Mayor Wharton I saw the other day in Starbuck's laughing and doing a good skinning with every white person you could find. I guess after today you should see you are being played. All bets are out on you. The white community is slowing moving from you. They are betting on Myron Lowery, Carol Chumney and you to bring the ball back home to them.
Next time in there, get a cup of coffee and wake-up, and get your butt in the black community. As long as you were running aganist the mayor-as in Herenton you were their boy, now the game is changing. A blind person can see you are slowly being sold up the river.
just the fact that mayor wharton is using your stupid show to get his message to your north memphis counterparts is proof positive that he is smart enough to get the few votes that you and yours have. that is if he shows up.
Mr. Wharton should use his "indispensable talents" to finish "his" commitment Shelby County's Voters elected him to in 2006... being the Chief Executive Officer or as he loves to be called County Mayor!
Otherwise, the Voters of Memphis (who are also Voters of Shelby County too!) might have to spend another $1 million for a special election to replace the "Position" he would vacate if elected to the Memphis Mayor slot.
Wharton has been "term limited" as County Mayor and he should take his ass home or go back to his law practice. His tenure as County Mayor has been a financial disaster for the voters of Shelby County. The County's debt has grown from about $766 million dollars in 1993, to build those 30 county schools for mostly white kids whose parents didn't want their children to attend school with Blacks... to about $2.1 Billion today. Much of this increase in County Debt occurred because of Wharton's Republican political handlers philosophy toward "refinance" of real estate debt... the current recession speaks to what I mean!

It's not that he is not black enough its' that he is not progressive enough. Someone ask me what do you want him to do. If I have to tell him what this community needs then what is he doing running for or holding office. Memphis has the highest crime rate in the country, has been declared the most lousy, unsafe city in America by all the polls that are out. Memphis is in Shelby county, Mayor Wharton is County Mayor. When asked to run for City Mayor when the city really needed a change and new direction he backed out. I man who won't standup when the people need him, should not come along and ask for their vote when the smoke clears. He seems to talk about the problems but never has any solutions.
This is a "YES MAN" in the best form out there and thats what the POWERS-at-BE want so very much. Memphis, will you ever look at who's more qualified then just the color of one's skin? Mayor Wharton has not done a dam thing for the employees at shelby county government. While the administrators and top CAO's are sitting around gossiping, showing favortism of jobs and employees, eating out, traveling we at the bottom are doing all the work. Most of the employees are just awaiting retirement so they can leave. The employees who actually work and assit in the daily process of running the operation are over looked. It does not matter if you are educated or not, they would rather hire a thug or someone off the street before promoting employees within an office, especially if you show all of your breast or ass. Some employees were left out of a 5% raise in county government. He does not care about us, we are not stealing it is the big dogs, the ones at the top and in his case he is stealing as well. He does not look after the employees at all. Insurance is going up, but we are getting no raise, but he can find money for the dam rape crisis center because the dam white people want something done because the little girl raped was white. I agree with Mayor Herenton, if the girl had of been black no one would have done a dam thing. Memphis is full of Uncle Tom's and prejudice whites. This city will never grow. I would not vote for Wharton if he was the last negro on earth. Wake up REAL black sisters and brothers!

And the Commercial Appeal has decided not to report the result of polls that paint such a dismal picture of Memphis, TN.
Obviously the Commercial Appeal is doing this to suck up to the black majority in this city to gain a few new subscribers to counter the white flight from their subscriber lists. The picture stories of blacks in the CA just isn't working. Maybe there is some hope for the black community in wising up to the CA. It's too bad they haven't wised up at the polls.

I want to know how can he fire over 200 people from The Med and hire his daughter-in-law as VP of Legal Affairs? How can he run for city mayor and not give up his county mayor's seat? What about the investigation who took the Benz throught inspection?

Where will the usual sexual perverts hang out the day that AC, DC, [whatever] appears on your perverted show? No doubt, Matthews will avoid talking about female parts having one of the few educated guests that ever appear on his show there for a few soft questions. Ask AC about his family, the one in Knoxville, for instance. That's more along your train of thought.

My concern is what Warts has done for the taxpayers. To hell with employees that think their bosses are there daddies. They are their employers.

To answer that one, he will have to confer with his mentor, Willie Herenton. Willie resigns early and costs the city millions in pensions for the undeserved and in an election for a successor. Now Willie with an immmoral alliance with Wharton, we find that the two of them are also causing a special county election in the event Wharton slips in on the greasy path Willie has paved for him. This alone is enough to keep me from voting for Willie Wharton, a name he should inherit.

I have been reading comments on several blogs on this website tonight. I can't believe how racist blacks are against other blacks. It appears that blacks are their own worst and biggest enemy...especially considering the black on black crime. I have never heard a white, mexican, or asian person say that someone of their own race is not white, mexican, or asian enough. I guess you can pretty much tell someones education level if they think they can't vote for someone because they are not "black" enough. If you are that dumb, you should be banned from voting.
