone's sister Ophelia Harris.

Harris was awaken this morning by supervisors from her job at Burlington Northern Railroad banging on her door concerned that perhaps Jones had gone harm to her after showing up on her job. Surveillance cameras caught Jones at the railroad yard wandering around and then leaving. After he returned a second time he was approached by employees who state that then he asked for an application for employment.

Jones was aware that Harris and her father Clarence Malone were to appear on my Tuesday radio show to discuss there plans to attempt to have his second degree murder charge upgraded to first degree. It is the feeling of Ophelia Harris that Jones had plans to stop her from talking.

Harris stated on my show that her sister who was the mother of five children met Jones several months ago when he answered a domestic violence call at the home of Phyllis Malone. The family states as Malone's boyfriend at the time was being arrested Jones gave her his number and stated that he would like to see her again. It's also interesting that the former boyfriend and Jones wife both work at the Penal Farm,Hmmmmm.

On the night of September 9,2008 Phyllis was to meet Jones at the convenience store on Whitten Road to pick up some money from the officer. But what Jones didn't know was that another of Malone's sisters was in the car. Before Malone met Jones she dropped off her sister Cynthia at her 11-7AM job. While in the car Cynthia her a cell phone conversation between her sister and Jones and was told by Malone of her plans to meet Jones.

Jones confession of killing Malone states that he was in the car with her when he got out and went to his car,Got a handgun out,re-entered the car and fired three shots,striking Malone once in the right side of the head,Once in the right side of her chest, And once in the right torso. So how can the police charge him with second degree murder when its clear by his own omission that he went and got the gun and returned to her car and shot her?

Another fact that has not been released is the fact that Jones tried to make the shooting to appear to be a robbery. Jones took the woman's purse away from the scene which was found down the street from the shooting. Inside the purse there was an envelope with the name 'Chancy" on it. He also did away with her cell phone that had his number in it,But he didn't know that she had a second phone that contained text messages that he had sent. It was the sister who told police who the "Chancy" was that was on the envelope,And that was the person who her sister was to meet.

Did Jones have in his mind this morning when he appeared on Ophelia Jones job to shoot her to silence her like he did her sister? Chancy Jones is a threat to the Malone family and maybe his own wife and children and should have his bond revoked. District Attorney Bill Gibbons should immediately upgrade the second degree murder charge to first degree and order the bond revoked and Jones returned to 201 Poplar.

Jones is a confessed murderer who knows that there is a great chance that his charge will be upgraded and that he will spend the rest of his life in prison so he has nothing to lose by killing someone else. He needs to be removed from society before that happens.

Sources on the 12th floor of 201 Poplar that are very close to Police Director Larry Godwin state that they have warned him not to use his position to retaliate against homicide detective Caroline Mason for filing a lawsuit against the city and MPD for allowing pink panties to be used as a sign of easy cases which were stated "To be as easy as getting in a woman's panties" but he refused to take heed and has placed charges against the detective for appearing in a Commercial Appeal article on good moms.



Sources state that a hearing is planned for today (Tuesday) at 1:oo PM on the 11th floor before Major Jeff Scott. Masons charges were typed up by a Black female LT.by the name of Venus Owens,and Mason was served by a Major Berryhill also a Black officer. Some on the 12th floor feel that Godwin used Black officers so that Mason could not claim discrimination, but it won't work because I guess he forgot that a White female officer by the name of Cari Cooper was also featured in the CA as a good mom and he gave her a letter of accommodation.



Officer Cari Cooper was featured on June 11,2008 in a feature that is entitled "Spotlight on Moms" in the article she is pictured standing beside a squad car. Cooper states in her article that she has a 6 year old daughter, She speaks of how she works out and work but still has time to care for her child. In the article Cooper is asked "Whats your most extravagant purchase ever" and her reply is "Breast implants". In a response in the CA 's editorial page a citizen replied to the CA writing about Cooper's implants by saying:

Your June 12 "Spotlight on Mom" feature about Memphis Police Officer Cari Cooper was quite disturbing to me as a mother. The article provided by midsouthmoms.com stated that Cooper is the mother of a 6-year-old daughter and is a Girl Scout leader. It also referred to her most embarrassing moment with her child, which happened at church, then proceeded to tell us that her most extravagant purchase ever was "breast implants." The article also stated that her favorite beauty tip is "whatever makes you feel sexy, do it."


I would encourage midsouthmoms.com to edit the material they provide to The Commercial Appeal, and The Commercial Appeal needs to edit the material it publishes in the paper. This article was to be a "Spotlight on Mom," but instead became a lengthy topic of conversation and jokes on Geoff Calkins' June 12 sports radio show.


I'm not sure of the purpose of such information being allowed to be printed in the paper, but can only assume it was done in poor judgment. In the future, please consider the message you want to send about the person you are spotlighting.

In Mason's article there is no mention of her being a police officer other than the CA stating that he was featured on "The first 48". This article was to portray Mason as a mother and not a police officer so why is the director upset. It would seem that Godwin would be as proud of Mason as he is of Cooper for showing another side of officers than carrying a gun and arresting bad guys.



The fact that Godwin has filed charges against Mason proves that he is using his position to go after Mason for filing the lawsuit. Godwin's action of filing charges against mason for appearing in the CA but yet giving an accommodation to Cooper for doing the very same thing in the very same newspaper shows discrimination, Which opens the door to another lawsuit.



When will mayor Willie Herenton realize that Godwin is becoming a bigger liability by the day? Is Godwin acting as the Lone Ranger or does he have Herenton's blessing in harnessing Mason? This hearing was supposed to be a sneak attack that the community was to know nothing about but those close to Godwin who are tired of his self serving and lowdown ways made sure that I was aware of what was about to happen. Some believe that now that I have exposed Godwin's plan that he will change the hearing to another date,But what he does not realize is that whenever he chooses to abuse his authority and attack Mason I will be made aware in amoments notice by those who he thinks is loyal to him by yet is waiting for his fall.

A hearing has been set on the 11th floor of 201 Poplar for tommorrow at 1PM to file charges against homicide detective Caroline Mason for being featured in the Commercial Appeal as not only a good cop but an excellent mom.

It is felt by sources within the department that Police Director Larry Godwin is out to get Mason any way he can since she is preparing to file a multi-million dollar lawsuit against MPD for allowing a size 55 pair of pink panties to be passed around the homicide office as a symbol of detectives having cases as easy as getting into a woman's panties.

Tonight I will give the full details of this matter along with the door that Goodwin may be opening for another lawsuit by Mason since he didn't bring a White female officer,Cary Cooper up on charges when she also was featured in the CA as a mom.

Chancy Jones now a former City of Memphis Police officer recently shot his girlfriend Phylis Malone once in the right of the head,Once in the right side of her chest,And once in the right side of her torso. After killing the woman Jones went to work as a police officer patrolling the streets of Memphis to arrest others for breaking the law.

Some have wondered what could have set this man off in such a rage with the woman who according to Malone's family had been having an affair with for months. Surely the threat of the woman telling his wife about their affair would not be enough for him to shoot her three times in cold blood.

On Tuesday at 4Pm on "The Thaddeus Matthews" Show maybe we can find out some of the answers that the public wants to know about this affair as Phylis Malone's father and sister are my guest. The family is very upset over the fact that Jones was only charged with second degree murder and has hired attorney Javier Bailey to look into why the charge was downgraded when according to the statement Jones gave to police states that he was inside the car with Malone and got out went back to his car and got a gun and then shot the woman three times.

The family is also concerned over the fact that Jones whose out on a $200,000 bond was not made to pay the normal 10% or $20,000 to the bonding company,And released back on the streets after only paying $5,000 to ASAP Bonding Company. Many times bonding companies who are in competition with each other will take a large down payment on a bond and allow payments while they stand for the complete bond with the courts.

Exactly 13 years to the day after being cleared in the death of his wife O.J. Simpson was found guilty of kidnapping and robbery. Johnny Currin brother of Deputy Director Janice Pilot has been a friend of mine for several years. Currin whose rank is that of a Colonel is highly respected and will be deeply missed. Currin is known as a fair officer who wanted only to make a difference.

While I have never personally met Major Danny Cooper,I do know that he has never been allowed a promotion under Godwin. It's most likely because it was Cooper who lead the investigation against Godwin some years ago when the now director was out of his area laying up with a female officer Stacks and lied about his location.

Deputy Chief Steve Cole is a man that no one has anything negative to say about. Every time I see him he also shakes my hand and has something pleasant to say. Black and White officers have stated to me that you can't find a better policeman or man then Steve Cole and many regret seeing him depart from a police department that need more men like him in a leadership role.

I was told that the ticket is good for two,So my driver and myself will bring our cameras and tape recorders to cover this grand event there's no telling what I may hear or be told that I can come here and report.

Even though there was no clear winner in tonight's debate between Joe Biden and Sarah Palin,Palin did better than I expected. While being very folksy Palin had been prepped well for her national debut. However nothing that she said in my opinon would change a person's mind about voting for John McCain.

Joe Biden seemed more at ease discussing issues even choking up when speaking of his son. It was very apparent that Biden is better prepared to become President in case of the sickness or death of Barack Obama then Palin who while liking good on TV comes across as the mom next door who happens to be in charge of a little state called Alaska.

IS WILLIAM SONOMA GUILTY OF BREAKING FEDERAL VOTING RIGHT LAWS?

HERE'S AN EMAIL I RECEIVED FROM AN EMPLOYEE OF WILLIAM SONOMA:

Mr. Matthews I am emailing you about an incident that happened on my job today. A young black man who works at Williams Sonoma Mailorder Distribution Center who is hired there through a temporary service called ASAP. Today he was wearing a tee shirt with Barack Obama's picture on the front of it and on the back of the was an image of Mr. Obama. This white lady who is in charge of the people who are hired there through ASAP, I don't know her title, but she told this young man that he had to turn his shirt around backwards because it was offensive to someone who came over in our building from another building however she never said who it was. The young man of course not knowing any better and fearful of losing his job complied to her order. News spreaded in the warehouse and I was very angry along with some others. I was told that a young lady who works there who is employed by Williams Sonoma, went to her manager and ask him when did this lady get the right to do that. A while later we heard Ms Lott page the young man on the pa system and she told him that he could turn his shirt back around because he does have political rights. I passed them walking through the warehouse and she was buttering him up by telling him that she liked the shirt and that if it was hers she would wear it.( I really don't know if the black manager talked to her or who, because a lot of things that go on in that warehouse are hush, hush. I tried to call in to your show but I could'nt get through. I listen to your program daily, thank you for being there with all of the informative information. I am proudly voting for Mr. Obama and believing that he is going to win. If you have the time, please voice this information on your show.
