LOCAL MAN SAYS THAT THE NATION IS BEING BLINDSIDED BY NEW MOVIE AND THAT HE WAS THE ONE WHO TOOK MICHAEL OHER IN

The movie "Blindside" starring Sandra Bullock portrays her as Leigh Ann Touhy who along with her husband Sean take in a homeless Black child and changing his life. The movie portrays Baltimore Raven's Michael Oher as that child who they placed in Briercrest Christian School, leading him to their Alma mater Mississippi State University. The movie has had great reviews and it seems as though everyone believes that Oher did not have a place to live when he was taken in by the Touhy's.

I have been contacted by a local man who states that the movie is "Blindsiding" the nation with a bogus account of really was going on with Michael Oher. On Tuesday's "The Thaddeus Matthews Show" which airs daily on AM 990 KWAM, and viewed on this site from 4-7 PM, Anthony Burrows will be my guest.

Mr. Burrows states that at the time the Touhy's met Oher, the so called homeless Black child was living with him. Burrows also states that the Touchy's are fully aware of Oher's living arrangements because they pick him up and dropped him off at his home. Burrows also states that his son Quinterio Franklin whose a close friend of Oher flew on a private jet last year with the Touhy's when Oher was drafted by the NFL.

Burrows also states that Michael Oher was already enrolled at Briercrest when the Touhy's met him and that he only stayed with them for 8 months. Burrows believes that the Touhy's took Oher in and giving him presents because they wanted him to attend "Ole Miss". Burrows states that the so called homeless child also had a paper route and that many in his community including his pastor and the barber that cut his hair knows the truth.

IS THERE RACISM ON THE CAMPUS OF RHODES COLLEGE, BLACK STUDENT BEATEN BY SEVERAL WHITE MALES AT FRAT PARTY

Earlier this week I received a call from a mother who is Black who stated that her son had been badly beaten by several White male at a frat party. The mother, Tressia Armacher stated that her 6'4" 255 lb son Steven Armacher had been held down by several White males while beaten by a much smaller male White male. Ms. Armacher also stated that her sons and the White male who beat her son were students at Rhodes College.

I invited Ms Armacher to come by the radio station to show me what she states is proof that her son was beaten. In our meeting Ms Armacher presented pictures that show her son's eyes swollen shut,She also brought along the bloody clothing that her son had on on the night of the beating. Believing that the administration is harassing her and seeking to keep this matter and on campus issue he also supplied me with a log of her conversations with Rhodes officials after the beating took place. Steven Armacher also supplied a statement of occurrences.

Steven states that on Saturday afternoon October 24,2009 while he was going to get some food,Steven Cohen approached him and invited him to a frat party that he (Cohen) and his roommate Steven Lockard were having later that night. Armacher states that the two White males throwing the party were Pikes Pi Kappa Alpha students.

Armacher states that he rode to the party which took place at 1297 Peabody with other frat brothers including his roommate,Tommy Lockwood which also is White. Armacher states that he was playing a beer game and got bumped from the game when he got up to go to the rest room. He was disturbed about being bumped and states that he told the others so,and then moved to another side of the room and just "chilled'.

Armacher states that he told his roommate that he was ready to live. He states that as he walked out Tommy and other frat brothers were behind him,and as someone said something to him and turned around he states that he was speared from the side which caught him off guard. He states that someone grabbed his neck and arms and he went to the ground.

Armacher states that when he went to the ground some one straddled him and started to punch him in the face. He states that the White male was wearing a white shirt and had a dark buzz haircut. He goes on to state that he attempted to raise his arms to block the punches but his arms were being held down. He states he could not see because his eyeglasses were busted up and blood from the beating was running into his eyes.

He states that he was in so much pain from the beating and his arms being pinned down that he passed out, Armacher goes on to state that he could feel arms around his neck choking him to the point that he could not breathe. Armacher states that his roommate and the frat brothers he went to the party with later told him that they had tried to pull him from underneath the guy who was pounding him in the face. My question is why didn't his so called friends and frat brothers pull the other guy off him and who was holding him down?

Armacher states that at some point he was able to get up and was trying to find out who attacked him, but he was grabbed again from the back around the neck and arms. He states that his roommates were pulling him and telling him that he was in no shape with his face and head bleeding.

Armacher states that Charles,another White male from Rhodes pulled up in a dark green jeep and they drove him around and around in circles,talking and talking. He states he does not remember what they were saying just talking and talking. He states they eventually took him back to Rhodes campus. Armacher couldn't locate him phone so he used someone else's phone to call his cousin BJ. He states as he was telling BJ that someone jumped him and to come and get him,someone took the phone from him. He states he got the phone again and called his brother Blake.

Armacher states that Tommy and the others kept telling him that they had his back,but they didn't. He remembers that not one of them had his back or tried to help him while he was getting his ass kicked. Armacher states that he feels betrayed by his friends.

Ms. Armacher states to me that her other son did in fact receive a call from Steven but the phone call disconnected.She states she pressed the redial and Tommy Lockwood answered the phone she asked "Whats wrong with Steven"? he replies, "Nothing wrong just a altercation,he,fine". The mother goes on to ask "Is my son injured?" where he replies, "Just a couple of scrapes, we're taking him back to campus" She goes on to ask "Was drinking involved?" He replies "Yes Ma'am I made him drink".

Tressia Amacher states that she was told by Tommy Lockwood that she did not need to come to the campus but she went anyway. She states when she arrived at the dorm someone buzzed her in and that when she arrived at her son's room several White males had her son surrounded and he was whimpering. When she called his name he turned to her and she could see his eyes swollen shut and badly bleeding. This mother feels that her son was beaten by his so called friends and that the beating took place because he was Black at a Pikes Pi Kappa Alpha frat party. She also feels as though the administration of Rhodes College have sought to harass her and cover the beating of her son up

I have read the post of those of you who are connected to Rhodes College and it's natural that you would do and say what is needed to protect your school. But it's very apparent that Steven Amacher was beaten by the picture of his face being swollen and bloodied. It's also apparent from his clothing that he was beaten. The history of Pikes Pi Kappa Alpha organization is one that has severe racial overtones. There are numerous stories on the net that speak of other incidents on college campuses that were racial including one where members of the organization had a "Dress like a nigger day".

The other students remember Steven remembers being at the frat party besides Steven Cohen and Tommy Lockwood, is Alex Lippincott,Becca Miller,Colin Fleck, Justin Birkmeyer, Ed Copola Michelle Goodman who Steven states is the girlfriend of Copola who are students at Vanderbilt Tiffany Cosegh, and a Black frat brother who Steven states lives next door to George Bush in Texas named Mike.

On Monday both Steven and his mother will be guest on my show,'The Thaddeus Matthews Show" from 4-7pm on Am 990 KWAM. Ms Amacher is seeking legal counsel and may be filing a federal lawsuit against the organization and Rhodes College.

HAROLD FORD SR. IS THE NEW MAYOR OF SHELBY COUNTY

Congratulations to Harold Ford Sr,he finally became the mayor of Shelby County and he has the job and does not even have to live here. The selection of Joseph Ford to the position of county mayor by his fellow partners in crime has given Ford Sr. who controls his brother the opportunity to take control of the county and contracts.

Even though I knew that a deal had been cut weeks ago for Joe Ford to be selected and for his son Justin Ford to replace him on the commission I was foolish enough to believe several persons very close to the commission when they stated that they wanted a fair process which did not have to make one of them mayor. Well I got played and so did the citizens of Shelby County.

Harold Ford Sr. has always controlled Joe and it is now my belief that the firing of Joe by Harold from the family funeral home, N.J.Ford and Sons was just a charade. Since the family firm is no longer owned solely by the family and a portion of profits go to a White owned Funeral conglomerate which also owns locally Memorial Park Funeral Home it is my belief that Joe Ford's Funeral Home is just a front for big brother. By the way if you want to know why Commissioner Wyatt Bunker supported Ford so strongly ask him how much money he and his family has made from Joe and Harold over the years from the leasing of funeral cars and hearses from Bunker Leasing Company.

I was told this morning by a county official that the W.Otis Higgs slant was just a diversion by commissioners to take the public's eye off what was really going on. Judge Higgs had no idea what was going on and was just a pawn in a political chess game.

The citizens of Shelby County should be watchful during the term of Joe Ford as to where contracts are going and how many out of town firms connected to Harold Sr. receive them. You can also be sure that since Deidre Malone dared to resist Ford Sr. and allowed their confrontation to go public that Joseph Ford will be a candidate for county mayor next year,which means she will be DOA at the polls.

Citizens of Shelby County need to push for the resistance by county commissioners of Justin Ford to replace his father. First of all it would be a conflict of interest since he would be able to vote for items his father wants. Secondly he would be controlled by both his father and his uncle, By most important is the fact that he has no history of public service and has not shown an interest by appearing at either public forums or at commission meetings.

Unlike his cousin city councilman Edmund Ford Jr who for 3 years prior to running for the office attended every council meeting including early morning committee meeting, driving from school in Nashville just to learn what the office was all about and to be versed on city issues, Justin has not found that need and feels that his name along is enough for him to replace his father.

Harold Ford Sr. has finally got his wish and you East Memphis Devils, and us Inner City Devils had better beware because Satan now has control.

REV. JUDGE W.OTIS.HIGGS WILL ADD THE TITLE OF MAYOR TO HIS NAME LATER TODAY

If my county sources are correct Rev.Judge W. Otis. Higgs will become the next mayor of Shelby County. I'm told that the Criminal court judge and pastor of the Collins Chapel C.M.E. Church has 7 confirmed votes and should be selected by the Shelby County Commission on the first round of votes.

After the commission on last week voted 24 times and could not select between fellow commissioners Joseph Ford an J.W. Gibson many of the commissioners sought to look outside of themselves and do what should have been done at first select someone who is not posturing or serving an political agenda.

If Higgs is selected Memphis and Shelby County will have a mayor who is known for his fairness both on and off the bench,and a man who has served this community for many years.

J.W. GIBSON HAS RECEIVED WHILE IN OFFICE OVER $1 MILLION IN CITY AND COUNTY GRANT MONEY TO DEVELOP SOUTH MEMPHIS PROPERTY

Shelby County Commissioner James Wesley Gibson II wants to become the next mayor of Shelby County and spoke negatively about the finances of fellow commission member Joe Ford who also wants the job. But while speaking about Ford, J.W. has not revealed that while serving on the commission and as a board member of the Memphis/Shelby County Community Redevelopment Agency he received a little over $1 million dollars in grant money to redevelop property in South Memphis.

According to the Shelby County portal The function of The Memphis/Shelby County Redevelopment Agency is to prepare public health,safety and welfare of residents and to provide affordable housing and to inhibit slums and blighted areas. In other words go into the blighted areas and build low income housing, which is what the elected official is doing with money that he does not have to pay back which he received while holding office and serving on a board that decides what areas are to be developed and who gets the contract.

City of Memphis documents show that Southeast Regional Development Corporation received $500,000 from the City of Memphis Housing and Community Developments in 2005 , along with an additional $200,000 to support infrastructure for the project. And another $815,000 from the city and county in 2007. Gibson was elected to the commission in 2006.

What I also find strange is that in other documents that I received concerning this matter there is a conflict of interest clause that involves the involvement of elected officials. This portion of the contract between Gibson and Memphis/Shelby County reads "The Developer certifies that no developer employer,employer of HCD,elected official or any member of Congress of the United States shall be admitted to any financial share or interest in any part of this agreement". This clause in the contract makes the receiving of funds by Gibson and illegal act.

The project being funded is called The Wesley Forest Homes which is located in South Memphis off of Neely Road. The property which still is not developed,with only several houses built is a $6,000,000 project which is to consist of homes ranging in 1100 to 2000 sq ft.offering moderate income citizens the choice of medium to large lots with 12 house designs and prices.

The company developing the project,Southeast Regional Development Corporation according to charter document filed with the State of Tennessee show J.W. Gibson has the registering agent using Gibson's Cromwell address. Gibson is also the person who signed the agreement with the city to receive the funds ,So I believe it's safe to say that J.W. Gibson is the developer.

The Shelby County and Bill Gibbons office should be inquiring as to if the commissioner has used his position to obtain funds from the city and county and where those funds are now since the property has not been developed. I'm sure the CA will investigate this matter as hard as they have investigated Willie Herenton's development deals.

By the way since J.W. Gipson is married to a multimillionaire in the person of Kathy Buckman Gipson chairman of the board of Buckman Labs why not use her money for his project?

SOURCES STATE THAT ISSUES AT MEMPHIS ANIMAL SHELTER IS A CONSPIRACY TO TURN OVER THE SHELTER FOR PRIVATE USE

While a lot has been said about the Memphis Animal Shelter the truth has not been told. The CA posted pictures of what was told to be a starving dog but the fact is that the two pictures shown are that of two different dogs,And more than than that the Wharton administration is totally aware of it and has the pictures to prove it.

Sources within the shelter believe that the whistle blower to the District Attorney's office is part time vet Dr. Rebeca Coleman who they state wanted the full time vet position held by Dr.Angela Middleton who has been relieved of duty.

But lets look at the facts as given by the sources that have not been reported.The dogs shown in the CA were two of three dogs locked in an abandon house at 596 E. Mallory. The next door neighbor had call ed the animal shelter complaining about the noise that the dogs were making. On August 18, animal control officers Daryl Hudson and John Cox went to the rear of the abandon residence and could both hear and see the dogs but the door was locked. Cox and Hudson called their supervisor Ivan Russell who arrived on the scene.

After also finding the door locked and seeing the animals Russell call the police and fire departments, I'm told by Russell whose name and number I was given by the sources that the fire department opened the door so that the animal control officers could go in and retrieve the animals. Russell states that there were three dogs present with one of the dogs suffering from severe malnutrition. Russell also stated to me that he took pictures of the three dogs giving a set to fired administer Earnest Alexander who Russell states gave the pictures to Janet Hooks whose serving as the head officer of the animal shelter advisory committee and a member of the Wharton administration.

Russell along with the sources state that Dr. Coleman examined the three dogs knowing that the pictured dog was suffering from malnutrition upon arrival and not the 72 hour period as reported. The sources also state that he is not uncommon for the shelter to have starving dogs on its premises seeing that they pick up dogs around the city in all conditions.

The sources state that the pictures the CA posted showing the dog who is supposed to be dying from starvation was staged by Dr. Coleman in hopes of getting both Dr.Middleton and Earnest Alexander. The sources state that Coleman took pictures of two of the three dogs and passed them off as one dog.

But why hasn't the city reported that they have pictures that show that the citizens have been mislead? Why has the Wharton administration taken such a great concern about the shelter without reporting all the facts? Could it be because someone wants control of the shelter,In other words, PRIVATIZATION. Could there be a plan to give control of the center to a private company with the citizens of Memphis footing the bill?

The shelter issue has been nothing more than a farce used to make the employees look as though they are mistreating animals when the real concern is not animals but a conspiracy to defraud the community so as to take control of the Memphis Animal shelter.

HAROLD FORD SR. BURIES HIS BROTHER JOE

If Shelby County Commissioners who have supported Joe Ford for county mayor needed a reason to change their votes Harold Ford Sr. have given them their out. Monday's threat by Ford Sr. to commissioner Deidre Malone to attempt to destroy her political career if she didn't support his brother should be enough for Joe not to receive any votes and send a message to Senior that he should stick his nose in the business of Florida where he resides and not into local concerns.

Joe ford who has a long history of not paying employees at N.J. Ford and Sons Funeral Home has had his non payment history posted in the CA for the last few days. While I now that the stories were printed so that the last term commissioner would lose support, maybe the stories were needed to show everyone including myself what type of trouble the county could be in under his care.

The CA spoke of the $23,000 owed to a contractor who has placed a lien on his Funeral Home property on Winchester, his debt to the Carter Malone Group,and a IRS lien that has been paid.I found out yesterday that he also owes his hair dresser who also dresses his bodies over $2,000 and Mr. Earl Butts who has a body removal services nearly $500 for picking up several bodies that Ford has already been paid on.

Ford Sr. who lives Boca Raton does not have the influence that he once enjoyed in Shelby County and his attempt to strong arm Malone should be considered and insult by other commissioners and a NO vote from every commissioners should be given to Joe Ford.

Another thing Ford Sr. did not consider is that even though Commissioner Sidney Chism has supported his brother his involvement will most likely mean that he will lose that support. Chism has a strong loyalty to former Memphis mayor Willie Herenton and his support of Steve Cohen who Herenton plans to run against next year for congress did not sit well with Chism and Chism just may see this as a chance to get even. And you can be assured that the other commissioners will be urged to not be bullied by a former congressman with no clout.

AND WHAT DID HAROLD SR.PROMISE STEVE MULROY IS THEIR CONVERSATION?

MOTHER SHOULD SPEND THE REST OF HER LIFE IN PRISON

At last the murderer of two children has been indicted. While I am often critical of Shelby County D.A. Bill Gibbons and even though I think that the $250,000 bond is to low I must give him kudos for indicting Melodia Dunn who on October 19, left her two sons at home while she and a aunt went shopping her residence located 1240 Effie burned.

Is it possible that 3 year old Ladereon Dunn and his 2 year old brother Catereon were use to being left along and decided that they were hungry because their uncaring mother most likely didn't leave anything for them to eat and tried to cook?

Dunn has been charged with 2 counts of aggravated child neglect or endangerment along with 2 counts of reckless homicide which if found guilty could result in over 50 years in prison. The aggravated child neglect charge is a non parolable offense.

But what would be real justice is that 201 Poplar caught on fire and she was the only one unable to get out alive.

MPD STATES THAT THEY BOUGHT DRUGS FROM A MAN WHO WAS IN JAIL A MONTH BEFORE THEY SAY THEY PURCHASED THE DRUGS

The 4th amendment to the constitution guarantees citizens of this country that they will not be unlawfully seared by law enforcement and any one else. But yet on October 23,2009 in the Warren Apartments The City of Memphis Police not only broke the law but items within the home of Keisha Driver,located at 1389 Clementine Apt# 202.

A search warrant obtained by Detective Jeff Dennison who swore to a judge that his statements of probable cause were true states that undercover police officers bought crack cocaine 6 times from Stanley Collins and associates 5 days prior to the raid on the Warren Apartments on October 23,2009.

What makes Detective Dennison's warrant a violation of the constitution,and a cause that should be investigated by A.C. Wharton is the fact that Dennison's claim of buying drugs from Collins is a lie because Stanley Collins had been in jail since October 15,2009 and still remains there. In fact Collins has no drug arrest history at all.There is no way at all that Stanley Collins could have sold any drugs to Sheriff deputies so the warrant is an unlawful document and the city should pay for the items destroyed when the home was hit.

This case makes you wonder how many times has the MPD violated the rights of citizens in the city? How many times have officers lied just to get in some one's home. How many persons are in jail based on MPD lies? Can MPD be trusted?I wonder if the new mayor is as concerned about this matter as he is about some damn dogs? I wonder if he will call for an investigation into this matter and fire Director Godwin like he did the director of the Dog Pound.

I don't think that Wharton has the guts to take on Godwin or fight against the injustice done to Keisha Davis and her two small children. Wharton should call for an immediate investigation into this matter and call for the termination of Detective Dennison and any and all other parties included. I don't believe Wharton will say or do anything about this matter but Ms. Davis is preparing to file a multi million dollar lawsuit against the City of Memphis in Federal court

JOSEPH FORD TO BECOME NEXT MAYOR OF SHELBY COUNTY

Joseph Sampson Ford is predicted to be the next mayor of Shelby County. Joyce Avery will soon be replaced according to charter with a pick from the Shelby County Commission. With the need for only 7 votes to win sources state that Ford already has 5 committed votes and that fellow commissioner George Flinn who also wants the job will support Ford after he loses in the first round of voting by the commission.

J.W.Gibson also a commissioner wants to be considered for the job but the democratic controlled commission will most likely pass on Gibson who has strong republican ties. The selection of Ford by his fellow commissioners will finally put a Ford in control of local government.

The selection of Joseph Ford is not a bad choice because he defiantly knows politics and runs his own business,Joe Ford's Funeral Home after spending many years as the President of N.J. Ford and Sons Funeral Home. And surely if a lawyer can run the county a undertaker can as well. There will be those who will not want to see Joe as county mayor, Not because he's not qualified but because of his last Memphis. But then maybe not this "One Memphis" isn't it?

NO MATTER WHAT HERENTON PLANS TO RUN

Sources state that when U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder wasin Memphis several weeks ago he told the local U.S. Attorney that there was no smoking gun in the Willie Herenton investigation.But knowing that a republican ran U.S. Attorney's office will soon end the push is on to get Herenton indicted.

While the main stream media has focused on the $91,000 that Herenton Investments received from a business transaction with Brown Ventures, It has not stated that the real estate investment firm had an option on the Greyhound property months before Brown Ventures came to town. In fact prior to selling the option Herenton asked for a legal opinion from City Council attorney Alan Wade who is also used by the City Attorney's as well and that opinion was that there was nothing improper with the deal. Herenton also asked City Attorney Elbert Jefferson to investigate if any wrong doings had been done after the media reported the transaction.

The media eluded last week that Elbert Jefferson had some secret tape to give to the U.S. Attorney when in fact the tape was no secret the media just didn't know about it. Herenton was totally aware of the tape asking Jefferson to make the recording during the investigation he sought.

As in the Gwen Smith issue where the FBI, attorney Richard Fields, And Nick Clark all played a role in attempting to set Herenton up with the female who according to affidavits went to the home of Clark to meet with a FBI agent with Fields about Herenton. While the media played the conspiracy off they never mentioned that Smith took a lie-detector test and passed proving that all that she had stated was true. Neither the local U.S. Attorney or Bill Gibbons would move forward to investigate the matter even though Herenton made a written request.

This whole issue is not about Herenton going to jail but attempting to save Steve Cohen from defeat without the voters having a say. But this whole matter could back fire on the feds and Cohen who may knot even know he's a pawn. If the black community feels that as in the case of Joseph Lee that the Feds are going after another Black man unjustly,Or that the Feds are trying to save Cohen from defeat this could galvanize even the Black support that Herenton may have lost. And Cohen's being endorsed by Wharton will mean nothing seeing that the number of Whites in the 9th Congressional District is very small.

While an indictment may or may not come based on the decision U.S. Attorney Eric Holder makes after receiving the letter sent to him last week by Willie Herenton the former mayor says that he will be running for congress and that an indictment or the thought of one only makes him want to run harder. I can assure you that if an indictment comes down this whole "One Memphis" concept will be thrown out the window and Memphis can prepare itself for the greatest racial divide in its history.
