Lousy if he were to win would not be serving his own term but carrying out the term of Herenton..
Myron has fired Ricky Wilkins based on a lie stating that his firm was charging excessive fees when he as a council member approved the rate of pay. Why won't Myron discuss the rate of pay that the firm he chose to replace Wilkins makes? The answer is simple because the firm is White and the White folk that pull his chain told his race trading ass not to.
Lousy is fearful to comment on the report from MLGW, I posted on Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz one of the largest law firms in the South which is also the same firm that he chose to replace Wilkins. Lousy wants the White community to see him in a different light than the rest of the Black community. He's willing to dance and scratch and play the role of Steppin-Fetchit to appease the White community so as to bend and pick up the crumbs that his White handlers allow to fall to the ground.
Now because it pleases Whites and he has no back bone at all he wants to go after the legal fees of Joseph Lee which were approved by the MLGW board which as a council member he was aware of. But how can he go after the legal fees of Lee without speaking of the nearly $5 million dollars that have been paid to the Baker Donelson group?
Why is it that no other media has reported on the legal fees paid to this law firm? Jenny Deprazio of Tv stations 24?30 requested and received the same info that I did from MLGW but as of yet has not reported on the EXCESSIVE fees being paid including the raise given them in April of this year. I wonder if Myron or any other media outlet report that Baker Donelson backed out of representing the city in the Beale Street issue?

There are several attorneys on payroll but very few legal matters are handled. The work is given out to others. The proof is the bills you were able to get. Myron stated in an interview with channel 13 that local businesses want Bass Pro to come here. Myron stated that Fed Ex want Bass Pro here. If Fed Ex want Bass Pro here let them pay for it. When the President of MLGW was previously working for the city he was involved in a scandal about helping Whites with no seniority to get answer to tests in order so they could be promoted over Blacks.

Thad, I watched the debate tonight. A.C. Wharton and Myron Lowery did not do that well. Channel 3 interviewed Dick Hackett and Dick Hackett stated that he thought that only A.C. Wharton could unify this city. Are the local media saying that A. C. Wharton is more powerful than the teachings of Jesus Christ. Here in Memphis and the surrounding communities there is a church on almost every corner. Matthew 22:39 states "And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." The media act like Dr. Herenton created racism. When it comes to race Dr. Herenton is not the problem. Not once have I heard Dr. Herenton tell Blacks to hate Whites. Also Thad I have never heard you tell Blacks to hate Whites. I have always heard you say that "not all White people are bad and not all Black people are good." The media and the politicians use the issue of race to control the masses. The City of Memphis has had problems for years. Thad, I think that the debate that was held on 9/26/09 by Channel 3 was a game changer. I think that Carrol Chumney and Charles Carpenter did quite well. I liked how Mr. Carpenter highlighted in the debate how the City of Memphis water supply was separate from it's sewage system and that Memphis should capitalize on this and try to attract paper supply companies. Myron Lowery tried to go after A.C. Wharton and Charles Carpenter. Myron Lowery went after Mr. Carpenter and Mr. Wharton for coming on your show. Mr. Carpenter stated that your show was the only one that gave him access to the public where the callers could call in and ask questions. Myron tried to castigate Mr. Carpenter for coming on your show. Myron Lowery is a small minded person that likes to hold a grudge. He let his emotions get the best of him. I like the fact that Mr. Carpenter brought up the fact that he was the only that was not a politician on the panel and how everyone on the panel was talking about what they were going to do even though they were already in elected office.

Ok here is my take on all of this.(note, I said MY take, others are welcome to their own opinion)I think that Myron Lowery is a lying fat little troll trying to please the whites(not all white people just the ones who have made some crooked deals) in the community who have destroyed the city through crooked deals and corruption but do not want their skeletons to come out of the closet. Myron will continue to hid their bad deals and corruption in exchange to run the city. I was so embarassed to say I lived in Memphis when this nut fist bumped the dali lama. Can someone please get him a larger suit! Check out his facebook page there is a picture of him with some nut cutters on. Chumney is too weak for Memphis. The city will eat her up alive and she would crumble under the pressure of city hall. Carpenter has a chance but he needs to stop talking about the comprehensive planning for the city and all of his research... "don't talk about it be about it". At this point in the race AC has my vote. He seems to be the only one with some tact and although he is mild mannered, maybe we need that in this city right now. For so long Memphis has been loud and corrupt. Lets see what happens when we bring calmess to the city. Memphis will become a reflection through the leadership and just maybe AC's demeanor will bring a change to Memphis that we so desperately need. We need to calm down and re-position ourselves to become the great city that we were designed to be!
It is apparent from the posts on this blog that A. C. Wharton is not the man for the job as mayor. He is too much of a sit back guy that just lets the tide roll where it may.

A mayor is needed that will set this city straight and in such a way that blacks and whites might just stop and take a breath.

Thad did you see how the CA called Myron out for campaigning on the job and how he had around $18,000 dollars in his campaign chest. I see now why they didn't want the other candidates like Jerry Lawler or Prince Mongo on the debate, because they would of made those recycled politicians look bad. The only candidate that had a concrete plan was Charles Carpenter. He was the only that stated that in order for the Mid South Fair Grounds to be developed a developer would have to put $50 million dollars up front in order to get the rest of the money from the government. And he seems to be the only that knows how to get stimulus money for the city. He was the only one that stated that the reason college graduates are not staying in Memphis is because of lack of good paying jobs.
