I wished Ed Ford Sr. was running for mayor cause people like him. He tells it like it is. To late though now. Everyone is running for the power and prestige they get. They forget about the voters that put them in office.

Myron Lowery is gaining ground on A.C.Wharton. Lowery clearly won the last debate on channel 3 so Charles Carpenter, you will really have to come on with it on the debate one day before election. I disagree with Willie Herenton when he said that A C would get about 60% of the votes. I believe he will get approx. 38% of votes.

Didn't Myron Lowery promise to come to the radio station and personally silence Thaddeus Matthews if Matthews said anything else negative about him? Has he ever carried out this threat or what really are his intentions concerning the Matthews anti-Lowery blitz? But maybe he will send Godzilla to stop Matthews. That would be more of a challenge for Matthews than the slow-moving temporary mayor.
After this election Myron Lowery's fat ass is grass! And the black people of Memphis are the lawnmowers. There won't be enough left of Buffalo Butt's humongous rump to fill a small paper bag.
Myron Lowery has been quite impressive in his "telephone town hall" conferences and has really sounded like a real mayor. However, the main problem Myron seems to have is that he doesn't have any common sense. On his first week in office he alienated most of the black voters with his scathing attacks on other black officials. Had he avoided this error, he perhaps could have glided into the permanent post like the Goodyear blimp.
Myron Lowery got cleaned in the election. And how are we ever going to survive with Shamu no longer the First Lady of Memphis?

Myron Lowery now has a week left on his tenure as mayor before A. C. Wharton is sworn in on Oct. 26 to fill the remainder of Willie Herenton's term. Until then you can count on The Commercial Appeal and Channel 3 making this fat man appear as sexy as possible. But to no avail. There is something about a morbidly obese man that just turns people off. And lowery has done such a good job of doing just that---turning people off.

Today, October 21, Mayor Pro Tom Myron Lowery will have one full day left in office. The Shelby County Election Commission wisely decided to move up its certification of the mayoral election to October 22 so A. C. Wharton could be sworn in earlier than the anticipated October 26 date. Myron could have been permanent mayor, but the weight of his arrogance and his blatant Uncle Tomism caused him to sink like the Titanic.
