While Myron Lousy and his CAO Jack Sammons have their city IT man busy working on computer hard drives trying to find anything that they can used against Willie Herenton concerning the Greyhound property deal while leaking that information to the CA I thought I might show them a document that they may not know exist or does not want the public to find out about.
On October 14,2008 then mayor Willie Herenton made a request to city attorney and city ethics officer Elbert Jefferson to investigate and review the Greyhound transaction to determined if there had been any ethics violations concerning what the former mayor states was a private business deal that did not involve his public office.
Herenton also states in the request that no public contracting or public funds were involved in the deal. The request goes on to state that "Reasonable efforts were made to exercise an abundance of caution and discretion in an effort to avoid any conflict of interest or public influence". Let Myron Lowery and his boss, Jack Sammons, search computer hard drives all they want for evidence against Willie Herenton, they are not going to find anything worth anything. Herenton is simply too smart for them and has outfoxed them at every turn. After all. you have a Rolls Royce(Herenton) going up against a Yugo(Lowery) and his mechanic(Jack Sammons). Replacing Dr. Herenton with Myron Lowery temporarily as mayor was tantamount to replacing Thurgood Marshall on the United States Supreme Court with Clarence Thomas. Marshall always fought for racial equality and so has Dr. Herenton. Myron Lowery is more like an oversized Stepin Fetchit shuffling around on a movie sound stage bowing and scraping, rolling his eyes and doing everything in his power to comfort and appease white folks. The sterotypical image of black folks he has projected belongs to another era long before the civil rights movement of the late fifties and early sixties. Even today, at the beginning of the 21st century, Myron Lowery would gladly get on a delapidated cotton-picking bus and head to the fields to chop or pick cotton for three dollars all day long. This is the Lowery legacy: the fat man who brought back all the Negro stereotypes we thought were gone with the wind.
Willie never stated that HE would give his full cooperation....Just the fact that full cooperation would be received.

Sounds to me that he was working as a developer and mayor at the same time.

Just cause Willie asked him to do it, doesn't mean Jefferson did a damn thing. I've talked to attorneys around town and the general sense of it is that Jefferson is a fool, and a terrible lawyer.
Besides that he IS NOT an accountant or auditor. How is his dumb, work avoiding ass fit or qualified to audit anything?
Hell, Willie has a whole staff of internal auditors at the City working directly for him--if his lying ass wanted an audit done, why did he not asked the City Internal Auditor, Liz Moore, to direct the investigation?
Jefferson is just a newer version of LawnMower Joe Lee, a Herenton crony who is lying and cheating and got his dumb ass caught in the ringer.
And IF Herenton did ask for the investigation/audit in 2008, why in hell did it take a year to NOT FINISH IT??

No matter what, that Elbert Richardson was illegally writing checks to take care of the notorious Willie Herenton, slick Willie, whose only real claim to fame now is that he has dodged indictment for several years.
Few will care when he goes to jail. Do we hear anyone whining about John Ford and Roscoe Dixon? Supporters of those two a few years back were cheering them on. Those supporters had no better morals than the two jail birds. The same goes for Willie. For sure, we know that Thaddeus Matthews is about as low ethically and morally as they come. Who is for? Whoever pays him off.
Matthews, if anyone in your family has any respect for you, then, if so, we know why you are what you are.

Why is Herenton making real estate deals privately? The job of mayor is a full time job. At least that's what he stated as the reason for cashing in his vacation days. When did he find the time to do this? The job of mayor IS 24/7. Why have another job? A real estate business is a little more than a hobby. Hell...fishing is a hobby. SMDH. Did he really need someone else to tell him that if not unethical it al least gives the appearance of impropriety? He's an educated man. Hell if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...it's a damn duck!

Poor Jefferson was so busy climbing the ladder that he forgot or didn't have enough sense to "CYA". Now his is exposed for everybody at the bottom of the ladder to look up and see. Where is this man's daddy? He must not have had anybody around when he was growing up to teach him the facts of life per se or mentor him before he entered the rat race.

That cash cow would still be giving and spilling milk money to pay for the expenses of those million dollar rip offs of Spence, Carpenter, Herenton Enterprises, etc. if Willie and Elbert were still within city hall with check book and pen in hand.

Only a dumb ass like "Poor Jefferson" would try to climb the ladder under Willie Herenton as he has just crapped on his head. Now Willie will only let him slip and slide to the bottom. Jefferson's best bet, at this time, is to wipe himself clean with toilet tissue rather than playing out the role of being used as a political pawn.

Elbert seems to be rather simple along with being over his head.and he has a head with nothing in it.
Elbert would at least appear to have the qualities of manhood if he would just move on and out.
The only hope Elbert has is through those inferior city council members who have done the bidding and abetted Willie Herenton in his seventeen years of ripping off both those who voted for and against him.
Soon, we will learn if Memphis has a chance for recovering from the reeling poverty cycle that has become it's fate with the inept voting record of it's citizens who brought all this misery on themselves.
Cohen is no more than a liberal socialist lap dog for those who voted him into office. At least he has given something of value to those people. Willie Herenton has only neglected and harmed those voters. If the voters want a black man regardless of the consequences, then vote for Willie in the congressional race and suffer more from the bad hand he has dealt the citizens of Memphis.
In dumping Charles Carpenter in favor of Olivet ringmaster and Board of Education buffoon Kenneth Whalum Jr., we see the second part of the strategy against Charles Carpenter. The first was to constantly tie him to alleged wrongdoing during the Herenton administration. That was the job of The Commercial Appeal. The second part of the strategy belongs to Channel 3, and that is, by dumping Carpenter in favor of Whalum, who has no chance of winning, the television station wishes to make Carpenter invisible and to remove Thaddeus Matthews from the equation. Carpenter was gaining too much ground in the campaign, but now his absence from the second Channel 3 mayoral debate will serve to give the public the erroneous impression that the Carpenter campaign has faded. The white man never sleeps.

Bill Gibbons and Myron Lowery working together as dumb and dumber along with Jack Sammons, haven't been able to catch the big fish, Willie Herenton,yet. They are still going after that little sardine Elbert Jefferson while that sleazy little Robert Spence laughs in their faces as he enjoys an overflowing bank account.
And so the Elbert Jefferson fiasco started by Mayor Pro Tom Myron Lowery appears to have ended with Jefferson submitting another letter of resignation to the Fat Man of Memphis and Boss Crump Jack Sammons on Sunday. The foolish Bill Gibbons court hearing for Jefferson was also cancelled, probably because the plantation boss did not want to look like a fool trying to oust somebody who was already gone. The entire episode made the City of Memphis appear ridiculous and again revealed that Memphis is still a Mississippi River backwater.
