It seems that when Myron Lowery sued Federal Express several years ago the giant overnight air carrier started to dig into the wanna be mayor's past and what they found caused Lowery to file a motion to keep his past out of litigation.
The motion which was given to me by an unknown source speaks of Lowery's domestic abuse of an ex-wife in 1981 which local media has already reported.
But the surprise comes in the fact that mayor Myron Lowery was arrested in 1983 for shoplifting in Indianapolis Indiana and placed in a diversion program where his record was wiped clean in one year.
The motion goes on to state that while employed at FedEx while attempting to break up a fight among high school students visiting the FedEx headquarters Lowery struck a student and was placed on suspension.
Is the wanna be mayor prone to violence and thievery and what about his frequent trips to Tunica where it's rumored that he has had some bad check problems?

The black community is not supporting him and the white community is splitting its votes three ways between Wharton, Chumney, and Lowery. The Commercial Appeal, in its Thursday's editorial urging citizens to vote, only mentions the names of three candidates: A.C. Wharton, Myron Lowery, and Carol Chumney. Not even the outrageous buffoon Kenneth Whalum Jr. is mentioned in the editorial as the CA intentionally makes all the other mayoral candidates appear unworthy and invisible. This is par for the course for the CA, but why would they also publish a cartoon that has Myron Lowery looking like a beach ball?
Charles Carpenter was playing against a stacked deck from the beginning because people wanted to associate him to Willie Herenton. But what i don't understand is, if Willie Herenton would have ran, he probably would have won. The debate was a joke last night. No one really had a good plan for the high crime rate. But one good thing will come out of this election; who ever comes in second, this will give them some momentum for the next election and the other candidates should sat their asses down.

The "Temps" weren't looking for a cut of the pie or an option they could sell to the highest bidder, but of course under the table. Remember the $90,000 plus potato head made on the side with his buddy Moon paving the way. But where is the bus station?

Many of the enemies of Thaddeus Matthews will be crowing this morning that his support of Charles Carpenter was detrimental to Carpenter's campaign. On the contrary, had it not been for the Matthews push for Carpenter, the attorney would not have gained a fourth place finish and would have been regulated to the sorry three-figure finish of somebody like Wanda Halbert, who had much greater name recognition. And Carpenter did prove, with Matthews' support, that he belonged in that Channel 3 debate instead of that fading buffoon Kenneth Whalum, Jr., who could not even outpace Jerry Lawler. We must remember, too, that A.C. Wharton was better financed than Carpenter and had been campaigning for the mayor's job for nearly two years. So considering the circumstances, the virtually unknown Charles Carpenter, with the help of Thaddeus Matthews, didn't fare too badly after all and can now regroup for the 2011 mayoral election.

Well lets see if our new good old boy Mayor will do the right thing and get rid of that loser Larry Godwin 1st and then cleanup the dead-weight at city hall like he did at the county. Just don't big a bigger defict to the city as you left the county AC.
You only got 2 years then this process starts all over again and maybe we can get a FRESH MAYOR the next election and get rid of these career poli-trickster.
I hope Dedrick Stigall runs again be the next time he will get my vote and if he starts promoting himself early maybe he can beat these career politricksters and get some fresh faces and ideals in city hall.
I bet Weeping Wanda, Lowly Lowry, Blinking Chumney, Careless Charles, Throneless Lawler and Wayward Whalum is so shame.

How many times have you been arrested ? How does your arrest record look and Credit Report look. I was one of the ones who was quick to jump on Lowery when he was put into teh Mayor Office. He did not win but i think will work well in City government somewhere. He seem like a good person who wants to help make the City better. You on the other hand is all about trying to make your self look better and it's not working. You helped Carpenter lose the race and Carpenter WILL Never win a race as long as he is associated with Matthews and i am glad to know he is so dumb and keep doing it. I WILL Never vote for him and will tell every person i know not to VOTE for him. If he leaves your stupid ass alone someone might VTORE for him in 2011.
