POLICE OFFICER JUST INDICTED

Just moments ago Lt.Billy Smallwood was walked out of the police Training Academy in handcuffs in federal custody. Sources state that Smallwood who works in auto theft but was in service at the academy this week is in route to Mason Tennessee to be held until his hearing on whatever federal charges he has been indicted on. Sources also state that there is a 2pm press conference where Godwin will report as to what one of Memphis finest has been charged with.

DOES THE $240,000 BLACK SUPT, REALLY CARE ABOUT THE PLIGHT OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY?

The idea for a meeting with Black men to discuss the problems of the Black community and to forulate plans to reduce Black on Black killings was the suggestion of a young Black man who lives in the Klondyke area who feels that something must be done to save Black males young and old and to give young men mentors that are not rap stars or guy running with a ball. I was asked to help with the concept due to the fact I have two mediums to get the message out. Plus I like the young man feel that it's time to stop the excuses,stop waiting on the church and poli-trick-ans and do something to save ourselves.

Tony Hastings pastor of New Bellevue Baptist Church who I contacted to hold the first community meeting two weeks ago joined in on the idea amd stated that he had contact with Dr. Lowell Winston Principal of Northside High School and could get the gym for the event. Hastings made a personal visit to the Northside and spoke with Winston who thought that the idea was a great one and okayed the use of the school.

I have promoted the meeting both here and on my radio show hoping that we could feel the gym with Black men so that we can ask them why are they doing some of the things that they are go. and what can we as older Black men do to help them. The meetings is also a way of creating committees to deal with neighborhood watch with the concept of reporting crime and criminals. This meeting is just the first in dealing with the plight of the black community. There is already a planned meeting for females that will deal with the severe issue of teenage pregnancy.

I would think that Memphis City Schools would welcome the idea to host such a meeting that hope to create a positive force of support for them by also urging Black men to get involved with the education of their children and to get involved in their children lives if they are out.

But Memphis City Schools wants no part of this idea. On Thursday I received the following email from Quinton Taylor the head of Communications for the schools system:

After receiving the email i gave Mr. Taylor a call and he explained to me that the meeting would not be able to take place. When I asked him why, He stated that Dr. Winston didn't follow the proper procedure in allowing use of the facility. I told Mr. Taylor that I was aware that Pastor Hastings and others have used the school in the past he stated to me that Winston in those cases hadn't follow the system's policy that allows use of school property.

I told Taylor that I knew he was full of shit and that the denial was because the thought was that I personally wanted use of the school. i also stated to Taylor that I would think that the system would want to be a part of working with Black males especially young black males that present a problem each school day. At this point Taylor told me that he was just the messenger,which means that the only person who could prevent Winston from allowing the use of Northside was Kriner Cash.

I discussed on my radio show on Wednesday "Why is it that the $240,000 Black man against saving our youth". I spoke of how I can not understand why Cash would close the doors on Black men. Is he just another political figure who plays the role of being concern when all he really wants to do is Cash in on the $240,000 a year he's being paid to lead a system where he has not proven he's worth the money yet.

While reading this email during the show my cell phone rung I went to a break to answer it because it was pastor Hastings on the line. Apparently the pastor had been contacted by Taylor or someone else at the school stating that there had been a miscommunication and that the meeting could take place with some restraints. I had already spoken with Hastings when I got the first email about using his church which is also on Vollentine to hold the meeting and stated I didn't care now to have the meeting at Northside.

The only reason that MCS now wants to hold the meeting at Northside is because I was on air exposing Cash for the self serving head of schools that he is. I will not allow Cash to play with the lives of black men just to feed his ego.

By the way Dr. Cash I will soon be doing a story on how drugs are getting into some of our schools........some close to the system are saying that it's not just the students thats selling drugs but some teachers and maintenance people. Also dr.cash some within the system are also concerned about why they're being bypassed for jobs while you're bringing in your friends from florida.

SIDENOTE: This morning I received a call from my attorney Javier Bailey,Who received a call from Pastor Tony Hastings who had received a call from both Dr Lowell Winston of Northside High and Kriner Cash. It seems that Cash wants to retract his position and allow the Black men's meeting to take place at the school.

When Hastings received the call from Cash asking him to speak with me he informed him that Bailey would be the best person to make contact with me. It's apparent that Cash or his staff was listening to my radio show and made the decision that he does not like good for the Black head of the school system to seem to be against Black boys and men meeting to make a better community,Thus the change of heart.

Bailey also received a call from Dr. Winston who stated that it was not him that made the decision to pull the school away and that if I would go forth with the meeting at the school he would make sure to be in attendance.

My first thought was to refuse the offer and allow the meeting to take place at New Bellevue Church which is unable to hold the hopeful number of Black males that need to be in attendance, But this issue is bigger than egos and positions of status and it's not about me but a about changing the conditions of the Black community and to formulate plans of action to do so. So I except Cash's retraction and the meeting is on for this Saturday at 1PM at Northside High School.

IT'S NOT OVER,BUT JANIS AND HAROLD ENJOY THE CANDY WHILE YOU WAIT

many in the Black community are wondering if Janis Fullilove and Harold Collins have received their 30 pieces of silver for changing there votes to allow the MPD to recruit 20 miles outside of the city of Memphis. Many also believe that Janis has cut a deal with Collins boss Bill Gibbons to lessen her charges.

In 2004 the citizens of Memphis spoke requesting that all employees of the city of Memphis live here but the council has taken it upon themes to change the will of the voters and serve their agendas. What good is it to vote on an issue when the Memphis City Council can come alone and change the will of the people?

But if Janis and Harold thinks that its all over,then they have another think coming. By Monday attorney Javier Bailey will file a class action lawsuit against the city of Memphis and the Memphis city council. The lawsuit will also ask for injuntive relief causing a halt to the new residency law until the matter can be settled in a court of law. By the way Collins has to know that the $1400 he wants the recruits to pay is illegal how can the city force a recruit who lives outside of memphis $1400 when the recruit from Memphis pays nothing.

Another issue with the $1400 is the fact it appears to be a tax based on getting a job with the City of Memphis,Wouldn't that be a payroll tax? Which the city council does not have the power to impose.

IT'S TIME FOR BLACK BOYS AND MEN TO MEET TO DISCUSS HOW TO STOP THE MADNESS

While a protest was going on a black away concerning the killing of a Demarrius Stevenson a Black man killed by an Arabian, 28 year old Demarion McGowan was gunned down by other Black men. At the time of this posting there has been 6 homicides in Memphis with at least 3 if not more taking place in Klondyke where both Demarion and Demarrius were killed.

It is my opinion that the Black community can no longer just get upset when the death of Black men are caused by Whites or members of other races but we must become equally concerned with Black on Black killing.

On my radio show I have tried to address the fact that the problems of the Black community can no longer be blamed on Whites and that Blacks must take responsibility for the ills of our community. While I have tried to discuss economic empowerment and the building up of community wealth and doing business with Blacks the course must now to changed to self empowerment and the call to Black men to stop the killing,robbing,raping,and various larcenies that is running rampant in Black Memphis.

There must be a call to Black boys and men to pull up their pants educate themselves so that that can legally empower themselves and be an asset to themselves and to their loved ones. A discussion is needed with Black men to find out what is going on and why it's going on.

I don't have the answers but I know that I must do more than just publish a blog and discuss this issue behind a mic, Thus I along with Pastor Tony Hastings of new Bellevue Baptist church and other concerned citizens have decided to call for a Black Men Meeting to be held this Saturday in the gym of Northside High at 1PM.

I am calling for all Black men to assemble to discuss our problems and to formulate a plan to mentor our young men and to take a stand against the crimes being committed. I have suggested that a "Snitch Committee " be organized to tip police off to planned crimes and to give law enforcement the names of those committing crimes in the Black community.

No longer can the Black community wait on the Black poli-trick-an or the Black church we must now take the bull by the horns for ourselves. I don't have the answers to the problems but hopefully we can start the discussions on how to solve some of the problems.

This meeting is open to Black males from the age of 8 years old to 100. I'm asking that mothers will bring both their sons and their men to this meeting that will have no poli-trick-ans speaking. If the Black poli-trick-an cared enough to do something then it would not be I calling for this meeting and discussion. I'm asking that gang leaders attend so that we can ask them to address their members and call for a moratorium on killing and gang violence. In fact all of the men present will be asked to become role models and to actively take a stand against crime and violence and to serve those up in our community who make the choice to destroy our communities,women, And women.

MEETING TAKES PLACE THIS SATURDAY AT 1PM @ NORTHSIDE HIGH SCHOOL GYM ALL BLACK MALES ARE INVITED TO ATTEND.

I hope that the local media that reports the crimes of Blacks will report that a meeting is taking place to reduce the crimes committed by blacks.

ARABIANS LOSE BUSINESS DUE TO MURDER OF COMMUNITY LOCAL

Family,Friends,And concerned citizens of North Memphis staged a protest at the Northside Convenience store on Saturday in memory of Demarrius Stevenson who was murdered on January 1,2009 by a man of Arabian descent at the Watkins Street Grocery owned by the same Arabians.

The group which organized itself two weeks ago at a neighborhood meeting calling for community empowerment and a end to senseless killings is asking citizens of the Klondyke area not to do business with the Arabian store owners who the group states has no respect for Blacks or their lives.

While many that pulled up to the station located at Jackson and Watkins purchased gas and other items many joined in the protest by driving off the lot and stating that they would no longer patronize the store or the other stores owned by the Arabians in the area.

patrons going in the store were told that "doing business at this store could cause you your life" a reflection of how Stevenson died over 15 cents owed to the store clerk who came from behind a bulletproof glass to kill the young nightclub owner and father. Police were called to the store not because the protesters were breaking the law but because the Arabians didn't like the presence of the peaceful by yet forceful group. The police told the owners that the group had the right to protest as long as they stayed on the sidewalk and acted peacefully.

The protest will continue this weekend which could put a great dent in revenue seeing that the first of the month brings out those who receive various types of government checks that produce great revenue for community stores.

DID FORMER OFFICER'S CONSCIENCE GET TO HIM OR SOMEONE ELSE?

Sources within 201 Poplar state that former police officer James Swain was found dead on Tuesday from what appears to be suicide. Swain was fired in 2008 for his role in the jailhouse beating of transgendered Duanna Johnson. The sources also state that MPD is going out of it's way to keep Swain's death hush hush.

The beating of Johnson was shown nationally due to the fact that the jailhouse tape of the beating was leaked out to the attorney of Duanna Johnson. In the tape Swain can clearly be seen holding Johnson down as his partner Bridges McRae can plainly be seen beating Johnson with handcuffs wrapped around his fists.

What could have troubled the 25 year old so that he would take his life? Did his conscience get the best of him, Or did someone who didn't want him to become a witness for the defense get to him.Or did the persons who murdered Duanna Johnson several months ago get to him?

HAIL TO MY FEET,OOPS I MEAN THE CHIEF

The crowd was huge at 3am in DC as thousands tried to make there way early to be in place to watch President Barack Obama sworn in to become the most powerful man on the planet.

Buses by the thousands where parked at the RFK football stadium as passengers were shuttled from RFK to a area close to downtown DC. After getting off the shuttle I walked at least 3 miles to get close to the National Mall where thousands were already making their way to position themselves for the long day stand. The National mall was the area where those who did not have tickets would have to stand to glimpse the swearing in. As you can see from the pics the streets were packed and many had spent the night in the area just to have a spot close to the front.

It is my belief that Washington was not prepared for the massive number of people in the city on Tuesday. While various Federal and local law enforcement agencies could be seen trying to control the huge early morning crowd many other officers had to be brought in as the crowd grew larger causing thousands to stand in place for several hours as more law enforcement could position themselves.

Those with the tickets to enter the various gates also found themselves gobbled up in i the crowd with no easy task of finding their way. I had tickets for the purple gate which I found was at least 10 miles from where I had to get off the shuttle. I along with my walking companion Willie Boddie a local community activist walked through the streets of downtown Washington for about an hour until we could see the gates just a mile away.But we were told that for security reasons we could not cross the street to get to the gates but would have to walk 2 miles to enter the 3rd Street tunnel and then walk another 4 miles to come up on the other side.

Not use to walking I damn near died trying to get to Obama's swearing in.After walking through the tunnel which was mostly incline Boddie and myself still had another 4-5 miles to walk to the Purple gates.

Finally I could see the thousands standing trying to get in the purple gates Boddie and myself became a part of those who were pushing and shoving trying to make it in (kinda sounds like heaven doesn't it) as we got close and could see the Federal agents with their machine guns telling the crowd to have their purple tickets in hand Boddie realized that his ticket was not purple but blue. At that point I lost my walking companion because he now had to make his way to the blue gates.

After standing in the line to get in the purple gate you had to get in another line to be searched by Federal agents manning metal detectors,After which I was able to stand among 240,00 others who wanted to be a part of history. While I more than likely lost a few pounds and got in exercise that I would not have gotten,And after nearly passing out several times from the hours of non stop walking I was proud to be present in D.C as Barack Obama took the oath. But when he's reelected in 4 years I will mostly likely sing "Hail to the Chief" from the comfort of a sofa watching a big screen.

COHEN GOES OUT OF HIS WAY TO SERVE

On Monday as many of the citizens he represents converged on Washington D.C for the swearing in of the nation's first Black elected President Congressman Steve Cohen was doing what he does best for the citizens of the 9th Congressional District,Serving.

While lines wrapped around the various office buildings of U.S. Congress and Senate persons, Cohen was the only representative who was seen outside looking for the people he represents. While thousands from around the country had to brave the cold weather standing in long lines and going through security with just the hope of receiving a ticket to the reserved viewing areas to get a close up of the swearing in program, Cohen constantly made trips outside to usher Memphis citizens pass the lines and security taking them to his Washington office.

As with all congress members Cohen had only 198 tickets to give away even though his office had received over 6000 requests for the color coded tickets. The rules stated that the only way that a person could receive a ticket was in person so many who had made request didn't get tickets because they did not arrive either in Washington or at the congressman's office.

A lottery was held for the remaining tickets that were left over after those who made requests did not show up. The hallways outside of Cohen's office was full of Memphis hopefuls all wanting tickets so Cohen had persons placed their ID's in a box and a young man was chosen to reach in and pick of various ID's so that their could be a fair process to give away the remaining tickets.

Many showed up at the congressman's office who had not made a request some thinking that because that had been there the longest that they should have received first choice.But Cohen wanting to be fair shose the lottery process and most left the Rayburn Building happy.

Thanks Congressman Cohen for again showing the 9th Congressional District why you were the better choice.

I'M OFF TO WASHINGHTON

Today I will be leaving for Washington D.C. to watch the swearing in of the first Black President of the United States of America. This is a great moment in history and the greatest day in the history of Blacks in this country and could not allow this day to come forth without being present.

I will be monitoring and blogging from D.C. plus I will be broadcasting live Monday and Tuesday on my radio show which airs daily from 4-7 on AM 990 KWAM. On Wednesday as I travel back to Memphis I will be rebroadcasting "Snakes In the Pulpit" with the author of a book by the same name, Reuben Armstrong.

Monday I will also take part in a march presented by Rev. Al Sharpton celebrating the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. It's a great feeling to celebrate the life of King on Monday and swear in the first Black President on Tuesday,Truly Black America has come from the fields to the White house,From the back of the bus to the Oval office. TO CATCH A CROOK

For immediate release: Attached to this email are the still photos of the suspect responsible for this morning’s robbery on the campus of Lemoyne-Owen College. He was captured on video surveillance as he entered the building.

The suspect is not in police custody at this time. No one was injured and no gunshots were fired by the suspect during the robbery. The suspect was described as an African-American man armed with a silver handgun, approximately mid 20s to early 30s, about 5’8’’ to 6’0’’ tall, slim build. He was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The suspect may have been wearing a black wig when he entered the classroom.

The preliminary investigation revealed the lone armed suspect entered Steele Hall located at 807 Walker Avenue shortly after 11am and demanded purses and wallets from eighteen (18) students and one teacher in the classroom. A second teacher came to the classroom during the robbery and was also confronted by the suspect. Memphis Police received the call at 11:15 am. Union Station officers were on the scene within five (5) minutes. Items such as cash and jewelry were taken from the victims.

The students’ ages ranged from 17 to 40 years old. One female student was transported to the hospital for a medical complaint unrelated to the investigation. Robbery investigators made the scene and took detailed statements from the victims. MPD Air Support Unit and investigators with ATF assisted in searching for the suspect in the immediate area around the campus.

Anyone with information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect is asked to call the MPD Robbery Division at 545.3980 or Crime Stoppers at 528.CASH.

NORTH MEMPHIS CITIZENS SAY "THUMBS UP" TO CHANGE

On Thursday night about 125 African Americans came together at the New Bellevue Baptist Church to formulate plans to take back the North Memphis area known as Klondyke. The meeting was called by myself and members of the family of Darrimus Stevenson who was killed January 1st over 15 cents by the owner of a store on Watkins.

One of the main issues discussed was the fact that Blacks can no longer just get upset when someone of another race kills a black,But Blacks must get just as upset over Blacks killing Blacks. A meeting has been planned for January 31,2009 where Black men will gather to discuss mentoring young Black men and call for pulling up the pants and taking leadership roles in our homes and communities.

The meeting will also address crime in the Black community and strategies to make a reduction in the number of crimes committed by young Black men. A "Snitching" committee will also be introduced to aid law enforcement in arresting those who commit crimes in a effort to save our streets and its citizens. the meeting will call for all male Blacks young and old around the city not just in North Memphis to attend and address the problems of the Black community.

A woman's meeting will be held after the men's meeting to discuss the raising of Black children, The woman's committee will also address the education of our children plus the serious problem of teenage pregnancy.

A date was selected to protest the Arab stores in North Memphis to protest the mistreatment given by them and the killing of Stevenson. Also a request will be made to District Attorney Bill Gibbons to upgrade the charge against Stevenson's killer from second degree murder to first degree seeing that he left the safety of his bullet proof glass and came outside the store with a gun in hand to take the life of the business owner,father,and soon to be husband.

Lastly a date has been picked to picket the office of city Councilman Joe Brown who seems to have no concern for the citizens he represents. A message will be sent to him that North Memphis has not seen the benefit of having him in office and let him know that if he and those who represent the area can not bring growth and dollars for business development to the area a strong push will be made to remove them from office in the next city election.

I have made the decision to use this site and my radio show to combat the serious problem of crime in the black community and not allow the excuses of "It's the White man's fault" to be used. the Black community can not depend on the Black poli-trick-an or the black preacher, we must now take back our communities and save our children ourselves. I don't have the answers but I will hold the needed forums without the presences of the so called black leaders and listen to the common people who are the only ones who can make the difference.

Darrimus Stevensons was the owner of a club in North Memphis called "Thumbs Up" so the group tonight took on that name to call for change in the North Memphis area. Thumbs Up to the reduction of crime, Thumbs Up to Black men being men and taking the leading role to end the downward spiral in the community that leads to crime, gangs, and drugs. Thumbs Up to calling out Black leaders who have self serving interest and removing them from office. the group that met tonight when others speak negative and think that change can not come they will only reply with "Thumbs Up".

WAS ASHLEY HAVING AN AFFAIR AND WHO REALLY SENT THE TEXT MESSAGE

On Monday morning as potential jurors were being selected for the trial of Jeffery Scott who is accused of killing his wife Ashley state prosecutor Missy Branham told the potential jurors "We are going to go behind the close doors of Jeffery and Ashley Scott". Branham went on to state "There may be evidence of extra martial affairs on both parts.

In 2007 after the murder of Ashley Scott I was told by sources within MPD that Scott was having an affair with Memphis Police Director Larry Godwin and that the text messages were from Godwin to Scott and was removed by long time Godwin crony Jeff Clark. Here's a reprint of the story I wrote in December of 2007 as related to me by MPD sources:

I was told today by both black and white police officers that one of the reasons that crime is the highest that it has ever been is because police officers have lost trust in Director Larry Goodwin and his staff. Many are concerned that his "Blue Crush" numbers are just for public relations and does not accurately tell what is really going on when it comes to the crime problem in this city.

I'm told by some officers that if Willie Herenton wants to see a reduction in crime he needs to get rid of Godwin.But on the matter of Godwin and Ashley Scott. I am told by high ranking officials in the police department that the text messages in the phone of Scott came from Godwin and that he is using Lt Joe Scott a long time friend and former head of the homicide unit to cover his involvement with Ashley Scott.

It is believed that Jeffery Scott struck his wife and caused her death because of text messages in her cell phone of a intimate nature. I'm told that when Joe Scott checked the cell phone he recognized the number that produced the messages to be that of Godwin, and sought out to protect his boss and friend.Some police officials believed that to reward Lt.Joe Scott for attempting to cover his involvement with Ashley Scott he was given the job of being in charge of " Crimes Against Persons" which is normally lead by an inspector. Joe Scott was also given an 5% "Out Of Rank" pay increase. This has angered majors and inspectors who now take orders from someone with a lesser rank.

The new position that Lt. Scott holds covers Homicide, Robbery, and Sex Crimes. I must note that Scott received this new job after the Thanksgiving death of Ashley Scott.Larry Godwin who is my next door(At the time of the first publishing of this story) neighbor,lived within walking distance of Ashley Wood,in fact the walk from his home to where she was living can be walked in less than 3 minutes, So is it possible that Godwin could have known Ashley Scott?

I reported that the information of the text messages was also known to Attorney Leslie Ballin who represents Jeffery Scott the husband and accused killer of Ashley. I spoke with Leslie today at 201 Poplar, who mentioned to me that this morning that Larry Godwin approached him as they were walking in the building and told him that he didn't know Ashley Scott.Why would the Director of Police tell an attorney that he's not guilty of sending text messages to Scott. I relayed to Ballin that I have also been told that the messages were erased from the phone, but that the carrier of the service would still have those messages.

If Godwin bears no guilt or involvement in the death of Ashley Wood why would he go to Ballin?It must also be stated that if what is being said about Lt.Joe Scott is true he could come up on charges of obstructing justice.There's an old saying that says " If you throw a stone into a pack of dogs, the dog that gets hit hollers first".

ARE NEIGHBORHOOD STORES CONTRIBUTING TO THE DRUG TRADE?

In many neighborhood stores in the inner city you will find on the checkout counter what appears to be an object of affection when it in fact is a tool used to smoke crack.

The object appears to be a small rose in a vase but the obect is really a straight shooter. A straight shooter is used as a tool to smoke crack alone with a wire material used as a filter.

I'm also told that there are stores in North Memphis owned by Arabs that sell the "Brown Bag Special" where for $4.00 you get a straight shooter and a screen in a brown paper bag. The bag is only sold to known neighborhood crackheads.

Does the police know of the selling of these objects and if so why are these stores allowed to contribute to the drug trade. And if these stores sell objects to smoke crack is there a chance that they are also selling it?

WHITE OFFICER CHARGED WITH DUI FIRED WHILE BLACK OFFICER CHARGED WITH SAME OFFENSE WITH TIES TO HERENTON REMAINS ON JOB

On Tuesday afternoon Thomas Motts a White City of Memphis police officer was fired for a DUI offense that happened last year,While Eric Dates the son of Cliff Dates who is a long time confidant of Mayor Willie Herenton who was charged with the very same offense last year remains on the job.

On June 10th of last year police officer Eric Dates was found slumped over his wheel at Riverdale and Winchester. Police officers arriving on the scene saw 4 40oz bottles of Miller Lite,3 empty and the fourth half full. Police reports state that Dates who had the smell of alcohol and slurred speech refused to take the drunk test which under state law calls for at least 5 days in jail with a mandatory revoking of license,which would make it very impossible for a police officer to patrol the streets of Memphis.

All charges were dropped against Dates accept the open container law which Dates was fined $50. even though the law calls for certain things to happen,Bill Gibbons office alone with Director Larry Godwin more than likely dropped the charges because Eric Dates is the son of Cliff Dates a long time friend and confidant of Willie Herenton.

But the public must be concerned about why didn't Officer Thomas Mote who was arrested for the same crime receive the same slap on the wrist as Dates. There is no doubt in my mind that Cliff Dates spoke with his friend Herenton who made the backroom deal come together that would allow Eric Dates to go free and perhaps kill someone driving drunk.

Officer Thomas Mote on June 21,2008 just weeks after the arrest of Dates found himself in the very same fix as his fellow officer. He was found slumped over his wheel at Summer and Lester in his silver 06 Monto Carlo. Like Dates he had the smell of alcohol. Mote also had bloodshot eyes and staggered as he walked. Like Dates he refused to take the breath test and was placed under arrest and taken to jail.

Mote more than likely does not have a father who is a close friend of the mayor but he deserves to receive the same treatment as Eric Dates. There is no doubt that Bill Gibbons office had to be in on dismissing Dates charges,so why shouldn't Mote be allowed to keep his job.Police Director Larry Godwin because he loves the taste of the mayor's ass dares not to do the right thing and fire Dates so Mote should to sue the city and Gibbons.

Right is right and wrong is wrong if Motes was fired today Eric Dates should have also been fired. I wonder if any city council member has the guts to call Larry Godwin's hand on this miscarriage of justice. I wonder if the so called mainstream media will question the mayor as to why his friend's son was allowed to remain on the job after a DUI while a White officer was fired. Feds here's something else for you to look into.

WOULD YOU VOTE FOR BILL FOR GOVERNOR JUST TO GET HIM OUT OF THE D.A.'S OFFICE?

Now that Bill Frist has decided not to run for the governor of Tennessee Shelby County District Attorney Bill Gibbons says he's running. His platform he states will be crime and education,Damn you would think he would start with crime in Shelby County before he tries to take on the whole state.

LOCAL PASTOR TELLS MEMBERS TO SACRIFICE A WHOLE WEEK'S PAY TO THE CHURCH

Bishop Edward Stephens after finishing his morning sermon on Sunday told his members not to listen to my radio program concerning preachers who fleece their flocks,and then told the members that on the second Sunday in February the church will be celebrating its anniversary and he wants them to make a sacrifice offering of their whole salary for that week.

Sources within the church who listen everyday to my show state that members just looked at each other without the usual "Amen Bishop" shouts. Some members wonder how in these hard financial times their pastor could ask them to give up a whole weeks pay to the church without telling them what the money is being given for.

While the members of Golden Gate Cathedral a church rumored to have been built with money from jailed drug dealer Skinny Pimp will miss paying bills if they are stupid enough to follow their pastor's wishes,Stephens will not be reduced to giving up his very lavish lifestyle which has been provided him by the members he's trying to fleece.

Stephens drives a Bentley and lives in a $1,207,500 home located at 973 E. Timberlake Dr. And owns another home at 9386 Forest Station in Collierville valued at $566,000. Hopefully the members of Golden Gate will take the shears out of the hands of this pulpit pimp who has clearly fleeced them.
